On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

We spent the night on hard chairs in the airport when we could have been re-booked on a flight out that night if they had been at all organized and efficient."

None of us were able to leave the airport as we were not told any information about potential flight departure times and it would have been $2000 to re-book with a different airline. No answers were given by SAS over the phone and their staff seemed unaware of any problems."

Made me get in an enlarged golf cart, and took me to the "transfer area" -- where I had to get into a wheel chair -- for the rest of the journey to the baggage claim area. Then he stood there waiting for a tip that was to NEVER come!"

Minusy: "First of all, I would like to start by saying that I flight with TAP very often. I guess you can check on your system. I had good experiences in the past and actually recommeded to friends/family. I hope this flight was an exception. A few things were not that good this time. 1) First of all, the online check-in wasn't working until a few hours before the flight, and I didn't even give me the option to choose my seat. Once in the plane, I noticed plenty of empty seats in several areas of the plane. I could have had a much better seat. Also, the fact that the price of the luggage in the ticket is not included is insane! They let you know right at the boarding area. Another 100 plus dollars in addition to the 1,6000 that I paid for the ticket. Incredible!! And they only gave us 15 dollars voucher!! 2) There was a 2 hours delay due to a storm in the south of the USA. Although I am fully understandable with the fact that this situation is out of hands for the TAP company, is it in their hands the care and wellbeing of their passengers. As previoulsy stated, I received a 15 dollars voucher to use becasue of the delay. At any airport, for any decent meal, you will pay a minimum of 25-30 dollars. All items are more expensive. While waiting in the gate to board, we were not offered with snacks, water, etc.. additionally, no announements or updates at all. 3) I had a very uncofortable situation with one of the filght attenders. Male, very tall, dark hair and dark skin. When distributing dinner, I found the way he approached me very disrespectul, ironic and dismissive. ZERO customer services and he is actually the face of TAP in these planes. Unaceptable. I have to look all the way up to him, he wouldn't make an effort to band a bit (of course, not completely) to at least try to hear what I was saying. He was requesting me to speak loud but he would not make a minimum effort to get close to me. His demeanor and attitude made me feel very upsted... abuse of power... to the pooint that I ended up not taking the meal. No manners at all. He should understand that after hours of waiting (check-in usual time plus the 2 hours delay) we were all very tired. Particularly at that timeof the day. Some of us where up for since earlyi in the moring and you could tell that most of the passengers were exhausted. The second we got into our seat, we all used our blankets and try to sleep. He was not empathetic or councious about that. I felt very uncomfortable. Both of the girls that were also in the back area of the plane, were also lacking manners and customer services. I don't know.. other times was much better."

Minusy: "The flight was cancelled few hours before departure. I called the customer service and they a flight to Tel Aviv a day after with 3 stops. It was imposible to accept, so I've cancelled and bouhgt another ticket from other airline and ask for refund. Three months later I still waiting for the money. Not recommend at all TAP."

Minusy: "My luggage did not make it to Florence from Lisbon. Very unhappy about that."

Plusy: "Prompt and courteous"
Minusy: "Not enough leg room, just not enough space al the way around to be comfortable."

Plusy: "Not too many people"
Minusy: "Was delayed. Too long waiting for luggages"

Minusy: "Flight was canceled which was out of their control. Unfortunately, what wasn’t out of their control was the amount of people handling the rebooking. One person was handling alternate flights. I was the 6th person in line (which was the time equivalent of an hour and half wait. I missed all possible reroutes due to flights closing. The customer service of tap airlines is severely lacking"

Minusy: "The flight was oversold and we got bumped off with 20 other passengers even though we had all booked months in advance. I’m still not in Marrakech, now a flight to New Jersey. I’m so sad and it’s my wedding anniversary."

Plusy: "The crew was very nice, we boarded on time and landed a bit early which was nice. We recieved little snack packs that had a sandwich and a granola bar or fruit snacks and a juice."
Minusy: "The seats were not very comfortable to sleep on for 6 hours as they didn't recline back too much but that is to be expected in 2nd class seats."

Minusy: "I did not like although my ticket had luggage allowance, TAP made my wife and I pay twice. Of course to pay needed endless and senseless wait and paying booth."

Plusy: "Anything I liked feels inconsequential."
Minusy: "My wife and I arrived to the airport for our honeymoon extremely excited. We had been saving for our trip to Italy for months, and we were finally going to get things started. Everything fell apart when we went to check in and we were told that my wife couldn’t use her ticket because she had changed her last name. We were told that there was no way that the name on the ticket could be changed because of TSA regulations. Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."

Minusy: "I was told at the check in that my bags are NOT paid for...when I booked the tickets on line there was no mention of any additional charges, or option to purchase baggage"

Plusy: "When boarding the fligh TP 209 on October 27 2017 I found that my seats that I paid for well in advance are taken by other pasengers an I am given a totally different and very bad seats. What did I paid for, after all. Why push people to buy seats and then do not provide. I did not get the service I paid for and will Be requesting my money back for the complete flight."
Minusy: "The stuard I tried to discuss the matter did not even try to help, instead he only smiled in return and suggested to file a complaint. That was totally unaccepltable."

Plusy: "The flight was uneventful."
Minusy: "The food was edible. The entertainment display was old. Not much leg room."

Plusy: "Best flight I have ever taken. Hands down"

Plusy: "Time in the air was fine, efficient once we arrived in Newark and bags arrived fairly quickly. Check-in counter in Lisbon were a little tricky to find (around the corner with no signs posted...) but it was efficient."
Minusy: "The boarding process was ridiculous. Went through security and then a second security screening at the gate when everything was gone through for a lot more than random folks. Then getting on a bus to board the flight instead of a jetway? I thought TAP was Portugal's national airline and had priority space at Lisbon..apparently not. No soap in the bathrooms on the plane! Ran out of diet soda (and we weren't at the back of the plane). On the way over, the flight attendants gave us conflicting instructions about our toddle sons's ability to sleep on the floor or on our laps. The entertainment system didn't work."

Plusy: "None"
Minusy: "Late 45 min only one attendan hence no services of any kind and no chance for real safety in case of emergency Same on TAP"

Plusy: "We are still alive."
Minusy: "Crew was rude, unhelpful, and the business class seats were essentially coach with the middle seat unoccupied. It was extremely uncomfortable and made worse by the crew being very impatient and not helpful when we had people in our seats, a 3-year-old we were trying to seat, and all of the overhead compartments closed so unclear where to place bags. Boarding began 20 min late and then we had to stand on the boarding ramp for another 20 min while the crew finished "cleaning" the aircraft."

Plusy: "Treat like a guest 2 great meals."
Minusy: "Nothing"

Plusy: "The crew were very friendly and relaxed even though there was a delay."

Minusy: "flight was delayed and sat on the run way for close to an hour."

Plusy: "To be reimburesed for a flight I ended up having to book with Amex travel for the same day"
Minusy: "An horrible policy that will steer m eaway from TAP airlines and kayak"
