They are much better overall for sure. The food and staff were excellent! The food quality is very good compared to the other airlines. The cabin crew are always passing around water and chocolates throughout the flight. They were friendly and helpful as well. The pilots were also very good. We had no rough turbulence and their landing skills were amazing."

Also, the person in front of me kept reclining her seat and it went back too far. I didn't want to do the same to the person behind me so it was quite uncomfortable."

I was fortunate to be able to move from my center seat to an aisle seat once the flight was in progress. As soon as I did, the air around me was cooler and made for more comfortable breathing. In the center seat, the air was still and close—very uncomfortable. Poor communication regarding passport control protocol at the departure gate: A temporary station was set up, labeled Passport Control, but no SWISS agent announced what was happening. I had just gone through a passport control line on a lower level so I didn't think I had to go through a similar process at the gate. Most people around me also didn't know whether they had to go through the process at the gate. Once agents had been questioned on the subject several times, they should have made a general announcement to inform everyone at the gate. They did not. The food on the plane was the usual poor quality fare for economy class—either highly processed or overcooked and much too salty. Ugh."

Minusy: "The seats decline fairly far back into the next seat. As a result, some of the passengers got agitated if they do not go with the flow and decline like dominoes. Both legs of the flight we had the people seated behind us kicking and shoving our seats. One gentleman was kicking my seat for a couple hours and made a scene on the outgoing flight. The stewardess addressed the gentleman and explained that I had to decline my seat because the seat in front of me was declined. My knees were jammed into the seat in front of me, so every time the gentleman kicked me, it not only hurt my back, but my knees. The couple behind us on the return flight jumped the line to get onto the flight, kept kicking our seats and then pretended they did not understand when we asked that they stop. I think the pilot should address the issue upfront so this toddler like behavior does not go on. I am not sure if it is common behavior, but not something I have experienced on an American carrier."

I went through TSA pre-check with Delta crew members. My connecting flight was delayed. We were waiting on the pilot..."
Minusy: "I wouldn't rate this flight on a five-star grid--I give it 0.0 stars. Delta's economy seats are so tiny that even a small person like myself finds it agonizing to ride in them for a moderate-length flight. We need aggressive regulation of our airlines to prevent the unconscionable and humiliating way they treat economy passengers. It's not safe, healthy or humane to ask human beings to sit for hours in tiny spaces with very little air (on top of everything else, the plane was mercilessly hot the whole time). Next time I will choose a European carrier--even the discount Euro carriers are better than any US airline."

An upgrade of $1200.00 Euro's is extreme Being packed like sardines for a 10 plus hour flight is not good. It is also unhealthy. Turkish Airlines should consider something other then the 777 for any international flying."

Never in my life have I seen such corruption first hand in a business that claims to be professional. I travel with them roughly twice a year so I'm not really a huge spender when it comes to their service, however I have suggested many to use their airlines. Never again will I make this mistake, and never again will I fly with them. I think I would rather spend the few extra hundred dollars than to have to experience that again. Turkish airlines you have lost my service and my respect."

She said she could not and would not sit next to a man who was sitting on the other side. If this is a problem from the start, there should be a way to choose a seat according to gender. The stewardess found me another place in front of this woman who kicked my seat the whole way. She even argued with the stewardess about putting her suitcase above her in the rack and security was almost called. There should be something included in the flight information program about being polite to other passengers."

Wine was poured on my back, water splashed on the person next to me, children were climbing over my head... etc. No parents or flight attendants could help the situation. Boarding was a mess. 10-15 passengers surrounding me sat anywhere they wanted creating a delay to push back because everyone just sat with their family and disregarded the chaos it created for those individual travelers wanting to sit in "THEIR PROPER SEAT". This was the worst / never ending flying experience I've ever had. I will never fly Turkish Airlines again."

Bardzo dobra obsługa, jedzenie i wygodne fotele. Pomiędzy fotelami na dole są gniazdka elektryczne a w oparciach z przodu złącza USB. Lepiej wziąć swoje słuchawki na małego jacka, bo te które rozdają mogą nie pasować dobrze do Twoich uszu;)

Wylot opóźniony o ponad godzinę bez podania przyczyn. Walizka nie doleciała. Odbiór,gdy dotarła tylko z lotniska, nie dostarczają do hotelu. KLM przesyłał mi informacje po holendersku zamiast po angielsku.

Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."
Minusy: "The seats were very close together. The trip from New York to Amsterdam seemed a lot more comfortable than the return flight. The food from NYC JFK was better than the food from Amsterdam. The movie selection on both flights was a little disappointing."

Plusy: "She was cheerful and genuine. I have dietary restrictions but was unable to preorder a meal. She went out of her way to find an available meal for me. I also saw her bring other passengers extra snacks and drinks."

Plusy: "Fairly nice flight. 7 hours AMS to JFK. They had ice cream cones for us mid flight and an after dinner cognac if you wished."
Minusy: "Not a big fan of paying for a few extra inches of leg room in a better seat after paying for a ticket."
Minusy: "Boarding was very confusing. There was an area where they were checking people's bags or something near the gate and you didn't know if you needed to stop at it or continue. They didn't collect garbage before landing. Not only did we have to take our bags off the plane, we had to carry our garbage (drink cups/food served) to the front of the plane to throw out."
Plusy: "The aircraft felt clean and quite spacious (decent legroom). Cabin crew was friendly and everything went as expected. Bonus points for the Beemster cheese sandwich (I was totally disappointed when they served the food, but more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese - I even bought some afterwards, from the Albert Heijn just outside the security area)."
Minusy: "Very odd queue separation at boarding. Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."
Plusy: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

I suppose those are cheaper, but I would think both Austrian and Lufthansa (they seemed to be using almost identical entertainment systems with almost identical offerings) would benefit from limiting their movie options much more towards movies with, say, above a 70% Rotten Tomatoes rating or above average box office sales. Even if they had fewer films, say 40 instead of 56, the ones they have would be more popular."

Minusy: "We were boarded and then told we had to sit on the plane for 45 minutes before take off. It's possible this way beyond the crew's control, but still would've been better to wait in the airport. Also, the movie selection was smallish compared to some other airlines."
Plusy: "When you travel with an infant it's already a difficult trip but it's really fraustrating when you find out that they didn't assign you to the seats with the baby bassanet, and when I went to the counter to fix the problem instead they change our window seats to an isle seats without even asking or notifying us with the changes, and they when I asked how come you don't automatically assign infant reservations to infant seats their excuse was what if there were more infants than available infant seats and they already gave out those seats with extended leg space to others who already had paid for it, and surprisingly there were multiple of infants on board none of them in those seats but rather the other passengers who paid for it, so basically they got paid extra and you will only suffer for almost 10 hrs so they can make extra profit. NEVER AGAIN AUSTRIAN AIRLINES!!!"

Minusy: "Austrian Air has really slipped in its food-product.. Lufthansa put out snacks (cookies etc; even small sandwiches to 'help yourself from' going from Atlanta to Frankfort which was nice). But not the case with Austrian The serving of it was fine. Restroom options are less than adequate too."
Minusy: "Too many customers use more than their fair share of the overhead space. A lot of passengers placed their luggage and their personal item above. This left those of use who use only our fair alottment searching for a place for what we fairly should be allowed to use."

I am 6' and 190lbs, knees were basically wedged against the seat in front of me. My girlfriend is 5'9" and she was even complaining about space. Entertainment - really limited movie selection."

Minusy: "Well, comfort is sometimes defined by aircraft model, but it looks like this one Boeing tried hard to put everything touch controlled in here with very very bad result. Entertainment not working, movies jumping back and forward on its own. Even chair had touch controls which worked every 10th try. Aaa. I forgot to mention it was business class ;("
