Minusy: "I asked when i got my ticket for a window seat and he said he gave me one but he did not in the two flights I got. I requested the crew for a window seat if possible since I had been feelin nauseated, it did not help that the guy sitting next to me had a really bad breat and smelled bad. They offered me a sit in the middle of the plane, that did not work well because I was feeling sick, being in between a big guy and a bigger lady was not going to help at all. There was an older crew member and she seemed to be kinda discussed with the trash even though she was using gloves. Food was ok but not the best. To top it off I told them that the headphones connection wasn’t working and they only brought me a pair of new headphones. I tried mine and they didn’t worked, so the whole 8 hrs of flight I was watching movies with sound only from on side. They didn’t even bother, I guess cuz I am economy? Not sure I did see some free chairs in the lanes between economy and first class but they didn’t even suggested that so I decided to suck it up and sit on my assigned chair. The bathrooms where dirty and smelled reaaally bad from the beginning that really was disgusting to be honest. I can let go many things but not that. I had to help the passenger sitting next to me cuz he didn’t know how to do anything and didn’t speak English, he was an older man, with signs I was able to show him how an airplane works. I never complain about flights but this one was tooo many little things. Oh and what about an international flight where I have to pay for a second bag! Really? I did it on my way to Europe and I thought I payed both and then I had to do it again. Whatever money I thought I could save was a lie because I ended up paying a lot more adding the bags and additional transportation for home based on the airports. I am not satisfied at all with the flight experience"

Minusy: "Because the flight was delayed, boarding seemed a bit chaotic. Everybody tried to board at the same time. The seat had technical issues - it would either recline or be upright. The crew had to spend quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to return from a flat bed to the upright position. Entertainment was re-booted 3-4 times during the flight to get it to work consistently."

But I couldn’t finish because it was too sweet and I didn’t like the juice. So I had to get up and bring the cup to the back. That wasn’t nice. Also they at but flexible about giving choices. Only one kind of sandwich they had but I think there was one other kid also."

We are living in 21 century and most transatlantic airlines have WiFi ! Where’s Austrian did not have it!"

Minusy: "The crew at the airport before boarding was a little impolite. As people were getting ready to board and waiting in the line, they were told to go back to customer service to register passports and get new boarding passes, without prior announcement. That could have been avoided if they informed us."
Minusy: "It was pretty chilly on the flight throughout the entire way. Please use more heat next time. Thank you!"
Plusy: "It would be nice to see AUA learning from other airlines on how to board a plain. To date it is chaotic, unorganized, messy and unnecessarily unfriendly. Interestingly enough it compares well to the non-existing system for lining up at Skilifts in Austria: Use force to squeeze everybody around you or cheat your way in sidewise. Not exactly my cup of tea."
Minusy: "Plane rescheduled, left 55 minutes later than anticipated. I was already preparing for having my luggage lost."
Plusy: "1st class should board last, it just makes mire sense for a lot of reasons. Also 8kg carry limit is rediculous and loosely enforced. We were clearly selected to check our bags. There were others with bags heavier and larger than ours that were permitted to stuff them in their overheads."
Plusy: "Made everything easy, stayed on time, clean."
Plusy: "Crew and boarding were fine. But nothing to crow about. Just not stressful."
Minusy: "That was the most uncomfortable flight I have had. It was hard fora short flight, though sitting so close to another passenger, side and front was stressful. Plus, my back was killing me by the end of the short flight- and the long flight from Europe to the US was hard. It was pretty much knocking elbows with the passenger next to me when eating. And mind you- no passenger in my row as any larger than the average person. The seat recline was fine and marginally helpful in relieving back strain- except it did put you in the lap of the passenger behind you. The passenger across the aisle from me shoved the seat in front of her and told the passenger in front of her he could NOT recline. The passenger next to her (I assume her husband) joined in with the shoving. I finally felt a need to intervene and calm them down as it began to escalate- and I did want the flight to continue. Note- while I think the passengers shoving the seat were a bit rude- the crowded nature of the seating with the recline was hard, so I understand. But the person in front had a reason (and a NEED given the discomfort) to lean his seat back. The seats were simply too uncomfortable to keep them upright. I helped them find a recline for both passengers that was reasonably okay. I also tried to get my recline somewhere between comfortable for me (impossible) and reasonable in space for the person behind me, This is an airline problem. And when people wonder about the rise in passenger rage... this cramming in is it. I had to use Austrian because of a last minute need to book a flight- given the inability to relax even a little and the residual back and leg pain ... thus my ability to immediately jump into work during a busy work and travel schedule means that I will definitely not take this airline again. If you are shorter than 5' 5 and weigh about 100 lbs- this might be okay. Otherwise, expect to be a lot of rats shoved in a cage."

Minusy: "За 9 с половиной часов мало давали воды. Первый раз предложили напитки и воду через 2 часа после вылета, и сразу же горячий обед, где тоже были чай/кофе. После этого около 5-6 часов ничего не предлагали, и почти за полтора часа до приземления в спешке предложили воду, напитки и второй горячий обед, в котором предлагалась паста с курицей или паста с сырным соусом и грибами. Я выбрала второе, на деле никакого сыра там не было, соус был как чистый майонез, только горячий, и грибов было два маленьких кусочка по сантиметру каждый. На вкус это были просто горячие макароны с майонезом. Да и зелень в салате уже была темная. Полтора месяца назад на рейсе Нью-Йорк - Москва еда была вкусная, да и до этого никогда претензий не было, в этот раз одни неприятные впечатления"

Minusy: "When we checked in for the return flight in CPH we learned that our return ticket was “light” ie it did not include luggage. we were not informed about this, we did not request a ‘light” return ticket, and...why would we when we checked luggage flying over? We’d like the usd100 refunded"

The fact that it was not at the gate when we arrived in Newark surprised even the SAS Gate agents. Had to go to baggage and collect it in oversize baggage. Will not fly SAS again until that policy has changed."

Minusy: "Not sure why they only have like 20 movies, most of which are not good. Delta has hundreds of movies to choose from. Old and new. When entertainment is included in the high price of these long haul trips, it helps to have a semi-decent selection."
Plusy: "The seats were very comfortable -- the plane wasn't very full, so there was room to spread out for some folks. As a vegetarian, the lunch meal was EXCELLENT, thank you. There was a second snack given just before landing that was basically roasted peppers on bread that was not good -- so you know, many vegetarians actually have sensitivity against peppers, so perhaps another vegetable or option would be better there. Crew was very affable and helpful."
Minusy: "See point before re: second snack. Our flight was delayed for two hours, presumably due to snow in Oslo. The boarding area was disorganized -- something I remember from flying through Norway a few years ago as well. I also didn't quite understand why I received priority boarding, as a United gold member on my outbound fight, but not on my return. So the inconsistency was a bit confusing/frustrating. But the flight overall was smooth, and the accommodations quite good."
Minusy: "The crew passed by me TWICE while serving food and I was not sleeping at that time. I had to go and ask for food myself. Also there was a delay about 40 minutes when taking off in CPH (CPH-EWR) because of a fuel-screen malfunction or smth. The pilot was very nice and kept us informed all the time. I still didn't make my connection flight due to the delay and SAS rebooked me which made my already long trip 8 hrs longer."

Minusy: "I tried to change the return date, as my work schedule changed. And I was told it would cost me $1300. So I had to buy a whole new ticket and ended up not using my ticket bought on Kayak at all. Shame."

Minusy: "The flight was delayed well over an hour. I was unable to check in the night before. I was finally able to check in online the afternoon of the flight, but no seats were left, so had a boarding pass with no seat assignment. Got to the gate and they sent me and about 25 other folks with no seat assignment to wait for a "colleague" who finally appeared after almost everyone else had boarded. I did get a seat, but I was one of the last to board. They ran out of salmon dinners, so the stewardess plopped a chicken dish in front of me--didn't eat since I am vegetarian. The stewardess did give me a free mini bottle of wine, which is normally free on Lufthansa. I am just not all that impressed with SAS. I will try to avoid them in the future."

Consequently this meant that every parent on the plane with two-year-olds decided that the best place to let them stretch their little legs was back by me. I work with small children so I understand that when they reach that age all they want to do is kick and punch, but I didn't want to end my vacation by having half a dozen two-year-olds punch my leg or try to crawl under my chair as they wandered nearby. I still have bruises."

I didn't care about paying, at that pout I would have paid $100 for some water. Seats are RIDICULOUSLY small and when the person in front of you puts their seat back it's impossible to do anything. Forgot having your tray table down."

I was flying with a family member and instead of sitting next to them I had to sit next to a stranger."

Minusy: "I was sitting next to a special needs man and the crew was extremely unhelpful towards him. He should not have been flying alone and they did not help him at all. When you handed out the customs form he told the stewardess he needed help and she ignored him. When I pressed the call button for him it took someone 35minutes to come back and then she told him she would help him after dinner. I pressed a call button the second time to help him find something and again it took over 30 minutes for someone to come back to us. If there was a real emergency this delay would have been a huge problem. The stewardess was extremely rude in general."
