The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."

Minusy: "The connecting flight from Atlanta to NY was rescheduled for an hour and fifteen minutes later, boarding for the delayed flight started late, closed doors were another 20 minutes late, spend another hour or so waiting for confirmations, during which no AC is on because of a malfunction on the plane with the electricity unit. Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

I paid $150 for an Uber at 4 pm. At 6:37, I got an email with news of a two hour delay. I would’ve appreciated an earlier notice. But much worse was the boarding experience. As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

Minusy: "The male flight attendant who handed out the complimentary drinks and snacks acted a bit strangely. I was very thirsty, and I asked him if I could keep the rest of the can of soda. He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

Plusy: "Flight was delayed by 2+ hours, Delta (running the flight for westjet) sent 1 email about the flight being delayed to 4:45 which was inconsistent with the gate signage and agent who said 3:45, flight ended up leaving at 5:45PM. No reasons were provided beyond the incoming flight from LGA hadn't come in. Why hadn't it come in? When could we expect to leave YUL? No answers."

Comfort - Window seats are too hot, middle aisle seats are too cold 3. Thankfully they do have halal offering. Now if they will even let me choose that I am allergic to seafood. Glad for the chicken. Minusy: "I paid $123 for the flight and than I was profiled by the attended and forced to pay $85 to check in my carry on as a baggage. My carry on fit in the display model, it was 1/2 inch showing because of the handle and I was forced to pay an extra $85! Almost as much as my flight costed. When I was boarding the plane I saw several people with carry on baggage that were wider and longer than mine. I will never fly thru British Airways or book thru Kayak.com again. When I get back to my country I will file every complaint I can thru google and social media. I never felt so disrespected and ripped off!"

There should be someone other than the driver on those shuttles monitoring people, since they obviously need a babysitter."

Plusy: "The treatment and luxury of being a business/first class passenger. I've been told I was (free) upgraded from economi class to business class. Actually there was no business class,- it was first class. Because after arriving and leaving the aircraft, I walked (like everyone) through the First class,-and it looked exactly like the "business class" I was sitting. I had all the luxury and service a first class passenger had,- from the champagne and all other amazing beverages to the high end luxury dining and of course the amazing service of the flight attendants. I would always choose BA again if Ihave the choice. Even if it's still "just" economy class. BA is just an airline that treats all their passengers as first class member. Thank you BA for this experience. Keep it up and please, never change."

Spoke with an American Airline luggage rep at Heathrow; he was rude and condescending - "You go get your luggage from Terminal 3 and bring it to Terminal 5. If you don't, your luggage is not going to with you!" Thankfully a more reasonable British Airways agent at T3 took care of this."

LaGuardia airport forced passengers to take their car services by walking outside and waiting in a parking garage with (12 degree Fahrenheit feels like -4 and 20 mph winds). Felt frostbite, couldn’t move fingers, and have a sinus headache. absolutely appalling this is NY and USA - yet we can’t have car services pick up pasengers outside the door of the airport, instead require to walk 7 minutes and stand in a freezing air tunnel airport garage. Changes my mind on flying to LAGUARDIA in the future"

Minusy: "They lost my luggage. They did not allow me to take her whit me in the plane because i did not fit a suitcase that always travel on top because is small suitcase terrible I will never travel again with amercan airlines"

Minusy: "Our last 6 flights have all been changed or delayed significantly. Then they loose our bags on a direct flight. Won’t fly America airlines again!"

Plusy: "Same size and capacity flight, my instrument was not an issue."
Minusy: "For the love of god American Airlines you can’t have one person threaten to arrest you for trying to carry a guitar onboard and then someone else on a flight two hours later personally assist you in packing the same guitar into an overhead."

Minusy: "Took off late from Minneapolis only to announce that there was something wrong with the plane, no explanation as to what but that we had to circle to burn off fuel before returning to Minneapolis. Switched to a flight to D.C. with a connection to get to LGA. As soon as we sat down on that flight an announcement was made that we wouldn't make our connecting flight. Got to D.C. and asked to switch to go into Westchester instead of LGA which we were denied. So changed to another connecting flight to LGA that didn't take off on time. Offered nothing for any of the inconveniences. Etc."

Plusy: "Immigration in Dallas was amazing, so quick and no fuss."
Minusy: "If you are running late you might struggle to get from terminal to terminal"

Minusy: "When I arrived at the gate, the flight was on time, but no aircraft was at the gate. The gate attendants left at the time we were supposed to Board, then the departure time changed on the board and no announcement was made. Another gate attendant told me that the aircraft was at DYT, but the reason for delay was crew rest. As the delays continued, 3 in all, we were told that the aircraft was at DYT but we were waiting on a crew to be flown in from Charlotte. Not sure how AA messed up their crew rest schedule on domestic regional jet carrier. Either way, a new gate attendant arrived to take over, and continued to tell us we were waiting on crew. Then the story changed to waiting on aircraft and crew. By the time the 3rd change in departure had been made, and we were still waiting on aircraft and cre, AA failed to continue to update the departure and arrival times. Once we boarded around 9:00pm the boarding time still showed 8:10pm. Then we sat on the runway awaiting departure for approx 40 minutes before taking off. Very poor communication And customer service."

Minusy: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."

Minusy: "The flight attendants were highly rude and i felt as if i was discriminated on. I was sitting in the back and the flight attendant who was suppose to assist us made us feel like i was a bother to her. First of all she just rudly dropped biscuits on my table didnt ask if i wanted and then I had to ask her for coffee, she didnt ask me if i wanted something to drink. Finally she brought my daughter and I some coffee. i ask for sugar and she said im very busy you have to wait....eventually she gave me one packet of sugar. I had to ask for another sugar for my daughter , so when i ask she gets upset and tells me i have to wait but there as a white who ask for assistance and she was very polite to her."

Minusy: "I am missing two items that I had in my checked bag and my clothes and belongings were all messy as if it had been gone through. I am very upset that these items were likely taken by whoever went through my bag."

Minusy: "Late late cancelled chaos in reassignment late late One agent threw up hands said I'm done and left with long line of passengers not yet reassigned Person behind me asked why didn't we take Delta?"

Minusy: "we waited an hour for the bags to arrive on the carousel. What's that about? Get it together and have the bags out in time. We're just sitting here waiting for them over an hour - there are no other arrivals in this terminal. What's going on?"

Minusy: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Plusy: "I was just happy to get a flight out early the next morning when my Thursday afternoon flight was cancelled."
Minusy: "I ended up in a middle seat due to having to be rescheduled, but it was still comfortable."

Minusy: "This elderly woman took long to put her baggage above so someone that was sitting a row behind my seat decided to take all of the overhead bin space, he definitely did not have a carry on size luggage and I feel that would have never happened if tsa would have noticed his carry on was too big"

Plusy: "Very efficient boarding, comfortable coach seats, good crew"
Minusy: "No food! except pretzels and sandwiches for purchase. I didn't purchase a sandwich but on the outbound flight, the two guys next to me did and were both vocal about their disappointment with what they received for $9. And they were strangers who didn't talk to each other the rest of the time, so I think they meant it. Also, entertainment: they had a movie on the pop-down screens, and 4 free movies to stream to your device using on-board Wifi, as well as 2 TV shows. So maybe I'm being harsh. But it was a transcontinental flight and they didn't have headrest screens loaded with movies. Is this only for international flights? The movies were bad, or at least not appealing to me ('Keanu' and 'Zoolander 2'). It was possible to pay for additional movies, but who wants to do that? It was sort of the EasyJet model, where you get good basic service but pay for everything additional that one gets for free on Delta. Maybe that was reflected in the price I paid for the ticket, but I was expecting that AA would be in the same league as United and Delta. One nice perk: free wifi for T-Mobile customers, including me."

Plusy: "The gate crew in Roanoke were professional and helpful. The next day's flight was on time and uneventful."
Minusy: "The flight attendant was unfriendly at boarding. He did not say or play any pre-flight safety announcements. We were told the flight might have to refuel in Richmond due to major weather delays in LGA. When we were landing they said they expected a refuel and a quick turnaround in Richmond. On the plane after landing, I learned via my phone's internet the flight was cancelled. They never announced it on the plane. At the final moment before we disembarked, the crew told us to be sure to take our belongings. When we landed, Flightaware showed delays of 45 minutes at LGA. AA never took responsibility for the problem though the gate crew mentioned they canceled the flight because the crew was going to be over their maximum hours. AA really couldn't plan to allow for up to an hour delay? I feel disrespected and even deceived. Although it was clear that flight attendant really needed to get off that plane. At the gate, we were told there were no available flights to NYC and were stranded overnight in Richmond. AA did offer a hotel pretending it was a courtesy since they claimed the problem was weather related and not theirs. We chose to stay with relatives and were told AA could only provide transportation from the airport which we did not need. We often have problems and cancellations on this route from when it was branded a US Air route to the present, but this was egregious."
