Not the airline's fault, but it was hard to enjoy the last flight for these reasons. Also, water poured ahead of time on trays on 2 occasions instead of seeing them pour it. I was sitting next to a coughing sick person so I wanted to cover my beverages and food as soon as possible. My sound on video didn't work all the time. It kept cutting off. Tried my husband's headphones, but didn't help."

If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Minusy: "Was not informed that checking in online is the only way to secure a seat. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Minusy: "Business class, Boeing 767-300 The seating configuration was 1/2/1 I would give these seats on a scale from 1 to 10 a 5, this was a very basic B/C seat, without a TV screen integrated to the seat in front of you, instead the flight crew hand out individual passenger entertainment systems, that are a pain to deal with and get in the way of everything your trying to do (ie eat, work, sleep.) I’m only 5’9 and I found when the seat was in the bed mode, the seat slopped down very slightly, and your feet would end up underneath the side table to the row of seats in front of you. As i wear a size 13 shoe, i found that space to be rather cramped especially for my feet."

The crew was not organized, so it took about 10-15 minutes to get off after we arrived in the gate (late) because they could not get people sit down and fill out the forms. Chaotic. I plan NOT to fly American again. Ever."

Very uncomfortable seats (and we were in business class). The flight was uneventful and the service was great. I would change my answers above to 1 star for comfort; zero stars for entertainment. The movies were old and it was very hard to hear the shows with the ear buds they provided."

I was in the airport until 4:30 in the morning because there weren't enough air cansas representatives. In addition, they were working really slowly because they kept getting up to chat with eachother."

Minusy: "There was no wi-fi!!!"
Plusy: "Can't really complain; a typical, good flying experience with Air Canada. They're the only ones that go direct between YYZ and SFO, so not much choice there, but their staff are always friendly and courteous, and usually the plane provides wifi (for a price), which makes the hours whiz by."
Minusy: "There was a slight delay in boarding at SFO, but that was more due to the lateness of a different plane/airline, so not really Air Canada's fault."
Minusy: "One of the worst overall flight experiences. Flight attendants ignored assistance light, no entertainment ( only option was paying for an ipad), and blankets had to be paid for!!. Flight was so booked that we were late taking off. Poor flight attendants were obviously understaffed. Will avoid this airline when possible"
Plusy: "Everything was great...but there was a medical issue on board and it would be good to hear that the guy who got 'ill' is ok and that it was nothing serious that anyone else could have contracted from him. Paramedics boarded the plane when we landed, I assume it's nothing serious but would be nice to hear from air Canada to confirm. Other than this unfortunate event ... everything was great starting with the staff at the ticket counter."

Minusy: "The connection process at YYZ airport. You need to clear security twice in order to connect. Risk of missing flights got connection because the walk to terminal is long and security checkpoint is very inefficient and sllw"
Plusy: "We were delayed a little over an hour (on the field) before take-off because of information from Toronto that fog was delaying the landing time of the planes. The crew handled this excellently by making sure that we were made comfortable and the pilot gave us several updates as he got the information about take-off for Toronto. On the flight to New York on September 28th, I experienced my first landing where not even a tiny bump was felt when the plane touched the ground."
Plusy: "The flight was exactly as scheduled."
Minusy: "Poor room service, no TV for 10 h long flight, meals were small and not tasty, wine or beer has to be bought. Parents with little babies were sitting in all passengers area. I was hungry and tired after this flight."
Minusy: "They boarded early while our connecting flight was late. They told us they could not allow us in even though we arrived 1 hour before. Had to purchase all new tickets."
Minusy: "10+ hour international flight and there were no TV's and no free alcohol. There was an option to rent an ipad."
Minusy: "If you are going to make people download things in order to watch movies or tv on a nine hour flight. You shouldn't charge people that don't have the devices to use one that you have on board. Also, making your entertainment app only available to apple customers and not android seems very unfair."

Minusy: "Food wasn't that good. No screen on back of seat to see progress of flight."

Minusy: "Strong stink coming from bathroom. We were seated toward he back (maybe 2-3 rows from the restroom and it was strong smelling at times."
Plusy: "1. Pilot kept plane informed which is great especially when there is potential turbulence."
Minusy: "1. No entertainment on the flight. Not even opportunity to see where the plane is in flight and when we will arrive. No USB charger on the flight. Very outdate plane. 2. The plane was very dirty - trash in between the seat 4. The food was the worst I ever tried on the plane 5. I was very surprised at the very disappointing service. I must say, with all the travel I do, apart from 1 young lade, the flight attendants acted like they loathed being there. It is so disappointing especially b/c I am Canadian so it is a bit embarrassing that Air Canada seems to have such terrible service. 6. The flight attendants were out of a lot of things, I heard them mention several beverages they were out of throughout the flight. I also heard them say that there will be no hot beverages while seatbelt sign is on (which it was a lot). I guess that is reasonable, however, it is the first time I have encountered that on the place. Instead they directed to passengers to come up to the back of the plane to get a hot beverage when the seatbelt sign was off. I did a few times - 1st time they said they were out of cups and to stop by later. But 2nd time had the cups. Did these cups get magically delivered midair or perhaps maybe they just needed to bring cups from the storage on the place and could have given me an option to wait while they retrieve them. 2nd time when I stopped by to try to get a hot beverage, a lady with black hair just gave me an empty cup. The whole experience with this flight was confusing - some attendants seemed not to understand fully what passengers were asking."
Plusy: "There was enough legroom, as compared to airlines like Cathy Pacific."
Minusy: "All the flight attendants seemed a bit frazzled; I felt guilty for asking for wine with lunch, and you had to either use your own device or pay $10 to access the in-flight entertainment. Even then, I could only watch TV shows on my laptop --you need an app to see movies. Very strange and felt like being in a domestic flight."
Minusy: "Taxied to runway, but had to go back to terminal due to one seat not staying in upright position. Flight was about an hour late then."
Minusy: "Customer service"
Plusy: "The cabin crew was friendly and very attentive, since they realized the passengers couldn't get any peace or comfort due to the screaming child problem."
Minusy: "Nine hour flight from Warsaw to Toronto, 7 hours of on and off ear-piercing screaming two year old child. Even though it was a daytime flight, most passengers wanted to sleep due to early morning wake up and previous connections. Even for somebody who wished to stay awake, there was nothing pleasurable about this situation. The airlines are going to have to figure out how to deal with this ever-increasing problem on long-distance flights, like a closed door quiet space for the parent and child. It was like being trapped in a torture chamber. If an adult had created that much commotion and misery on a flight, they would have been forcefully subdued and probably arrested. A few minutes of a crying baby can be excused, but this was non-stop disturbance by an unruly child and complacent parent(s)."
Plusy: "nothing particularly spectacular. The entertainment on the place is much better than most (since most don't have it) for such short flights."
Minusy: "The place was delayed for over an hour for a 'maintenance issue' - what I dislike is lack of information being shared from the plane to people at the gate. Also when we are delayed for the airlines fault - customers should be given something - anything - a small voucher, or even a drink ect., this is not a weather issue. I think airlines have too much power making most terrible at customer service - air Canada is one of the worst ones."

Minusy: "The flight was delayed for hours but not technically cancelled, which the ground crew blamed upon the flight crew and vice versa. The failure to cancel caused us to be unable to rebook, and subsequent avoidable delays arising from Air Canada's ineptitude caused us to be two,days late for arrival. The problem was solvable with some simple rebooking, but the ground,crew failed to assist, then the flight crew, when we finally left five hours late, was Impersonable, unhelpful, uninformed, and utterly unprepared. It was a terrible, second rate, poor quality experience and I would not recommend Air Canada to anyone. Your airline needs serious training in Professionalism and responsiveness."

The beautiful young lady flight attendant from Oklahoma was exceptionally nice to everyone sitting around me.
There should be more United agents for check-in to Hawaii. The information on the website was not clear to satisfy Hawaii requirements. This lack of information slowed the check out in line down considerably.
Well, United surely has not much improved. I flew business one way, return was premium plus which was not too bad. Actually I had more foot space in 20L on the 777. on Business class fliegst service was poor. Not even a welcome drink. Stewardesses seemed somewhat worried about covid(understandable). But they hardly came through isles. The United lounge is just miserable. They really need to take a look at Lufthansa or more to Turkish Air. I wanted to change date of return flight and it would have cost $1200 to rebook???? Wtf. My return flight to Sfo from Fra was only 25% full. Customer service is another thing when calling the service center. 5-6 hrs wait!!?? Unbelievable. Why should I book United again?? I don’t know. Besides being the only non stop from Sfo to Fra besides Lufthansa there is no reason.

The tv screens where 20 years old n the size of an iPhone plus. The flight just sucked and United has taken a huge dive in my opinion of them."

Plusy: "United Airlines Flight 202 Left on time. It was a Boeing 777 so it had a lot of room."
Minusy: "The flight attendants seemed focused only on the small First Class section and rushed through everything in the Economy Class. They rushed through the "Food Service" and didn't want to answer questions about what is on their menu. The menu was removed from the magazines in our row. Fortunately, we brought our own snacks. The Economy CLass cabin had a terrible odor. It really smelled. Maybe they should clean the plane once in a while. United Airlines ALWAYS has issues with entertainment. You MUST download their App to your cell phone. Then, they allow you to connect to their entertainment system. If you don't, you cannot access WiFi without paying $26 for the flight ... the WiFi access is inconsistent and limiting and doesn't always work so the download doesn't always complete. This was a nine hour flight from Hell. I think I prefer Frontier Airlines. Although the airlines make you pay for everything now, at least you expect some attention and food options and a plane that doesn't smell. It was nauseating. Don't even ask me about the "Miles" that they keep screwing up ... RAY HANANIA"

I live in Maui so I'm used to the whole "I'm local and you're not" entitled attitude some locals have, but it was completely uncalled for and unprofessional to do this to visitors. She literally asked the passengers where they were from and then launched into how she was local and it was her way or the highway. She was also really incompetent at the job overall. She gave me attitude and anyone that required her to do her job."
Plusy: "The agent in San Francisco was awesome and even went out of her way to bump me to a better seat. Leaving Portland was easy, crew were super organized!"
Minusy: "No entertainment systems were working at all. Leaving San Francisco to kahului we had so many unruly young adults that were just out if control. They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading."

When I asked for a pen she said they don't hand out pens and to start asking neighbors, which didn't have any either., however when she came back around to pick the forms up and some people didn't have them filled out she reprimanded everyone and kept saying you had 5 hours to fill these out. Her communication skills were not what I expected and her lectures were not necessary."

Plusy: "I've taken a number of airlines, but none as bad as United. I get bad weather, I wouldn't want to go up in a plane in a thunderstorm regardless of the circumstances....but I spent almost a day getting to my destination that should of only taken9 hours tops. Delay upon delay, arriving right when my next flight was leaving. Very rude staff, I saw an attendant yell at a mom and daughter like she was their mom. Non-apologetic to anyone. Their goal is to shove you in the plane and shove you out. Are they safe airline? Yes, they will get you to where you need to be...but not before they make your life hell. I don't normally do reviews on anything, but United still has me frustrated even a week later. I almost forgot, they did give $20 to eat. Do you know how expensive airport food is?"
Plusy: "There's really nothing good to say, because it never happened."
Minusy: "Same problems I had with the Phoenix to San Francisco leg. The flight never happened. It was cancelled and I was stuck in Phoenix another night, missing my kids. No compensation was offered. When I asked, they said, "oh, we don't do that." Yet another reason to never fly United ever again. Alaska doesn't have to be asked for compensation, they just compensate you, period."

Minusy: "The food was not really edible on this flight. The seats are also quite uncomfortable- I'm not a particularly large person, and yet they were uncomfortably stiff."
Plusy: "Boarding was very smooth, and flight was very timely (landed early)."
Minusy: "Male flight attendant was extremely rude. I was asleep when the food was being served and politely asked for a tray of food once I woke up. Fight attendant that I asked was at the time collecting trash and snapped back saying that he had to finish what he was doing first. After about 10 min the lady attendant walked by so I simply mentioned that I was waiting for my food in case he had forgotten or was busy. She asked if I had mentioned it to the man attendant and I told her that I had and that I was simply waiting. She proceeded to go to him (not sure what she told him), but he later came by and angrily handed me my tray of food and annoyingly explained that he had to finish handing the trash In order to then handle my food. I told him that I completely understood, and he AGAIN snapped back saying "oh really? Because I heard you were complaining!" And walked away. The rest of the flight he proceeded to ignore me. I had been nothing but polite to him. The lady across the isle was looking his way and the man next to me made a comment to me that I had done nothing wrong and mentioned he he noticed how rude the attendant was to me. That even if I HAD complained, he was in no place to confront a customer about it. Regardless, I hadn't even complained one bit."
Minusy: "Flight left 13 hours behind schedule. No hotel room provided."

Minusy: "they lost our luggage on the way back,Didn't make it to Portland. But it was brought to our house at 7:45. I think for 1600.00 for tickets you should provide pretzels. That would be great. Thanks"
