We sat in the airport with no Swiss staff anywhere in site. Every check in desk was empty. Once boarded, My tv on my chair was broken. I asked 7 different times to have it reset. Never happened and no one ever came to check on me. The food was awful. We would like someone at Swiss to contact us with some type of refund for our troubles. It looked to me like Swiss Air knew we were running close as the flight rarely (if ever) leaves on time. It was stressful for us and for the 30+ others who were still in line in immigration when the flight time passed. It turned out to not be a problem but the published times are unrealistic. Seats were tight and comfort in cattle class is NON Existent sleep on an 8 hour flight was not even possible."

After the passengers arrived, we were delayed again because of weather. And once we arrived at Newark, we had to wait for over half an hour to get to the gate for some mysterious reason."

Plusy: "My luggage was lost for two days on the flight from Tampa to Zurich and/or Zurich to Naples. It was delivered by the end of the second day. But before that I found out I could not choose seats online for any of the Swiss Air Flights to and from Europe. It "had to be done" at the airport. Why? Never explained. I called Travis International, the agency booking the flights. Totally useless conversation resulted with no explanation."
Minusy: "The Flights were longer than other airlines taking similar routes. The routing was absurd. To go from Naples to Munich and then turn around and go to Zurich before the 10 hour trip to Tampa made no sense. Lousy routing and customer service. Eidelswiss apparently is a lower-end branch of Swiss Air. My airfare was as much as and more than my other friends who flew Delta, for instance. Flights on other airlines did not take 10 hours from Zurich to Tampa. I lost the ticket receipts and could not claim anything for the items I bought to try get through the two full days without luggage, even though the airlines has a record of the claim. Outrageous!!"

We are now at least 24 hours without our luggage (we still don't have it) and cannot take advantage of our very expensive vacation. I must say, we will stop using Lufthansa and all partner airlines. This is completely unacceptable. I have received no communication at all from Lufthansa to explain why our bags were not loaded onto the plane, even though we saw them out the window, on the cart, next to the plane, before door closure. I am wondering if someone at Lufthansa decided it would be fun to ruin our vacation?"
Plusy: "Flights were cancelled that day due to a storm, but Lufthansa were able to fly an empty aircraft from Rome to fly us from London to Frankfurt. Despite the circumstances, Lufthansa were able to still offer catering. Thank you for your cimmitment."
Minusy: "Lufthansa in general could invest a little more in the food they serve. Lufthansa's domestic and inter European flights are never a culinary highlight. :-("
Plusy: "Gate and flight crew were polite and attentive. As I could not check in online, I asked for an aisle seat at gate and crew did all they could to provide one. The flight was easy. Everyone in the flight crew offered their assistance before I asked and they did with a smile. Seat was comfortable and I didn't ask for upgrade. I paid for extra room on outbound flight only to sit in the most cramped seat ever. And on this flight I didn't bother paying for extra room and was pleasantly surprised I wasn't sardined. Very nice Lufthansa! The pilot made minimal interruptions and said only important stuff. No unnecessary pleasantries. Thank you!"

Minusy: "The temperature on the flight was uncomfortanly warm. the Airbus planes do not have individual air jets at each seat which is a desirable feature. Therefore, the environment felt stuffy. It would also have been nice to have refills on coffe and hot tea, however, no one checked back with us after round one. The bathroom floor should also have been cleaned more frequently."

In the counters at the airport, we asked if it was possible a solution as I suffer with big anxiety and needed to be together my partner during the flight, and they answered us in an extremely rude way. Luckily we could change it with other passangers inside the plane by ourselves. Not a fault of Lufthansa but something that made the flight HORRIBLE was an extremelly smelly and very heavy guy seated next to me that used half of my seat and made me be really uncomfortable."

The flight attendants Made you feel like you couldnt ask for anything extra! (Water, juice). The meal wasn't heated all the way, breakfast snack was cold. The seats seemed extra cramped no leg room. You were literally laying on the passenger next to you! They also didnt allow people with children, babies to do advanced boarding it took up so much time! I payed for extra leg room on my return flight which was cancelled by the way due to weather then they gave upgrades to others for free..! While the return flight was delayed I was kept in airport for 8hrs before they cancelled it also unpleasant! That section of the airport had no food, all United Airlines offered us while waiting was sodas! Really? not again will i fly international with UA!"
Plusy: "I was almost to miss my flight because of the huge line and the nasty security guy. Thank God, they have the x- ray system to look at you. Still, I was ordered to take my sweater off. When voluntarily I took of my boots, the guy didn't agree...I understand that Europe was thru a terrorist attack but they should use common sense and not try to humiliate people. Personally, I wouldn't go to Europe if not necessary."
Minusy: "I have never had a such an awful flight, it all started from the registration where i was told to pay for the overload of baggage eventhough my husbands ticket had not been cancelled and he was not with me, so I lost the pay for his ticket and extra money. It seems to be unfair and unreasonable taking extra money for the baggage in this situation. I have experienced the worst flight ever paying for the seat with extra space where it got very cold. The five blankets were offered with a pair of sox and I used them but it didn't help. The air condition was blowing very hard and eventually I have cought a cold. I strongly advise all potential customers of Lufthansa to stay away from seat number 27 on that plane."

Minusy: "Boarding process was not good. Was informed that plane may not take off due to technical issues. Boarding was chaotic. Flight eventually was cleared but another 15-20 minutes was spent on the runway de-icing. Barely made my connection with no assurance from crew that connecting flight would wait. Considering this was the first flight of the day I would have expected things to have gone smoother. No entertainment but I was not expecting any (there should be a N/A option in the survey)."
Minusy: "In July 2015 I booked flight from DTW to PMI to visit family over Xmas holiday. At that time there was no warning or indication of an issue regarding our minor child's passport. On our departure date (12/26) my family was denied boarding because our minor child's passport did not show an expiration date 3 months beyond our departure date. Lufthansa never emailed, called, or otherwise contacted us prior to the departure indicating there was a problem. Had I known about this issue I could have resolved it. While at the airport, Lufthansa made no offer for help beyond suggesting we call Delta or KLH. Further, Lufthansa is not willing to offer even a simple travel voucher for a future flight. We had to forfeit the entire flight package and lost thousands of dollars. I highly advise any future customer to make sure you check your passport expiration date if traveling or connecting to any EU country. I would NEVER recommend Lufthansa to anyone."

Minusy: "The flight got canceled a few hours before departure without providing any reason. I had a connection in FRA on to SEA so that was ruined. Since the weather was good my assumption is Lufthansa simply didn't sell enough tickets for this flight thus decided to cancel ruining the plans of the passengers who bought their tickets. Lufthansa representative which I called was totally indifferent, offered no make-up miles or anything, simply informing me they can rebook me for the next day - if they have spots. I had to point out there may be flights from other cities still on that would allow me to make a connection."

Plusy: "I loved the boarding process. Everything was very organized! I was lucky to sit by myself next to the window, so i had plenty of space to stretch. The flight was right on schedule, so i didnt have to worry about making it to the next flight. Food was good. We were offered the water through the whole trip which is nice, because i always feel super dehydrated on the plane."
Minusy: "I wasn't very satisfied with the flight attendants. I don't know if its just me getting used to american customer service, or me actually working at the customer service, but it's definetely not the greatest level of service. Girls were giving me an attitude and "smartie" ( in a rude way) responds which kinda made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I had the same experience with Lufthansa before. And once with russian airlines. Maybe its some kinda tendency to get erogant at this job, but please, don't get me wrong, its not that kinda job where you should look at people from above"

Food was good, but as I dozed off during courses, they decided I was finished and took all my food and didn't offer anything when I awoke shortly after. (this will go in the 'didn't like' section as well. Bed was comfortable and comfy blanket and pillow"
Minusy: "Crew was not friendly at all. Amenities kit was burlap sac with nothing worth keeping or using -- even the eye covers. Business class bathrooms had nothing to offer in the areas of hand/face creams. All there was were hand wipes and air freshener. (OMG! SERIOUSLY!?); a big difference from their partners (i.e. Swiss and Lufthansa). Crew was not present -- not only were they very unfriendly they were no where to be found. TV/video didn't work properly -- kept fast forwarding or changing channels on its own. The crew of course, was not concerned."

Minusy: "The male attendants, who were on my side, were not very attentive. I had a small child with me and they didn't seem to realize the challenges associated with what I was doing. Also, my child's screen would not work most of the time, even though I told the attendants."

Minusy: "5 hour delay. One staff member said there would be a delay, the second said there was no delay and after a couple hours the delay was confirmed. I was told the flight was full without the attendant even checking, flight was actually not even close to full. Nobody wanted to help and do their job, they just want to send you on your way."
Minusy: "Not a lot of legroom and they should have provided an additional snack during the flight. Did not like that in order to select a seat prior to the check in period I had to pay for the selection."
Minusy: "Flight was very delayed leaving Sofia which made connecting flights for many people a rush and very stressful. People were pulled to the front of the plane and told to rush to catch their flights. My bag didn't make my connecting flight but Austrian delivered it 2 days later."

Minusy: "I wasn't able to check in online therefor i got terrible seat. The guy next to me was very tall and big and he was stuck on me due to not enough space. I was extremly uncomfortable because he was rude when i asked him to let me out. I asked if i can change seats but the plane was full. I didn't get any sleep either. Extremly tiring and turbulent 10 hour flight."

Entertainment not working, movies jumping back and forward on its own. Even chair had touch controls which worked every 10th try. Aaa. I forgot to mention it was business class ;("

The person on the phone told me terminal 5 which is British Airlways, and not terminal 2. We almost missed the flight. It was terrible to go throught this. We were not happy about these two experiences."

We were traveling with 5 kids including an infant and we were not allowed to board until we found the receipt. I thought surely they would have record that I had paid, but I guess not. We were the last to board and all very stressed out. The staff seemed not to care the least in our troubles."

Minusy: "Flight was delayed 4 hours. was not able to make connecting flight in Amsterdam. No flights from Amsterdam to final destination in the US. Lost one full day. Had to stay overnight. What a cluster mess. Will never fly with KLM airlines and would not recommend. Will spend a little extra money and fly on other airlines......very poor, disorganized, and horrendous flight experience. Buyer beware."
Minusy: "I wasn't sitting next to my partner and we sat on the Tarmac for 45 minutes after the flight was already delayed by 30 minutes."
Plusy: "Flight was on time, crew professional, food and drinks good and kept coming. I learnt Dutch on the in-flight entertainment system. I was in a good mood talking to another passenger about his new luggage system. This mood was kept and not taken away on the flight."

Plusy: "I flew with multiple international airlines this summer and KLM was by far the best. The crew of KLM were exceptionally attentive, polite, and helpful. The meals were by far the most enjoyable of my airplane travel meals; and I learned that KLM does not charge for it's drinks on international flights, unlike most other international airlines that I traveled with this summer. In a sentence, flying with KLM was a very pleasant experience and I will recommend this airlines to others."
Minusy: "If I were going to list any negatives, I would say that the little travel pillow that was given to the passengers was so thin that it was practically useless, but I brought my own with me, so I was none the less comfortable."

Minusy: "This time I was turned away as a Sky Priority Member, and told there are too many categories at boarding and told my Silver Status (after this flight was bumped to Gold). Not sure what has changed in the last 2 weeks."
