I'm quite athletic and not obese but large framed (ex- football player), I could not sit squarely in the seat as my hips were severely pinched. Misery :("

We had to take a bus from the plane to the terminal, go through immigration with very long lines, take a tram to our departure terminal and then run to our gate which was at the end of a very long hallway. Luckily they held the plane but it was very stressful and exhausting getting to our plane."

Plusy: "The plane we were on between Zurich and Copenhagen was comfortable and modern for such a short trip. This was a stark contrast to the old SAS airplane we flew in the opposite direction as a Swiss flight. The staff on the plane were friendly and helpful."
Minusy: "We missed our original flight due to connection difficulties. We tried to hold this flight (the return flight that we had paid for in our round trip ticket) but when we arrived at the airport we were informed that they had sold our seats. We had to pay $250 USD to fly standby (and "reissue" the tickets that we had already paid for) on a flight that was oversold by at least 6, and we heard other passengers also being told their tickets were sold. Their customer service for the ticket change and the phone calls made before hand where they promised to hold our tickets, were so disappointing, it was like dealing with any US based airline. We won't be flying with them again."

Minusy: "Our flight was delayed 2.5 hours, during which we had boarded but were told we could not leave our seats even for the bathroom. We were offered a cup of water once during this delay which is inexcusable. (We were also woken up to serve dinner at 1am so that was incredibly inconvenient for an overnight flight) On top of that, I, as well as many others missed our connecting flight. Personally I missed my connection by 20 minutes, which seems a reasonable amount of time to hold a connecting flight with so many people from our flight on that next one. In missing by only 20 minutes, we have lost an entire day of our trip and are spending 9! hours in the airport today. There was no communication between flights clearly. Despite there being an earlier flight we could’ve been placed on after missing our connection - we did not get booked on this flight. I asked why and they just randomly placed people on random flights with no regard for when we showed at the desk. In this scenario, a first come first serve would have alleviated an absolutely awful experience. I will never fly Swiss Air again and will urge people I know to not fly this airline. The experience was extremely frustrating, the best response from an employee was “that’s all I can do for you” and I wish it on no one."

Minusy: "I landed at Zurich airport at 6am with an 11 hour wait and tried to get onto an earlier us bound flight. The ground crew were awful and rude!. The dint make any effort to smile, look at me in the face or ask how I was doing!. Instead she took one look at my ticket and said “ sorry you bought through an agent, I can’t help you”. When I tried to ask if in future it is advisable to book through Swiss airlines directly, the customer service agent looked at me and said “ that’s your problem”- then she turned to her friend and kept talking! Honestly! . The airport terminal E is grey, drab and boring. No TV and only 2 hour of WiFi. I was told I had to pay to use one of their lounges just to get a recliner chair to lay my head for 11 hours. I felt like I was in a holding cell- and the flight was delayed by an hour, had a gate change that they dint tell us till less than 1hour- boy was I glad to leave Zurich!. If that is Swiss hospitality, they have a long way to go. Save your money and use another airline. You will be much happier- trust me."

Bording stuart said that my ticket is ECO LIGHT class and I don't have the right to any baggage. Worst thing of all was that the reason of my trip to Paris was my sister's graduation and half of the baggage was my formal wear and other half were presents for my sister! Your lack of transparency ruined one in lifetime special event- MY SISTER'S GRADUATION. I am very glad that you asked me for my opinion because I am using my free time to demand full refund, even tough the damage is much bigger than the cost of the ticket and it's irreplaceable."

We are now at least 24 hours without our luggage (we still don't have it) and cannot take advantage of our very expensive vacation. I must say, we will stop using Lufthansa and all partner airlines. This is completely unacceptable. I have received no communication at all from Lufthansa to explain why our bags were not loaded onto the plane, even though we saw them out the window, on the cart, next to the plane, before door closure. I am wondering if someone at Lufthansa decided it would be fun to ruin our vacation?"

Plusy: "Flights were cancelled that day due to a storm, but Lufthansa were able to fly an empty aircraft from Rome to fly us from London to Frankfurt. Despite the circumstances, Lufthansa were able to still offer catering. Thank you for your cimmitment."
Minusy: "Lufthansa in general could invest a little more in the food they serve. Lufthansa's domestic and inter European flights are never a culinary highlight. :-("

Plusy: "Gate and flight crew were polite and attentive. As I could not check in online, I asked for an aisle seat at gate and crew did all they could to provide one. The flight was easy. Everyone in the flight crew offered their assistance before I asked and they did with a smile. Seat was comfortable and I didn't ask for upgrade. I paid for extra room on outbound flight only to sit in the most cramped seat ever. And on this flight I didn't bother paying for extra room and was pleasantly surprised I wasn't sardined. Very nice Lufthansa! The pilot made minimal interruptions and said only important stuff. No unnecessary pleasantries. Thank you!"

I then had to climb over it to be able to get to the washroom at 86 that was not the easiest and again it should not happen regardless. Minusy: "The temperature on the flight was uncomfortanly warm. the Airbus planes do not have individual air jets at each seat which is a desirable feature. Therefore, the environment felt stuffy. It would also have been nice to have refills on coffe and hot tea, however, no one checked back with us after round one. The bathroom floor should also have been cleaned more frequently."

Minusy: "Problems with the check-in online that made it impossible and cause that me and my partner had to seated not together. In the counters at the airport, we asked if it was possible a solution as I suffer with big anxiety and needed to be together my partner during the flight, and they answered us in an extremely rude way. Luckily we could change it with other passangers inside the plane by ourselves. Not a fault of Lufthansa but something that made the flight HORRIBLE was an extremelly smelly and very heavy guy seated next to me that used half of my seat and made me be really uncomfortable."

The flight attendants Made you feel like you couldnt ask for anything extra! (Water, juice). The meal wasn't heated all the way, breakfast snack was cold. The seats seemed extra cramped no leg room. You were literally laying on the passenger next to you! They also didnt allow people with children, babies to do advanced boarding it took up so much time! I payed for extra leg room on my return flight which was cancelled by the way due to weather then they gave upgrades to others for free..! While the return flight was delayed I was kept in airport for 8hrs before they cancelled it also unpleasant! That section of the airport had no food, all United Airlines offered us while waiting was sodas! Really? not again will i fly international with UA!"

Plusy: "I was almost to miss my flight because of the huge line and the nasty security guy. Thank God, they have the x- ray system to look at you. Still, I was ordered to take my sweater off. When voluntarily I took of my boots, the guy didn't agree...I understand that Europe was thru a terrorist attack but they should use common sense and not try to humiliate people. Personally, I wouldn't go to Europe if not necessary."

Minusy: "I have never had a such an awful flight, it all started from the registration where i was told to pay for the overload of baggage eventhough my husbands ticket had not been cancelled and he was not with me, so I lost the pay for his ticket and extra money. It seems to be unfair and unreasonable taking extra money for the baggage in this situation. I have experienced the worst flight ever paying for the seat with extra space where it got very cold. The five blankets were offered with a pair of sox and I used them but it didn't help. The air condition was blowing very hard and eventually I have cought a cold. I strongly advise all potential customers of Lufthansa to stay away from seat number 27 on that plane."

Minusy: "Boarding process was not good. Was informed that plane may not take off due to technical issues. Boarding was chaotic. Flight eventually was cleared but another 15-20 minutes was spent on the runway de-icing. Barely made my connection with no assurance from crew that connecting flight would wait. Considering this was the first flight of the day I would have expected things to have gone smoother. No entertainment but I was not expecting any (there should be a N/A option in the survey)."

Minusy: "In July 2015 I booked flight from DTW to PMI to visit family over Xmas holiday. At that time there was no warning or indication of an issue regarding our minor child's passport. On our departure date (12/26) my family was denied boarding because our minor child's passport did not show an expiration date 3 months beyond our departure date. Lufthansa never emailed, called, or otherwise contacted us prior to the departure indicating there was a problem. Had I known about this issue I could have resolved it. While at the airport, Lufthansa made no offer for help beyond suggesting we call Delta or KLH. Further, Lufthansa is not willing to offer even a simple travel voucher for a future flight. We had to forfeit the entire flight package and lost thousands of dollars. I highly advise any future customer to make sure you check your passport expiration date if traveling or connecting to any EU country. I would NEVER recommend Lufthansa to anyone."

Minusy: "The flight got canceled a few hours before departure without providing any reason. I had a connection in FRA on to SEA so that was ruined. Since the weather was good my assumption is Lufthansa simply didn't sell enough tickets for this flight thus decided to cancel ruining the plans of the passengers who bought their tickets. Lufthansa representative which I called was totally indifferent, offered no make-up miles or anything, simply informing me they can rebook me for the next day - if they have spots. I had to point out there may be flights from other cities still on that would allow me to make a connection."

For next time I know that I have to bring my own food.. so bad! While servis time we ordered whisky with cola and after one hour we went to ask for one more cause we wanted and CA told us they dont serve anymore whisky only wine or beer. Besides this things when I came to plane my sit and table tray was dirty so we had to put blanket over... for the first time I write bad feedback but I have to cause it was terrible.."

Plusy: "Nothing, we never got to go on our flight to Vienna. The only good thing is the manager, Servando, found us an alternative route after some delay. Even then, we had to haggle and really fight for fair treatment for a mistake that was 100% the airline's fault."
Minusy: "Our seats were involuntarily given away by the airport staff. We were never notified until we were scanning our tickets to board in. At that time, we had already checked in and received our boarding passes, as well as checking in 3 bags while we were traveling with a large group. There was no way we wanted to volunteer our seats, especially since we had a transfer flight to catch. We clearly stated we did NOT want to volunteer our seats at the ticket counter. No staff notified us until we were about to get on the plane to board. The flight supervisor was very rude and unprofessional, offering us no alternative solutions. I was really disappointed with such a grievous mistake by the airline, and I would not recommend flying Austrian Airlines unless it was absolutely the only airline available. They need to fix their processes for authorizing when they volunteer a passenger's seat. This caused our group a lot of stress and almost became a logistical nightmare."

We were late from Vienna but Lufthansa held the plane and extra 30 minutes in Frankfurt so that the baggage could make it from the feeder flights and it still didn't. We were promissed out luggage on Sunday evening. No one called and as of Monday morning no news."

My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Actually, they could have waited for us for say 10 mins and we would have made it. But they didn't and we had to stay a night in Amsterdam, arriving in Rome the next morning."

Minusy: "No WIFI on long flights (which likely have business travelers traveling in the middle of a business day) is a very big No-No in 2019. Especially on a brand new planes there is no excuse, the pre ordering of food on the flight is a fine idea just ensure the all interfaces to book the flight makes this VERY clear that’s required."

Minusy: "The Norwegian staff were completely incompetent. It took me 1.5 hours just to check in. Almost missed the flight."

Plusy: "What I liked was the cleaness of the premium cabin on the Dreamliner was a plus. Seat 5A was roomy enough for a 5'4" female. The food that was included with my fare was good but I felt like a giant because the portions were packaged in these tiny little boxes and the plastic utensils where so small that it was hard to wrap your fingers around them to eat your food. The crew was attentive and the pilot spoke clearly when giving announcements which was a plus for me because I don't hear very well inside an airplane."
Minusy: "What I didn't like was that when you requested Business Class when booking your flight and you had the option to choose Business Class and your boarding pass and receipt states, "Business Class" on it, you think you are GETTING Business Class. However, that wasn't the case. The seats in the Premium Cabin are NOT Business Class. The seats do not lay completely flat. They only reclined back to to about half way and when the passenger in front of you have their seat reclined back, you have to pull on their head rest in order to get out of your seat. But the seats did have a foot rest which reclined with your seat. So, it could have been worse. In my defense, I did not know that this airline markets itself as a premium low fare airline. Had I known, I either would have not booked the ticket and went to BA or would have less expectations."

One barely functional male yelled at me to get behind the yellow line that I was standing on. We stood in the jetway 15 minutes while these inefficient, arrogant people continued to laugh and talk on their mobile phones."

When we got back to the airport we had unnecessary stress of finding our luggage in some unclaimed baggage office. We almost missed the flight. Norwegian staff needs to be knowledgeable about how baggage is handled."

Minusy: "Without updating passengers they never even said they were putting us on a shuttle bus to an unmarked white plane that was not a Norwegian Dreamliner as presented but some charter plane from Portugal. We were locked in the buses for an hour without and word or update looking at the Airbus 330. The plane was a very old version and the “premium”seats were hardly bigger than economy and we never were offered pillows, blankets, drinks until we begged for them nor any explanation. Etc. I am done, done, done with Norwegian airlines."

The only people allowed to have a drink were those that preordered food. It was quite humiliating to not even be looked at unless I was someone that preordered food. I just don't understand that at all. Even on a 30 min flight to Akron I get a water or soda or coffee. This was an 8 hour flight!"

Also, flight attendants are not as courteous as they could be. One in particular was incredibly rude. I has missed tea service, only noticing the coffee service coming by. When I politely asked a flight attendant that I never saw the tea come by and would like somex he said I had to order it because service was over. I tried to explain that I didn't see it come by and he just shrugged his shoulders several times, gave me attitude, and walked away. Surprisingot, he brought me tea later on the flight."

Minusy: "I tried to change my flight dates to no avail. I even called Oslo to explain to them That I had brain surgery on December 2nd, 2015 but they did not care. This is a cheap airline with no customer assistance at all. I will never try to use this airline in the future."

Minusy: "How can you sale the ticket with only 30 min to connected flight?? Of course I missed my connected flight! I spend around an hour to figure out about get new flight. And my new flight was only after three hours and it again had connected flight. So I depart from New York at 11pm and landed in Barcelona at 10pm next day. Lost half of my day and ruine my plans. So disappointed!"

Minusy: "Seated by bathroom. Selecting a seat when booking was not an option so I was stuck with this seat which meant there was a lot of commotion constantly. Crew at Gatwick boarding gate hassled me about my carry on when it did in fact conform to the airline's standards (I had checked the policy beforehand and already weighed it at check in desk). When preordering a meal with Norwegian the options were very limited, it seems you'd be better off waiting to purchase items from the snack bar."
