If the person in front of you inclined his chair for better comfort, then there is quite challenging for you trying to get out of your seat for washroom etc. The crew services were terrible. Between meals time, there were completely no services such as offering water/drink etc.-did not see a single soul of them, especially on a 9 hours long haul flight! The food was ok. The only thing I like was the chocolate handed out at the end of the journey."

Also I dislike the "nickel and diming" philosophy used by most airlines these days making people pay an extra $29 to reserve a specific seat. Give me a price from the beginning with a seat assignment."

And in the process of the turmoil and stress of rushing, I have witnessed airport people being extremely rude with passengers who were not at fault that their original flight was late and were merely trying to make it on time. Correspondingly, every single time I flew with Swiss, I never knew whether or not I will get my luggages. Simply put, your organization is poor and your flights are unfailingly late!!"

Minusy: "Not exactly the flight but the attendant white lady in Atlanta at the gate needs to sharpen her customer service skills, a bit obvious on who she prefers to deal with, as a foreigner and over 25 years of experience in dealing with the public, I felt the indifference. I frequently fly and my choice of airline is delta, this by far has been the only dissappointnent. Please do make sure this gets to the person in charge."

Picture process took 4 times. Nobody tells you that you have to transfer your own bags from Delta to West Jet. I even asked in a Toronto and they said no and nobody in Atlanta told me to collect my bags. So bags never made it until the next AM. The West Jet rep was very good and located the bags and they were delivered as promised. You should provide 3 page detailed instructions on how to handle Toronto. I am a seasoned traveler by the way. I’ve never seen anything worse. I could go on and on."

I checked Lufthansa app and found that only flight that was shown was flight Toronto-Thunder Bay. After 3 hours of phoning I found that flight from Munich to Toronto wasn’t available for date that was given us in email. Only option was day earlier or later. Left us to take day earlier and we could not changed last flight( Toronto- Thunder Bay). We had to come on Aug 22. and stay in Toronto for 27 hours and than take a flight to Thunder Bay on Aug 23. We lost a day of our vacation, had to stay at hotel. Not good experience at all. We still don’t know whom to complain about that."

Minusy: "We did not request special meals because in the past there has always been an option without cheese. For both legs of the trip, everything had cheese. They tasted great, but left my husband eating only bread. At the first meal the crew just shrugged their shoulders. Second meal they brought him a snack from business class, but it had cream cheese on the sandwich. Drinks were only served during the meals on an 8 hour flight. When crew came back through at the first meal, they only had two bottles of wine in hand offering top offs (no cart, just physically carrying the bottles). We do not drink alcohol. During the second meal I did not even see them offering the top offs. All other airlines have at least come through a couple of times offering water or soda. Announcements were only audible half the time. Customs forms were confusing for people passing through Canada. This might have been explained over the intercom, but again, it was hard to hear."

It was a large selection of movies with very explicit sexual content. I didn't travel with kids but I was thinking what I would've done if my kids were seated next to a person like I did who was watching this kind of movies.."

Plusy: "It was better with the earache, plane felt cleaner, the crew was more friendly and attentive. Didn't feel as dark as the first flight."
Minusy: "The Star Alliance flights aren't that cheap. Comparable price between Lufthansa, Swiss, SAS and Austrian. Lufthansa gives you food, and has friendly service. SAS gives you coffee and tea. On Austrian and Swiss I didn't get anything. For same price range and same alliance, that is a point I keep in mind. Now I mainly try to get onto Lufthansa flights (or Turkish Airlines which is my favorite). Even on Aegean, I got better food, and the magazine was better, plus there were some monitors to track the flight. Austrian feels cheaper than the others. That is the main point I didn't like."

Minusy: "The seats are very uncomfortable on Austrian air. The only way I would fly them again would be if I had extra money for the exit rows with more leg room. Food isn't great, but no airline food is really great. Boarding was significantly delayed from what it said on the boarding pass, with no updates. But we arrived on time. Getting luggage after flight at Dulles took a really long time, but I think that is more of an airport issue as getting my luggage from another Austrian airlines flight to another airport was a breeze."

Plusy: "The Swiss Air staff provided water and nice sandwiches for us while we stood in line for hours and put us up in a very nice hotel for the night."
Minusy: "My first flight with Austrain Airlines was 2 hours late in leaving, partly because they mixed our baggage up and had to have each of us leave the airplane to identify our baggage before getting back on again. Because of this, I missed my connecting flight in Zurich. Apparently hundreds of other passengers were in a similar situation, because I spent the next 6.5 hours standing in line to getting my new itinerary and hotel vouchers."

Minusy: "Since the plane clearly came from another destination, the cleaning crew at Vienna International Airport could have taken some more time to vacuum the floor and wipe down the surfaces in the passenger cabin of the aircraft."

There was not an exchange with her that was friendly and agreeable. When serving drinks a second time, she asked me what would I like to drink and I answered: What do you have? I had not asked the first time drinks were served since I knew I wanted orange juice. he second time, and not wanted to drink the same, I asked: what do you have? and her answer was: "Same as before". I had to let her know I had not asked before and then she proceeded to tell me the different drinks and finally added: My colleague will take care of you. She did not want to serve me. The first incident went I tried to use the bathroom in the back of the plane, she would tell people: "don"t use that one, I need that bathroom for......." ( not sure for what but her tone was so rude,that people walked to the other bathroom embarrassed). All I can say is that everything else was great, including the friendliness of all other crew, but that one ruined the experience. A third time I got up to walk to the bathroom and the seatbelt sign was on, but so it had been for a long time. She prompted me to go back to my seat. All others seem to do their job without been rude, Not sure why this one couldn't. Job stress? Not the passenger's problem. Besides that and the poor movie choices, everything else was great. I think the flight was delayed but to that point everything was going so smooth, I didn't even notice. I will fly Austrian again, and would love to visit Vienna. Please advise how to add the miles of my trip to my account. I booked in Kayak, left to Ohio from Miami running from hurricane Irma, my return from Ohio to Miami was cancelled and I had to embark on that long plan10 day trip without even returning home to Miami to pack. I totally forgot about putting the miles on my account on either ticket counter."

Plusy: "My flight from Vienna to Warsaw was fine."

Minusy: "Very confusing boarding procedures. In Vienna they would check you at the gate to make sure you are in but keep you standing for a long time. I am not sure what happened but food was barely edible: breakfast eggs were like rubber and Lunch was served with a tiny sandwich. For a 10 hour flight it was not even sufficient"

Minusy: "Both flights were delayed. Food selection was poor."

Minusy: "The flight from Budapest to Vienna was delayed so we missed our connection to Tel Aviv. The behavior of the ground staff who were supposed to assist us was outrageous. They behaved like a low cost company with one answer to any request, and this is the word "NO". It does not seem logical that we ever go with Austrian again. We do deserve a compensation for the delay and the behavior."

Minusy: "As I was flying from London Heathrow back to Vienna, I had a carry-on that was allowed on my flight with Austrian from Vienna to London. My carry-on weighed 8 kg, like is required by the rules. While boarding my flight, the woman at the counter told me my bag had to be checked because there were too many carry-ons on the flight. I asked her that I keep my bag because I had medication in there, and she didn't listen to me at all. She just kept repeating that i have to check my bag, and then took my bag from me and gave it to the baggage crew there. I didn't want to make a huge scene because the flight is only 2 hours and I hoped i Could deal without my medication during that time, but I found it incredibly, incredibly rude and awful to not listen to a passenger."

Minusy: "On the arrival at Toronto, there was no one at the gate to roll out the gangway bridge. So we waited on the plane 10 minutes. We were flying on to LAX on Air Canada. It took 1 3/4 hours for our luggage to clear the US Customs pre check. Unsatisfactory."

Minusy: "It was pretty chilly on the flight throughout the entire way. Please use more heat next time. Thank you!"

Minusy: "Boarding process was incredibly slow, which delayed our flight."

Minusy: "At 11h30 of 14/9 we (HOANG MINH CHAU and NGUYEN SI THANH) were standing at the ticket counter in Vienna and we could not check in due to no payment yet for the ticket and so the reservation has been cancelled. Due to this reason we had have to buy new tickets at the airport ticketing counter. So please sort out your problem with the airline and get back to me. From my bank the payment has been done yet to you. We had have double pay for one trip."

Minusy: "After dinners the crew did not remove trays fora long time preventing movement. When the finally did there was a rush for the toilets. Having some toilets out of order compounded the problem Food is ok at best. The morning muffin was terrible A poor comparison to our flight last year on Turkish air"

Minusy: "They could not issue boarding pass for the all the segments of the travel. The agent had to talk to someone in order to even issue the boarding pass and even though the bags were checked in all the way to Pittsburgh boarding passes were not issued. I cannot blame the agent because Luftansa had issued the ticket for this Austrian Airline flight."

Plusy: "More leg room than we had on Swiss Air from Chicago to Vienna via Zurich. In flight food was excellent. Staff was friendly."

I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""
