Plusy: "The crew did a great job of handling our 2-hour delay in starting from Zurich - we were kept updated on what was happening, the aircraft was at a comfortable temperature (not too hot, not too cold), and we were given water during the wait. Also, during the flight, the crew kept coming through with more water, which was VERY NICE! Plus, the moist towels prior to landing. It makes a big difference in comfort levels for such a long flight."

Great service doesn't make up for the noted disappointments. Spending a $2-3 more on food would have helped, but placing us in a long flight in such a small airbus plane just won't do!"

Minusy: "All airlines are doing this—we're seated closer and closer together, but the seats are the same. They recline just as much, and the screens pivot as little. And when you have screens that darken at an angle, when the person in front of you leans back, not only is their head in your lap, but you can't see your screen at all. I hate that it's on passengers to decide that it's rude to lean back, when it's the function of the chair. Besides, barely anyone considers it rude. So I was uncomfortable and cramped (and yes, I asked the kid in front of me if she would please move her chair up just a little bit as a favor, but she said she leaned back because the guy in front of her leaned back). Nice kid. I'm not a big guy. Finally home with a horrible neck cramp and a sore tailbone."

In addition, departure from JFK was delayed as well, either we missed the IFR window or got stuck behind some traffic and I fell asleep on the plane only to wake up what seemed an hour later just getting ready to hit V1. No upgrade."

If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

The layout of the airport is very tough to get from point A to point B. Walking a long distance with multiple security checks. On top of that, the plane was almost an hour late boarding and then taking off. It was a mass of people with no way to cue for an orderly boarding process. No instructions or info given to allow us to go get something to eat or drink prior to boarding."

Anyway, having informed a crew member about my DVT condition, I asked if I could move in the empty area - mind you, that was after plane door was closed and boarding had been completed. She refused only to give after takeoff the area to a lady with a little dog in her purse. This flight was operated by United. Our household will from now on avoid any flight that's operated by United."
