In general I would just move on, but we heard the customer service agent reference that they over booked the two flights to Rome. I guess we were the u lucky customers x two flights because we didn’t get a standby seat in the next flight then the prior agent gave us positive hope that we would get on. Lesson- make sure you have at least 3 hours between connecting flights."

I called Iberia and after staying on hold for 40 min they told me to use the same confirmation number of Iberia flight on British airlines website. After a long day and a long and expensive uber ride I made it to sfo to see the flight has been delayed... never ever ever going to buy an international flight from Iberia, and very hesitant about kayak redirecting sales."

Minusy: "When I missed my flight, the airline would not offer assistance because I booked through an online vendor (webjet through kayak) and when I called webjet they failed to help me rebook, made me buy a new flight, then when I called looking for the flight information, they managed to cancel the flight and then claimed I had requested this when I had done no such thing. On top of this they only offer next calendar day booking so even though they are fully responsible for botching up the second flight I booked. I have talked to 10 individuals from different agencies. Everyone passes blame and responsibility off on someone else. On top of everything else, noone but the American Airlines representatives showed any empathy or concern for my being stranded for the night. Based on this experience, I will do everything in my power to dissuade people from using Kayak, webjet, amadeus and British Airways."

ALL the airlines can do better."

It took one call to British Airlines to get me rebooked. Something american was taking hours. I still won’t make it on time but at least I’ll make it. American then misplaced my luggage and it took two hours to retrieve it. Turns out it was sitting behind the counter the whole time the kept telling me it would be on the baggage flame area."

Minusy: "Oh man, I have so many things I need to say. I tried giving AA a chance, but compared to when I flew on WestJest two months prior for almost the exact same trip (I flew to San Francisco versus San Jose that time), WestJet was by far more superior in terms of customer service, boarding organization, and friendliness. First of all, what bugged me profusely was the lack of seat selection and the crazy pricing for certain seats. On WestJet, the emergency exit seats were available without any additional cost, yet AA was charging $66 USD to sit there. Furthermore, seats closer to Business class also carried a charge of $25 (or something like that) - ONLY because you get to board sooner. I would understand if there was extra legroom involved, but really, it's just a matter of sitting and getting off before anyone else. If anything, those seats should be given to passengers who have tight connecting flights and need to get off asap. even in those cases, you shouldn't be charging someone almost $30 just so they can make it to their next flight that YOUR company arranged within such a short time frame. But the most annoying thing about my trip with AA was the fact that I had to take out all of my belongings from my carry-on and carry them in my arms because there was no room left in the overhead compartments. Excuse me?? How is there not enough room? So I had to walk with my laptop, my iPad, my Beats headphones, my laptop and iPad charger, amongst other things, in my hands to the aircraft. Thank goodness I found a plastic bag, because otherwise I probably would have lost something expensive on that plane. Furthermore, as I walked to my seat, there was most definitely places that I could have stowed my carry-on luggage in the overhead compartments. You shouldn't let people put things like purses and bags of food in the overhead, when those can be stowed underneath the seats in front."

I got online to select our meal option for our return trip, and the options are out of control. We have a lacto-ovo-vegetarian option, whatever that is"

This trip turned out to be a disaster."

I have been flighting TAP for many years now and it used to be one of my favorite airlines. No longer is the case. Over the years there has been a decline on service."

Well less than 24 hrs before we were scheduled to fly out, the exact same day, they cancel our flight! After a lot of phone calls and wait times we were booked onto TAP AIR PORTUGAL. Easy check in, my carry on was great, entertainment was on point, food was good (first European trip), crew was nice, plane was huge; just a good experience overall. I will definitely fly with them again."

So when we had to pay 80 euros for each bag it started off our trip with TAP a lot disappointed. We still have to fly back and we can go online and pay before hand and get it for 45 euros each. Increased out ticket prices by 205 euros. Will make me take a second thought before I book with TAP again."

Minusy: "We flew thru about an hour straight of moderate turbulence but i'm guessing that was unavoidable. Checkin was a bit weird, they had a gate change and never announced it. Fortunately, i checked the board. about 6 of us had been at the other gate for a long while."

Plusy: "The customer service phone number was impossible to get through on in order to take to someone within 24 hours of my flight in order to make my Special Meals request as I have Celiac's Disease. I was unable to make this selection at booking as when you book through a third party like Expedia, which I did, you cannot access the same internal tools required to make that selection. You can ONLY then call once you have checked in before the flight in order to let the airline know of your Special Meal needs. This is not only a terrible policy as it undercuts those who ARE ultimately still buying tickets to their airline, and that the airline is CHOOSING to sell. It provided me with an extremely subpar experience of the airline but left up to the last minute with doubts about my ability to board a 13 he international flight without the reassurance that I would have ANY meals aboard and no other options should that be the case. Right before my flight departed I was reassured that the information we had requested Expedia relay to the airline internally the day before, who we called when we couldn't get through to the airline, WAS able to convey this Special Meal request and I was going to have food on the flight, so I then did not purchase a bunch of snacks in the airport to have as options. The first meal in, no Special Meal was provided and I had to explain then entire situation all over again. They assured me they would figure it out and get me taken care of. However, no one who assisted me conveyed this to anyone else on the flight and every time food was dispersed, same situation. This was stressful and exhausting and the options provided me were modified to be gluten free, such as an entire plate of fruit for my snack, instead of the protein heavy snack everyone else received, because there truly wasn't extra for that type of dietary restriction. This was stressful and I was very hungry on the flight. One of the attendants got me a few chunks of cheese from first class, but otherwise, it wasn't great. I would advise travelers with Special Meal requests NOT to fly with AirCanada."

Even the boards showed the 8:55 pmflight had already departed.... At 5pm. Finally made it to customer service and they gave us the gate number and confirmed the flight didn't leave until 8:55. Then the flight got delayed 20 minutes. No problem, but after boarding we sat in the cramped and poorly cushioned seats for 45 minutes before takeoff because the plane needed servicing. Air jets would not turn off and my husband, who had a window seat, was freezing due to cold air constantly blowing around his feet. When we got off the plane he could barely feel his feet."

Zero entertainment options, save for BYOD which didn't even work for me - never was able to watch more than the first 30 seconds of anything, provided it would work at all. Also the film selection, had it worked, was wretched. Food was bland even by airline standards. Flight was delayed. I'm used to sleeping on these flights, even flying economy, but these seats were even more cramped than I'm used to. Perhaps all this would be forgivable had my flights been cheap, but no - it was about the most expensive trans-Atlantic flight I've had in recent memory."

Minusy: "The lady who checked us in caused a major problem with seating. The person I was traveling with was blind and I was her guide. We specifically asked to be seated together and the lady told me we were. I even confirmed with her and she told me yes again. When we boarded we found out our seats were 17 rows apart. I found out that she did this for the connecting flight as well (not as far apart but still not together) this caused a great deal of stress as I couldn't help her when I needed to."

Perhaps if updates were given as to why the delay was taking place, it would have settled some of the passengers."

Was not notified, air canada said it was a non refundable ticket and I missed my meeting. Terrible service and they were not flexible at all. Only bought this new ticket because my existing ticket was not able to get me to my meeting on time, so it was a complete waste of money"

Minusy: "We were late arriving in Toronto and our connecting flight was scheduled to depart 20-25 mins from landing and we still needed to get off the plane. Even though the flight staff did request that those individuals who did not have a tight connection to allow those with a tight connection to pass through more quickly - most passengers didn't cooperate. A better process needs to be put in place to ensure those whom have connections are able to meet them."
