On the SFO-BUD flight, the connection is through Istanbul, but the flight time is the same 15 hours, as on the SFO-ZRH-BUD route. In addition, two checked bags are free in coach."

Minusy: "We paid extra to have a bassinet as we were traveling with a baby. The entire row (a family) behind us was very sick, coughing, sneezing, and blowing their noses the whole flight. As we were concerned for our daughters health, we asked the flight attendants if we could lmove to the bulkhead that was open at the front of the plane. They wanted to charge us $500 EACH to move, even though the seats were open. One of the flight attendants even commented how terrible it was for our baby to have a row of sick people behind us, yet they refused to move us. Fast forward, our daughter ended up getting sick during our trip to Florence, and now my husband is sick. As such, we’ve had to miss out on things during our vacation. It would not have been difficult to move us to empty seats in the front of the plane, so we could use the bassinet we paid for. This small gesture would have made our flight and our trip much better."

In "biz class" you still had to rub elbows with your neighbor, something other airlines with newer planes have sorted out, but allowing extra space between seats.... but overall, for a short flight (not much longer than an average subway commute in NYC), it really was not a huge deal...."

Plusy: "I liked everything about my experience on four Iberia flights. The boarding was fair by groups and they didn't allow people cutting the lines. The planes were new. The food served was very good and had a great variety of tastes to please different cultures. The entertainment system on my seat was awesome!! Customizable music playlist that was All genres of music. The navigational pages were fun and interesting and the movies were current."

Minusy: "The movies did not play on my screen. I tried to use the screen on the seat next to me and the movies quit in the middle. It was very annoying."

Minusy: "Couldn't check in online 24 hours ahead. When called Finnair on the phone, they couldn't check us in, told us we have to check in at counter, by then all good seats were taken and I couldn't sit next to my husband, and this is our honeymoon trip. It's a full flight and All upgrades were booked by then so couldn't even upgrade to business class. Requested a gluten free meal, no crew can figure out it that meal was on board (not in system nor on paper list), so at the end no food for me. I have been dying BA for last five years and this had to be the worst BA flight I have taken, absolute chaos at the check in counter and no organization. One BA counter agent Alexa tried to help but it is just too late. I expected more from BA."

Minusy: "We were unable to find a row of seats to more comfortably facilitate traveling with a baby and a toddler as seats that should have had a cot or extra seating didn't have the cot and were sold out for an additional fee before we had the chance to. Discussing this with the staff at check0in and at the gate, made no difference as they had no knowledge of what was available on that particular flight. Every time I fly with American I'm reminded of why I don't like the airline and I will do my best to avoid them moving forward regardless of competitive ticket pricing."

Minusy: "The seats are very small--and I am a small woman--so the flight felt cramped. The food was just ordinary airline food--little taste. Coffee served essentially black--no offer of milk or cream. Take it or leave it-- Crew helpful if you could flag someone down. Most irritating: could not check in online for some unexplained reason and required to arrive two hours early. BA does no subscribe to TSA so spent time in a line unnecessarily. AND, then the crew arrived over an hour late so the flight left at least an hour late. The crew explained that their downtown bus did not arrive and they could not arrange one. Given the close proximity to the airport, this should have been a 10 minute cab ride."

Minusy: "Could be a little friendlier. Lights on the whole time during a red eye was pretty annoying. Don't know if this was on purpose or a malfunction. Entertainment system was hard to see and a little outdated."

Minusy: "Unable to pre select seats because the arrangement makes you neither a full BA or Finnair customer. Food was just about edible and that was the better non vegetable option. The plane was old and the in in seat screens were old too, with poor resolution (no touch screen to illustrate the aging technology). Although the entertainment selection was relatively current the aging connection in the arm rest, coupled with cheap ear buds made for a poor listening experience."

Plusy: "Very relaxing, enjoyable flight. Entertainment was great with many different options to choose from (music, tv, movie, games). The plane was not full and I had the entire row to myself, making the flight that much more comfortable. Awesome crew that was attentive and friendly. Probably one of the best flights I've ever been on. Thanks!"

Minusy: "Boarding was a bit chaotic. Everyone was all bunched up and you could not get through when your rows were called. Also, when they "boarded by rows" the called rows 23-50+ all at once so that people were all bunched up in the isles of the plane. It really did not help"

Plusy: "The meal for dinner was nice with wine, good old fashioned meal service. The plane was clean. Blankets and pillows provided. Staff seemed efficient. The flight was operated by Iberian so it was all in Spanish. Okay for us as we speak Spanish."
Minusy: "The seats had so little padding. We are not very tall and the seats are just too close together. The poor fellow behind me could not make a move without bashing the back of my seat. Not his fault. If you are over 5'5" tall you are in trouble. It is too bad that flying has become so uncomfortable in coach."

Minusy: "My bag was left in London during my connection and arrived in Denver the next day. From what I understand once my bag arrived it was handed off to a third party delivery company. I am not sure how to complain to this company, maybe British Airways has a way to do it since they hired them. My bag must have arrived around 3:30pm in Denver. I got a text at 5pm that my bag was being delivered, which is fine so far. I did not hear before 10pm from the delivery guy about an estimated delivery time of my luggage, at that point he said he would show up around midnight. He eventually arrived at 3am. I don't know how the delivery company plans their deliveries but this is rather unacceptable. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this happens to me. Do they really always expect people to stay up until 3am the day after an international flight to get their luggage that was mis-handled by the airline.... I'd rather just drive to the airport myself the next day to get my suitcase myself."

I fly with all big airlines like American, Delta, Lufthansa, LOT, etc"

One of the flight attendants dropped an empty soda can on the floor which was dropped on my toes (I had taken my shoes off) and picked it up with no acknowledgement or apology, even after I screamed out of pain. I was speechless that I didn't even object. In another incident, when asked for food option, I chose chicken vs pasta. When opened my hot plate after 2-3 minutes, I found out I had tofu in front of me. I called the flight attendant and they came over, acknowledged I had the wrong food just to inform me they were out of chicken at that point. If you make a mistake, please offer something in return to make the experience somewhat better."

They found my baggage on the 3th plane on the last minut. Terrible. And I had go for it by myself because LOT didnt want to send to me the courier. The fly was also 1 hour late"

Minusy: "it was an overnight flight so people wanted to sleep. took the crew till like forever to finally turn off or dim the lights..but soon after, people opened their window and sun was coming it. not sure what these idiots tried to see outside as there was nothing. sun made it hard to sleep because it was way too bright. other airlines make sure that windows are closed during overnight flights to ensure everybody will have a good sleep instead of getting woken up by the sunlight in their eyes. wish british airways would do the same. everything else was good, excellent service too"

Plusy: "The lounge at San Diego was good. Plane was punctual and only took 30 minutes from touching down to get to the long stay car park."
Minusy: "Plane was very old. Entertainment system slow and live maps would not work. Its a pain having people stepping over you to get out of their seat in business class. Toilet was pretty disgusting at the end of the trip after one passenger was sick."

Plusy: "I did not enjoy at all that some of the middle rows (3 seats) were either empty or had only one seat occupied, while the front sections were occupied with 3 passengers!!! Dont they have computer programs that should sort that out?"

Minusy: "No air flow, very stuffy and cramped. When people recline seats it makes it even worse but everyone reclines on a 10 hour red eye."

I found that the crew would hit into my shoulder without saying "excuse me" ... Other people passed by me and they didn't seem to have a passing without banging into me."

Minusy: "The plane was dirty. There was still trash from the previous flight everywhere. The onboard Stuart’s were not up to par. There was no entertainment and the WiFi was horrible."

Minusy: "During covid-19 they are not even attempting at providing a modicum of social distancing. Every seat in both of my flights was completely filled, meaning that we were squished up next to everyone despite any efforts to stay 6ft away from each other in the airports. Many passengers were wearing their masks incorrectly (not covering their nose, TAKING OFF THE MASK TO SNEEZE) and were not being asked to wear their mask properly by staff. I felt completely unsafe and won't be flying American again until there is a vaccine for covid."

Minusy: "Don’t get the egg salad breakfast sandwich. It’s got more turkey and cheese than egg salad."

Plusy: "Everything but the smiling, smile more !!"

Minusy: "Damaged one baggage, and delayed arrival of other baggage for 2 days that forced me to cancel a following trip."

Plusy: "I believe American forgot what customer service are. Their staff located at the airport is plain ignorant and could care less about helping you. They answered my questions, as if they were doing me a favor. Flight crew was professional, but cold. No one greeted us, as we boarded the plane."
Minusy: "American should remember that people who board their planes are actually their customers!"

Minusy: "Connecting flight was delayed over 3 hours for system failure on original plane, after boarding. Gate was changed 4 times after that."

Minusy: "Seat pitch was too tight, especially when the person in front of me pushed their seat back."

Minusy: "Internet was down and no entertainment on a transcontinental flight. That’s absurd. Overhead luggage packing was not regulated so made intentionally difficult. Assignment of bags to be checked should be based on size not who is last. Grossly disappointed with service"

Plusy: "Free tv which is rare"
Minusy: "I had selected my seats ahead of time and they weren’t kept. Day of I tried to buy a seat and it told me there were tech issues and I had to go to a front desk to check in/purchase. Well all that got me was the very last row, middle seat. No recline and seriously no leg room or breathing room once the person in the row ahead leans back. Crew was not helpful. Not to mention, the security line was outrageously long and I got to my flight just before it left only to find out my seating arrangement and be presented with more disappointment. Took over an hour where I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes in this airport (I fly often). Didn’t have time to go to BR or grab a snack Then my second flight was (again another middle seat) way too warm. The attendants said “there’s nothing we can do”. I was so nauseous and uncomfortable the whole time."

Minusy: "3 boarding doors less than 50 feet apart with departures leaving within 15 min of each other created a difficult to penetrate gaggle."

Minusy: "The original booked flight was about 12 hours before the rebooked flight. We got up at about 2:00 am to leave for the airport at 3:30 am for a 6:30 am flight. We were all packed and booked our ride and shuttinlpg down the computer at the last minute when we noticed an mail after midnight telling us the flight was cancelled. We called and were told there was nothing they could do, due to connections and this was entirely their fault. Approximately 12 hours later we took a “red eye” thus arriving a day late for our hotel and car reservations. We were charged baggage fees and not sure if our priority boarding will be refunded."

Plusy: "Flight was delayed 3hrs, no fault of the flight crew or airline but incredibly annoying. amd the person next to me reeked of onions and I couldn’t shake the smell for the entire flight."

Plusy: "The way the pilot and crew handled the "injured" passenger."
Minusy: "Fizzy bubbles felt on my arm and hair as flight attendant passing out drinks. She was filling them too full."

Plusy: "Was supposed to leave at 8:00 am. Waited for 4 hours, got my flight rebooked after having to search for an AA representative. I had to get my luggage due to the change of airlines, after waiting for an hour at the luggage reclaim center i was told that my bag had already shipped by itself with other flight"
Minusy: "Everything. Poor service. 5 hours of waiting. Disaster"

Plusy: "Staff at SAN was good helpful. Check in was seemless."
Minusy: "Wishing that they would serve something to drink — even if I would have to pay for it. Flight attendant gave me wrong directions and I left for another terminal while my carry on luggage (which had to be checked) was still at the gate. I had to wait until it arrived at baggage claim."

Plusy: "I enjoyed the crew members, they were very nice and smiled despite it being so early. I also enjoyed that they mentioned about the free movie watching option if you have the AA app."
Minusy: "I didn't like that they didn't offer any snacks such as pretzels or cookies. Other than that, it was a very comfortable flight."

Plusy: "The flight was on time."
Minusy: "Tired of less friendly, overweight domestic fight attendants (this is not the case on Asian Airlines (i.e. Korean, Japan)"

Plusy: "The entertainment system is awesome made the flight go by so fast seats were comfortable"
Minusy: "While using the entertainment system the airplane announcement system was way too loud I believe you are going to have lawsuits eventually for loss of hearing everybody around me was jerking to take the earphones out of their ears because the announcement system was way too loud across the entertainment system"

Plusy: "Friendly flight attendants and nice to kids"
Minusy: "Being held inside the plane for a total of 5:30 hours before taking off. Even if there were several concurring factors, it it necessary to find a better procedure in order to avoid keeping passangers inside a plane with the prospect of taking off in the next half hour repeated every half hour! For the ones of us traveling with children it is even worse, and becomes a real nightmare."

Plusy: "The boarding went very smoothly even though the flight was full ."
Minusy: "The plane to San Diego was much nicer, then the return flight to DFW. No TV screens are port to plug-in your cell phone."

Plusy: "Smooth flight- communication from the pilot, free beverage, movies, what more could a person ask for"

Minusy: "I was forced to check a bag in when I had flown previously the week before with the same carry on. $50 spent for nothing in my opinion. Per the supervisor over head bin size does not change yet my bag was "too big" like I said I had flown literally 4 days before this trip and had no problems with my bag fitting nor did any of the flight attendants say anything. I am just annoyed. Also I didn't know that I would fly American as it's through Alaska originally, maybe that was my lack of attention to detail. The carry on situation is what irritated me the most. This is also not the first time that I've had a problem with American Air."

Plusy: "AA put us in a hotel and gave $12 (per person) food voucher for missed connection due to delay for maintenance."
Minusy: "Our luggage was lost for 2.5 hrs in PHX airport, due to mix-up by service rep at customer service. AA attendant at gate at CLT was extremely rude and unprofessional when I accuse Left my boarding passes in seat pocket. Would not summon someone to retrieve it. Made me wait until entire plane was disembarked and cleaned, and made me wait some more after. She was super snarky, made rude comments, and almost made my family miss our connection to EWN. I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays."

Minusy: "My initial booking was with Iberia Airlines and a few days prior to my Flight was switched over to American Airlines. Had i known I would be flying with AA, I would have opted for a more expensive option as I've a great disdain for AA. My flight from JFK was not the model aircraft I was promised and thus did not have ac chargers or Wifi in the plane. In my opinion, I was bait and switched via Kayak"

Plusy: "I likes that I was able to pick my seat for the same price."

Minusy: "We have American Credit Card we thought we were told we would be in Group 1 NOT Group 5!"

Plusy: "The crew tried and did as good a job as they could with what they had to work with."
Minusy: "The shuttle transportation didn't give me any information about baggage claim, took me 45 min to find the right baggage claim! So frustrating."

Plusy: "I am very grateful for the pilots who quickly turned around and immediately flew for us. Even though they weren't the ones scheduled to pilot my plane, they did and had a good additive about it."
Minusy: "There was a lot of turbulence in the flight that had no warning at all. I was walking in an aisle when it started and almost fell and would've appreciated more advanced notice. It was a bummer that the flight was delayed, but that happens and I understand it."

It cost me in fees to basically cancel my flight which ended up being just as much as my entire flight ticket. Got refunded a total of $12 to use towards my next flight. Never flying or booking a flight with American Airlines at all. Kayak couldn't even help with accommodations. Southwest is the only company that will actually hold those credits for you. Everywhere else is just trying to scam you."
