There is nothing to like about Finnair. Zero service, a mediocre aircraft even though it's an Airbus A350-900 it does not have individual fresh air vents which obviously must be a Finnair option when ordering as Qatar Airways A350-900s do indeed have ................ but they ARE a 5* airline and Finnair is very much NOT. Full flight, no A/C running and as I said no fresh air vents, so it was very stuffy and uncomfortable. I had chosen my seat, as I am a fellow One World member (Qatar Airways Gold member), and isolated myself. When I made check in I looked again and repositioned myself, because obviously Finnair doesn't value my OW tier, and yet when I reported to the desk they had re-assigned yet me another seat sat next to a 'mini-whale' - so poor passenger seating allocation. To give a comparison - flew on a very full A380 QR003 DOH-LHR just 3 days earlier and I was informed by cabin crew that there only about 4 empty seats on that flight and yet 'one of those' was next to me !!! That is how you treat a Gold Member .... but not Finnair.

They were prompt, efficient and very helpful and although my flight was quite full, we left on time and had no issues in the air. I was very pleased with their service and especially as I paid such a low fare through Finn Air, I can't complain. This was a great option to utilise, rather than paying BA's more expensive fares. Ok. Just ok. But clean and on time

Misleading or incorrect information resulted in us being charged $95 to check a bag. This did not happen on our flight from Boston to Lisbon - the bags were checked through. So at the end of our trip, we were tired and waited a long time to be told that we had to pay $95 for each bag (two of us, we each had one). This was profoundly disappointing. The food was not good. The crew was great. Seats are uncomfortable, and it's like riding a bus. I'd never pay for an upgraded seat because even business class didn't look much different. Generally, I fly a legacy airline, but I wouldn't book with TAP again.

Of course, we were also told that we could have changed the name had we purchased a more expensive ticket. In other words, we were lied to and told the issue was regulation, when really they wouldn’t help us because we couldn’t afford a more expensive ticket. The only help we were given was the pleasure of paying over $1,500 more to get my wife on the flight. I am in the process of trying to get this refunded, but as of now we have paid twice for my wife to fly, and neither ticket has been refunded. We may have accidentally broken a rule, but the only function that rule seems to have is to make us pay twice for the same seat. As of now, I would never fly this airline again, and I would warn everyone away from it. I will update this post if TAP does the right thing by two honeymooners."

I am aware that planes can “fly with one engine”, but flying a plane with one engine along with it having electrical problems is not safe and A RISK! why take that risk of something bad happening, not only would lives of innocent people and their crew get lost, but that is a million dollar assest that could get lost and a PR nightmare. It is a shame they took that risk. They also dodnt tell us until we landed. Had I known before we took off at Freetown I would have gladly fot off and found another mode of transportation to get to my final destination. SN Brussels is know to send their sh*tty planes to Africa, because there are always problems with the planes heading to that continent. It is just another obvious proof of their racism."

Plusy: "We are not frequent fliers and I have been reading about legroom problems. Certainly not on Brussels Air. A delight."
Minusy: "Complete desinfprmation. No announcements and lack of support stuff. Worst airline experience ever"

We had a transfer in Brussels where some how the tags on the bags were not there and we were without a luggage for 5 days. I feel that the Venice airport claim was horrible as they seem to misplace luggage alot and on our transfer flight they fave us the wrong carousel. The service on the plane was great. But that was it."

Minusy: "Wish there had been a place to plug in phone or other USB stuff"
Plusy: "Rude and incompetent crew/employees. Early morning flight was delayed 30 min and therefore we missed our connection. Representatives at the Brussels airport were incompetent, slow and misleading and on top of all our suitcases were lost and 24 hours later no one can tell us where they are"

Plusy: "The seats were great, we were seated in an exit row, so loads of legroom, we are tall so this is very important. Crew was very friendly and helpful."
Minusy: "No fault of the airlines, but I was seated next to a very large family with little kids and a baby. I'm usually pretty tolerant, but the back of my seat was kicked for 8 hours and the kids kept running right in front of me causing me to constantly move my legs. Ugh. Food was ok, nothing special, it edible."

Plusy: "the cabin crew was wonderful. We were delayed by half hour on board they kept us informed and the service was excellent"
Plusy: "Your airline 100% better then Air Canada."
Plusy: "I flew on United, not Brussels, on this leg, too."

Minusy: "All of it. Missed an event because of their delay. An event I paid for."
Minusy: "Required to pay even for a soft drink or juice."
Minusy: "We found the crew to be abrupt in manner on both flights."

Minusy: "Departure delayed for unspecified reasons, most of the passengers like me had connecting flights and it was stressful"
Minusy: "The plane was delayed. The service was poor. My bag was lost. Will not fly brussels airlines again."
