Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."

For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Finnair can work harder to keep customer service quality high. Hate to say it, but perhaps letting the bitter, last generation flight attendants who seem to have a grudge about the decline of the glamour and benefits of the job as flying has become commonplace with more competition (seen this on Finnair & N America’s older airlines line United)"

Minusy: "The man sitting next to me required two seats. The arm rested had to be lifted to my seat to accommodate him. I complained but the flight was full and my seat could not be changed. I was told that British Air policy was not to require extraordinary over weight people to buy two seats. No, instead the person next to that overweight person has to suffer. A very stupid and unfair policy. As a result I will never book Finnair or British Air again if I can avoid it."

Minusy: "Twice I was passed up and overlooked for food and drink when they were being provided to all. The attendant said i needed to speak up if i wanted something and i pointed out i did and he said he would get me on the way back but never came back until he was picking up the empties. He said everyone else seemed to get served what was my problem and I pointed out the girl next to me was also skipped to which he turned around and never walked down my aisle again. Also, the lack of wiFi on this leg was a disappointment as it was available on the trip to Barcelona. That goes a long way to making the long trip more enjoyable."

I was instructed to go check in at the desk by the service rep on the phone, which was straightforward process, but I was half-expecting being told that my booking had been cancelled"
Minusy: "First of all, though this was booked as a Finnair flight, Finnair was never part of the process after the booking. We rec'd an email from Kayak saying we could check in 36 hrs early - not so. Even at the 24 hr mark, we were unable to check in via Finnair - had to go to British Airways. Finnair was not represented at either airport - British Airways. On the return, British Airways canceled our flight (2 hrs before takeoff), and we could not get a non-stop flight home. This meant that we had to change terminals, retrieve our bags at the layover, recheck, etc. which of course, added 3 hrs to the original length of the trip. Where's our compensation? We paid for a round trip non-stop flight."

I had to exit use the external train (which was delayed) and go through the very slow Terminal 5 security. Almost missed my ORD-LHR flight (arrived at the gate after the official closing time)"

No one was available around the self service kiosks and the line to drop bags or get any service didn't move for 40 minutes. We finally went to the gate. In Copenhagen we had a delay and no one would even talk to us except to say " you are booked in tourist class so I can't help You". They do an excellent job of avoiding any contact with their customers. I fly almost every week for business and have never had this bad of service."

I wish we got a crew that wasnt so insecure and cared more about providing a good service instead of caring so much over their appearance. I rather have good efficient staff what they look like doesnt matter to me."
Minusy: "A very dishonest experience. The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."
Minusy: "SAS has one of the worst boarding procedures and not enforcing it. Flight was delayed an I almost lost my connection in CPH. and it has the narrowest legroom of all Star alliance flights. my flight from stockholm was delayed and there was a massive queue at border control and no SAS or CPH airport staff to organise to get PAX through faster so they dont miss their connection I had to fight my way through the queue otherwise I would have lost my connection"

Minusy: "When waiting to board the flight, it was difficult to understand when different parts of the plane were boarding because of the soft volume of the loud speakers. All people could really hear was "boarding now", which created a bit of a rush of everyone. It would be helpful if there were an SAS representative to stand next to the line, to physically say to people, 'Okay, we are now only doing priority boarding. If you are priority boarding, please stand her. After that, if you are business class, please stand here. Everyone else, please wait, but know that we will start to board from the back of the plane. Minusy: "They wanted to charge us for two small carry one weighing 12.5 kilos each since we had not maked on purchase time that we had luggage to check in. Some $ 75 each. I do not remember online purchase page having any section to make down the luggage at the time of purchase. On the flight we were in hot plane for 1/2 hour with no air conditioning dehydrated only to find out that our dring water allowance was 2/3 of a small plastics cup. Yes, believe it. It is the truth. They will refil hot tea once or twice but no cold water. One much purchase if they like which was not so cheap. Attendant said they have limited cold drinking water allowance on board for reason. I am thinking , I guess , it would have made the plane weighed too much. Stingy airline like the others in Europe such as AirBerlin. I get the feeling that Americans are at this disadvantage and not swedes since we saw many other passengers carying carryon the same size as us."
Minusy: "Everything...I was not on the flight. The fight was cancelled due to the on-going Swedish pilot strike. The first option SAS provided was getting out in a week. I said that would not work. They then scheduled me on Lufthansa, but due to delays in Frankfurt due to weather we missed out connection to ORD. 4+ hours after standing in endless lines Lufthansa resheduled us the next day. But, it took nearly two days to get home."
