The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."

I was flying from Helsinki to Los Angeles via Stockholm and eventhough I booked everything directly thru finnair, they gave me only 35 min to change planes that required crossing accross terminal 5 and going thru customs. I asked helped to different staff multiple times and no one cared. Finally when I made it to the gate the flight had been delayed because finnair did the same thing to other flights yet the app and website never updated. Finnair made several of us think we had missed our flight! [ ] Then when I got to the gate, the staff checked all of my documents again eventhough I had been checked in Finland less than 2 hrs before. If you fly with Finnair get ready for chaos. [ ] Messy online presence. Too many emails saying the same thing but hard to find relevant information (for example, I couldn't find any information about the trip from Stockholm to LAX) [ ] they provide the option to check in online and tag your bags at the airport but then have no bag drop line at some airports. [ ] Luggage information in Helsinki was never clear and caused us to step out and have to ring the doorbell to get our bags. It took forever for someone to open the door. [ ] Staff are careless about customer comfort. In rovaniemi, we had to board thru the tarmac and the attendants didn't care that people had to wait outdoor on freezing temperatures while the passengers were taking forever to put in their luggage and sit down. [ ] the only positive is that the airplanes are in good condition."

Touchscreen functions were barely working on my entertainment screen, the remote control didn't work altogether. WIFI didn't work at all."

The Pork Dish and Breakfast dish were awful, however I recognize it isn't Finnish food, but a Korean variety. Two babies kept crying and screaming, for almost a solid 4 hours. I wasn't aware infants had the lung capacity or developed vocal chords to do such a feat. It also seemed like the parents were ignoring their babies not even trying to console them. Absolutely out of the hands of the staff, and I do not blame them for that. The only reason why the flight was so low, was simply because of things out of their hands. This is just a review of this specific flight, not the company itself."

Minusy: "I booked this trip thinking it was with a European carrier - I had specifically wanted to avoid an American carrier. I was unable to confirm my flight online and had to ring because at NO POINT was I sent info that it was AA and not Finnair. I was charge almost $60 for this service because I did not have the right references sent with my confirmation email. T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London."

Minusy: "When I booked my ticket a month in advance, British Airways was going to charge me extra for trying to book my seating in advance. They told me it would be free if I called 24hrs before the flight. I called 24hrs before and they told me they could not book my seats because the airport owned the seating. My first flight was with American Airlines, they gave me a boarding pass, however for my leg with British Airways, I had to go get ANOTHER boarding pass to board the flight. This airline was very inconvenient and I felt scammed booking with them. I would not recommend this airline to anyone!"
Plusy: "The crew went above and beyond to cater to everyone during this long long flight, they were really sweet, moving people around for more comfort if needed. Hadn't seen such a caring crew in a long time. Thank you to the Miami based crew, they were amazing !"

Lost a day, lost 2 tours, endured additional hotel costs...and the attendant made it clear she was on overtime and we just needed to move on. American Airlines is too big and consolidation of airlines has not been good for the public."

Minusy: "the airplane was absolutely freezing. It was so cold, you could actually see the air blowing (like in winter). There's no need for that. Somehow European airlines manage not to freeze out all their passengers. It was less than a two hour flight but felt like an eternity because it was so uncomfortable. Seat size - this is absolutely the smallest it can/should go. I am pretty skinny, but even I'm running out of room and the seat backs could be made a bit more comfortable. Not only is there almost no recline, but the way they are constructed - they actually push my head forward - not made for short people."

Upon arriving at Chicago there was no one available to provide information on how to get to Royal Jordanian gates. Also on my AA portion of my flight coming into The U S in New York the flight was cancelled and I was told the next flight Available was next day (18hr delay) at the other NY airport. I had to have someone drive from D.C. (My destination) to pick me up"

Spoke with the Supervisor Ralph who stated it was against policy. How stringent is this policy if it was waived seven times previously? Policy needs to be reviewed with entire staff. I will no longer use American Airlines because their military convenience and policies no longer seem to favor the military. My husband also after speaking with him will also no longer use your airline including all his members he overseas when they return after their year tour."

I never received a check in notification email. It took forever to check in at the airport because the the kiosk took a while to pull up my reservation after asking for additional information. I got stuck with middle seats on 5 hour plus flights when I had actually checked to confirm I could still select a window seat before I booked and did indeed select window seats when I booked."
