Minusy: "I felt like the airlines deliberately cheated me. I purchased a flight that was listed as "economy" , which means I am authorized one suitcase. When I got to checkout they said I had pay for the suitcase. Turns out my flight was economy 'light' flight and I had to go the Austrian airlines desk and pay euro 40 for my suitcase. Wish that would have been clear when I purchased the ticket. Also there is no clear info on what the cost is for your bag at what point in the check-in process."

Minusy: "Did not like the food. I specifically selected vegeterian meal however was served vegan meal which I did not enjoy"
Minusy: "My parents were traveling, they dont speak english and I verified with Austrian airlines that they would be assisted at the gates and that they had the correct visas for each airport they had a layover in. I was assured there would be no problems. Upon boarding they were not able to get on their flight. I have never had so many communication issues and frustrations in the middle of the night with an airline. disappointed."
Minusy: "I had a weelchair and nobody assist me in Viene in Austria"
Plusy: "Crew was wonderful and spoke English They brought drinks. Seats were very nice and plane seemed new and very clean They handed out card decks to the kids."

Minusy: "only provided ONE meal on an 11 hour flight?? how is that ok? people were very hungry. when i asked about that, the disinterested flight attendants tried to convince me that they had in fact provided “two services” -they apparently think a small packet of crackers counts as dinner. shortly before landing they served a stale ham sandwich (8 hours after the only meal). Food quality was poor as well. during booking there was not an option to indicate dietary requirements either. not impressed with austrian air overall."
Minusy: "The airplane came late, delaying our trip. Despite that, the luggage would not come, and the claims office was ridiculous (despite of the destination being within 1 hour of drive from the airport, it took us 24 hours of our short vacation trip to deal with luggage). It seems that LH has these problems regularly, and they don't seem to care; I guess we'll have to try someone else to avoid suffering the same problem every time. The employees already knew the luggages are in a mess, and so were the claims. When taking LH, we have to accommodate luggage delay into our planning."

Plusy: "Unfortunately no good experience comes to my mind..... Only one! At boarding there was a Jewish girl, she was very nice and kind! I wish I could list here more positive!!!"
Minusy: "Unfortunately the food was poor quality. You should pay attention to people who eat kosher and have an option available. Eventho I have marked it on my ticket I need kosher food it wasn't available. It is upsetting. It would be a must at every company, regardless of the service to have name tags for the employees!!! Mostly the flight attendants were kind, but as soon as i asked for something it seemed like they don't want to help or work at all. I understand I have traveled on the economy class but shouldn't make a difference how you treat the travelers. The pillows were dirty!!!!! Not only one, because I have asked for more......most of them! It is disgusting! Something must have been wrong with the headphones because the volume was on max when i tried to watch the move but barely could hear anything. I have flew with Lufthansa most of the time and in the future will chose them. Very disappointing that sooo many little things are interrupting a vacation."

Minusy: "Got bumped from the seat I reserved after boarding without explanation and when I explained I was traveling with a group was simply told that's too bad. Their customer service is awful and had already submitted a complaint for a return flight which was never followed up on."
Plusy: "Catering and service was superb. While linen. Course by course on China, no tray service. The food was exquisite. The wine was acceptable, mid range, with very generous pours in Riedel glassware and always the offer made of would I like anything more? The seperate coffee menu has to be experienced to be believed, basically, it's an authentic Vienna see cafe experience at 30,000 ft."
Minusy: "Entertainment selection was fiddly and the offerings meagre compared to the vast libraries found on other carriers, but it was sufficient. More a quibble than a gripe from me. The noise cancelling headsets were good quality noise cancelling, and comfortable. I can't wear some other airlines headsets at all and use my ear pods with an airline adapter jack."
Plusy: "Flight was cancelled. Waited over two hours to be rebooked. Nothing was offer. Special meals was not available for a flight that is over 9 hours. No other food was available."
Plusy: "It would be nice to see AUA learning from other airlines on how to board a plain. To date it is chaotic, unorganized, messy and unnecessarily unfriendly. Interestingly enough it compares well to the non-existing system for lining up at Skilifts in Austria: Use force to squeeze everybody around you or cheat your way in sidewise. Not exactly my cup of tea."

Minusy: "Flight cancelled morning of the flight and our direct flight on Austrian Air turned into a flight on Lufthansa with a layover in Munich. Not pleased with their handling of the situation and their very blasé customer service"
Plusy: "We have children and the crew was very helpful in making it an easy boarding process for all of us."
Minusy: "Initially we were jammed into a gate area with all guests and it was absolutely horrible and not safe, especially with our kids."
