My bags were searched twice and while I fully support security this was excessive"

The lack of transparency regarding baggage fees is outrageous. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars in such fees after having had no such notice - and no inkling - that that would be the case. We call this a "racket" in the United States."

Minusy: "The seats are too close to each other. The couple in front of use reclined the entire flight and they were nearly in our laps. We could not get in and out of our seats to stretch. The flight attendant needed to ask them to sit up during meals so that we could eat."

Minusy: "The plane had a flea infestation that left both my wife and I with tiny bites on our legs - during the layover the flight attendants came through and sprayed the air vents in the overhead with an aerosol - I had never seen that done before but I suspect that Swiss knew the plane had microscopic flees that were biting passengers. We flew business class and expected much better from Swiss."

Plusy: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."
Minusy: "This seat is not ideal for sleeping for taller persons (I'm 185cm tall) as the space to put the feet is very narrow and it's uncomfortable when lying on the back (as one cannot put them in the natural resting position). Cabin temperature could have been a bit lower for my taste. Crew needs better training with regards to transfer procedure in Chengdu."

People seated all the way in the back should be allowed to board first and fill the plane back to front. Comfort - Window seats are too hot, middle aisle seats are too cold 3. Thankfully they do have halal offering. Now if they will even let me choose that I am allergic to seafood. Glad for the chicken. Nothing to boast about."

Air France was a complete and total disaster and I would strongly recommend all friends and colleagues to find alternative airlines for travel"

Minusy: "The cabin on the 777-200 was far too hot (about 25c) and with no individual air vent I found this unbearable on a 12 hour flight. And despite the flight taking place entirely during daylight hours and leaving at 10:30 am, inexplicably we were made to all pull our blinds down and the lights went off after a couple of hours - in the middle of the day and for about 8 hours! So although I had paid for a window seat there was nothing to see apart from the window shade. As it was the middle of the day I could not go to sleep, the person in front of me reclined fully so for me the flight was a hot, claustropobic, dark hell. An utterly miserable experience. I felt like I was going mad, trapped in my own little cell."

Thank god it was a relatively cheap ticket, but would never take this airline again though."

Minusy: "The boarding process in Europe isn't the same as in the United States. Handicap and small children are usually boarded first and routes are called in groups. In Europe all the passengers make a line and wait to board a plane. We stood in line for an hour! I only stood in lime because we have a toddler, stroller, Diaper bag, carry on, etc. Air Europa only requested that small children board the plane first on one of our flights. We flew on 3 fpr their planes this vacation."

Minusy: "I paid for exit row seating assignments through the booking agent assigned by Kayak, but these just showed up as a note on my reservation. I was assigned a different seat at check in. Oh, and I was totally unable to check in online. The website would crash. So, I had to wait until I got to the airport to get a seat assignment."

Minusy: "This was a pretty long flight, but the seats did not have individual screens for entertainment like on most international planes. Instead, there were a few large screens in the center aisles but the shows were not in English and you had no personal choice of what to watch."

Minusy: "Website not working. I had to call and was sent a PDF boarding pass without a barcode. I ended queuing at the checkin counters again."

Minusy: "More than 4 hours delay and nobody was able to tell us anything, nobody was updated in the gate, terrible information and service, Internet service was terrible, the only quick procedure was to charge my credit card, after this terrible reception"

We ran for catch our flight only to find out that it had already taken off. No one we spoke to in Madrid was helpful (in fact, they were rather dismissive) until we finally spoke to a rep at customer service who provided us with our new flight (the next day with another airline) and our hotel arrangements"

Plusy: "Flight was safe, priced well, included checked baggage, and they didn't nickel and dime you (although if you wanted anything to drink, you would be charged for it). They let you choose seats too without charging extra."
Minusy: "To board at Frankfurt, we had to first wait in a room until about 5 minutes before scheduled takeoff time, then everyone loaded into a bus to drive out to the plane on the tarmac, then finally we started to taxi to take off. There didn't appear to be any reason for our delay, other than the fact that the boarding process is as long as it could possibly be (wait in a room, take a bus, then finally walk onto the plane). Not much legroom at all, my knees were pretty much touching the seat in front of me (I'm 6 feet tall). Bags took awhile to get out to baggage claim, and were pretty wet from the rain outside."

Minusy: "Not enough legroom! Flight attendants did not seem interested"

Plusy: "Good movies"
Minusy: "No way to sit straight if you are over 5'10". Very uncomfortable. When the person in front pops the seat back eating is almost impossible and getting out of the seat turns into a problem. The soggy buns were not real food and the empty cardboard box for breakfast was unnecessary and made more garbage. The fried noodles looked like something I see in the compost pile."
