Minusy: "When I presented my passport at the counter to receive my boarding pass, I was told my passport needed to be over 3 months before expiration. It expires January 14, 2019. It is not written on the passport, nor mentioned during booking. I’ve been to Latvia four times previously and never heard this requirement. I cancelled the flight with Lufthansa who said I must call Kayak who gave me another number to call and that number then sent an email that said there was a $350 rebooking fee for each ticket, IF they decided I was eligible for rebooking. Yes, we got a great rate, but looks like wasted $ now. I will book directly with the airline in the future to ensure the ability to rebook."

Minusy: "We only had 45 minutes between flights. We almost missed our flight to Naples due to having to go through security again in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt airport was very congested. I wouldn’t have booked a flight with such a short layover had I known how far apart the gates were and that we’d have to go through security again. I would suggest not offering flights with such short layovers."

No explanations whatsoever, the craziest experience, completely messed our plans to get a bite up, I wish we were given some information ahead of time that we are going to be sitting in a single room zone. The flight was ok, but hellishly hot all the way."

The contact number that O’Hare had was a disconnected Verizon number, which was the same number listed on their website. I had to call the international number where I was told I was rebooked on United with 2 layovers instead of one. I also lost my business class upgrade and was told there was nothing they could do about it."

Minusy: "That was the most uncomfortable flight I have had. It was hard fora short flight, though sitting so close to another passenger, side and front was stressful. Plus, my back was killing me by the end of the short flight- and the long flight from Europe to the US was hard. It was pretty much knocking elbows with the passenger next to me when eating. And mind you- no passenger in my row as any larger than the average person. The seat recline was fine and marginally helpful in relieving back strain- except it did put you in the lap of the passenger behind you. The passenger across the aisle from me shoved the seat in front of her and told the passenger in front of her he could NOT recline. The passenger next to her (I assume her husband) joined in with the shoving. I finally felt a need to intervene and calm them down as it began to escalate- and I did want the flight to continue. Note- while I think the passengers shoving the seat were a bit rude- the crowded nature of the seating with the recline was hard, so I understand. But the person in front had a reason (and a NEED given the discomfort) to lean his seat back. The seats were simply too uncomfortable to keep them upright. I helped them find a recline for both passengers that was reasonably okay. I also tried to get my recline somewhere between comfortable for me (impossible) and reasonable in space for the person behind me, This is an airline problem. And when people wonder about the rise in passenger rage... this cramming in is it. I had to use Austrian because of a last minute need to book a flight- given the inability to relax even a little and the residual back and leg pain ... thus my ability to immediately jump into work during a busy work and travel schedule means that I will definitely not take this airline again. If you are shorter than 5' 5 and weigh about 100 lbs- this might be okay. Otherwise, expect to be a lot of rats shoved in a cage."

Minusy: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Minusy: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."

Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."

Minusy: "Terrible to have to pay 70 Euros when you are an elite gold status member. And no mention of this during booking process and checkin unless you dig in deep via links. Not used to this with other airline partners and likely last time I am flying SAS"

On top of an $1100 flight? You have to be kidding me."

Minusy: "SAS is a train wreck. everything they told us was misinformation from the first delay (there were 5 delays, one each hour, before they cancelled) The whole time they would not allow ticket changes while we watched available flights take off for 5 hours. We had no say in the rebooking - they just said wait you will get an email. The SAS workers need to be trained - how about putting up a sign that says "this line for parking vouchers ony'ly" when 300 people are lined up for assistance."

Minusy: "Got delayed 13-hours in an airport with no SAS staff present to communicate anything to all of the passengers. We were not accommodated with hotel vouchers or provided with alternative travel options to our final destinations and missed flights. SAS did not cancel the flight after the first 4-hours of delay which is illegal by EU Standards. None of us were able to leave the airport as we were not told any information about potential flight departure times and it would have been $2000 to re-book with a different airline. No answers were given by SAS over the phone and their staff seemed unaware of any problems."

Plusy: "The flight crew were very nice and helpful.."
Minusy: "I didn't like that we waited an hour to take off I had to run through the terminal in Chicago to catch my flight to Dallas. I had to rush though customs then run to check in baggage didn't have time just to drop off and run to shuttle then run to terminal security check in then run to my gate to catch my flight I was 2 minutes before my gate closed. I barely made the flight. I am also still waiting on United Airlines to find my luggage, they are supposed to call me and drop off my luggage."

Minusy: "This is my first international flight that didn't include complimentary beverages. No free wine or alcohol, and only ONE complimentary beverage on the entire 9 hour flight! They only came around ONCE with the beverage cart! (and this was like an hour and a half before they served dinner, which didn't include a drink). They also only came around and offered water ONCE on the flight. Normally this would be every 1-2 hours. Also, the flight was delayed by about 2 hours, and they didn't make an announcement until we were about an hour late. Thankfully, I was getting updates from Kayak, or else I wouldn't have even known we were delayed."

Plusy: "The entertainment system was very good. The crew were all efficient and courteous, with the exception of one crew member who was rather curt."
Minusy: "Our plane arrived at IAD late due to a minor mechanical that was repaired at its previous destination. Consequently, we departed IAD almost two hours late, causing us to miss our connection in Copenhagen. Norwegian Air had a flight leaving shortly from Copenhagen to Rome, but the transfer agent told us SAS "does not re-book with Norwegian." Instead we were assigned to two more flights, one to Brussels, and another from Brussels to Rome. We arrived in Rome around 17:00 rather than 10:35 as scheduled, losing a full day of sight-seeing."

Minusy: "Seat was uncomfortable."

Plusy: "At least on long-haul flights SAS Plus is quite nice, much closer to business class service than your usual premium economy offering. Real silverware, good drinks, pretty good food, plenty of space and a nice blanket and pillow. The lounge in Copenhagen is quite nice too."

The booking never made it clear that I was not allowed to check my suitcase and I had to pay € 70 extra both coming and going and thereby paid 1 1/2 times more for my suitcase than for my ticket. I am very disappointed to be 'tricked' in this way and consider it a very dishonest business practice."

Minusy: "I Had checked several times to make sure I had 2 bags included ( standard for US-EU flights) and every time. At the airport I had to pay an extra charge for my second bag which made the flight very expensive and just ruined the whole experience for me"

Minusy: "This is a non frills flight and that was expected but I NEVER expected to pay for bags to be checked on an international flight. 66 Euro per bag. It was the first time I had paid for checked bags on an international flight. I will look elsewhere next time."

Plusy: "The food was quite good on the international trip. Thought the pilots were excellent on all flights. Take offs and landings were very smooth."

Minusy: "The crew forgot to start serving the final meal until 40 minutes before we landed which resulted in them nearly throwing food at people so that they could quickly get through the plane and sit again before descent. I was not able to choose my seat and was seated in the back of the plane. Consequently this meant that every parent on the plane with two-year-olds decided that the best place to let them stretch their little legs was back by me. I work with small children so I understand that when they reach that age all they want to do is kick and punch, but I didn't want to end my vacation by having half a dozen two-year-olds punch my leg or try to crawl under my chair as they wandered nearby. I still have bruises."

New boarding pass had to be issued with another seat assignment. SAS is on my no fly list."
