Plusy: "So, as mentioned, this was our first time flying Emirates and from our flights from Maryland to Dubai to Philippines has been pleasant, the only issue we've had was with the security process and an incident that my wife encountered in Dubai when we were in the process of boarding to go to Washington Dulles. We landed in Dubai and we were in transit to our connecting flight. We went to our assigned gate and had to check in with security prior to waiting in our gate or boarding the plane. We checked in our electronic devices and my wife was asked to be checked. There wasn't anything wrong up until that moment. My wife cooperated with all the requests of the security agent. They asked her to go inside a security room/enclosed area and the first thing that the security agent asked my wife was why she wasn't wearing her wedding band. It was obvious that she was married because she had a tan line of the marks of wearing a ring. It was her travel ring and she removed it because it was too tight and she explained that to the agent. The agent then made the comment "so you got fat on this trip?". My wife was confused on what she said and asked her "what did you say?". The agent then repeated ..."So you're fat... that's why the wedding ring doesn't fit?" My wife was furious but maintained her cool because she didn't want to give a reason for her to be held from getting on the flight. I didn't see the situation take place and I don't know if there was anything that triggered her comment. My wife felt humiliated. I don't know the agent's name but I wanted to address the incident. Our experience with Emirates has been very pleasant but having to feel helpless after someone with authority to make that comment was humiliating and ruined the rest of her time on the flight as well as mine."

She marveled at their service & at every consideration to make flying alone as a senior seamless & worry-free. She was so happy of their thoughtfulness for carrying her luggage, driving her wheelchair, checking in for her w/her passport & picking up her luggage at the baggage round, that she tipped him $20. She made us sure that she would LOVE to fly alone back home again to the PH without us as long as she has airline assistance. A hint for us! She also liked how there was more foot room for economy seats than in Delta & EvaAir for this long trip & it helped her stretch her legs, as well as, the little Emirates pocket bag they give w/ear plugs & a eye mask with socks."

I am sure if left up to Emirates / Qantas we would still be sitting at Dubai looking at the board."

Two tiny closet bathrooms in the back for all of coach and a much larger one much larger one first class (which is like 5 rows with a mesh curtain for separation). The coach bathrooms are so small a normal person can barely get in and turn around to close the door. I question whether a larger person would be able to actually use them. I also saw the flight attendant actively turn away coach passengers trying to use the first class bathroom when it was open (not standing in the aisle or anything annoying like that). That's ridiculous to have 2 tiny bathrooms for all of coach and also to make people walk all the way to the back of the plane when you are seated much closer to the first class bathroom."

And leaving in the early morning it was too dark and they convinced us it was unsafe and a 35 min walk. It’s def would be that long of a walk in Mexico since we had no idea where we were going."

It is not only s united problem. Curtesy and respects goes both ways. They need to be retrained in public relation."

I dont think I should have been dismissed so quickly and probably wouldnt have made it on the plane if I wasn't persistent I wish Delta offered better flight snacks in general. Pretzels and peanuts are disappointing. If not, then maybe offer snacks for purchase (on all flights). This was a 2.5 hour flight and they had nothing. I was starving. (Jetblue Southwest Virgin do a better job w food)."

Minusy: "I was denied boarding on the Dublin to Munich leg of my connecting flight from Newark to Munich. My ticket was booked through Lufthansa, but the transatlantic leg of my trip was operated by United. When checking in with United in Newark, I received two boarding passes, one for each leg of the trip. I arrived on time in Dublin for my flight to Munich and tried to board the plane for Munich with the boarding pass I had printed in Newark. After scanning my ticket, the Lufthansa employees at the gate informed me that they had no record of me or my plane ticket in their system. I showed them the email confirmation for my ticket, but they still could not find any record of my ticket in their online system. The employees seemed more concerned with boarding all passengers as quickly as possible than assisting me. After being denied boarding, I had to go back through passport control to change my flight, and ended up getting to Munich nearly 6 hours behind schedule and missed an entire day of vacation. A Lufthansa employee told me that out of every partner in the STAR alliance, United is the ONLY airline they have had this problem with. I find this inexcusable, I will be AVOIDING ANY United/Lufthansa connecting flight from now on."

Minusy: "Frankfurt is just an awful airport. Too many landings and not enough infrastructure. Also tired of planes having to park thousands of yards from the terminal. The time to get the bag is as long as the flight. Each about 55 minutes. There is very little about German efficiency here."
Minusy: "Too small plane for business travelers - no carry allowed inside, yet all electronics have to be taken out. Lufthansa does not care about Senator status at all."

Other people traveling without luggage pushed me to pass by. I was told not very nice things. The flight was overbooked and overall horible experience."

Besides this things when I came to plane my sit and table tray was dirty so we had to put blanket over... for the first time I write bad feedback but I have to cause it was terrible.."

The amount of snacks was limited where’s in Turkish airlines it’s unlimited and you can choose different sandwiches whereas in Austrian airilines can offer biscuits and Cookies ;( Thirdly . We are living in 21 century and most transatlantic airlines have WiFi ! Where’s Austrian did not have it!"

Eventho I have marked it on my ticket I need kosher food it wasn't available. It is upsetting. It would be a must at every company, regardless of the service to have name tags for the employees!!! Mostly the flight attendants were kind, but as soon as i asked for something it seemed like they don't want to help or work at all. I understand I have traveled on the economy class but shouldn't make a difference how you treat the travelers. The pillows were dirty!!!!! Not only one, because I have asked for more......most of them! It is disgusting! Something must have been wrong with the headphones because the volume was on max when i tried to watch the move but barely could hear anything. I have flew with Lufthansa most of the time and in the future will chose them. Very disappointing that sooo many little things are interrupting a vacation."

Minusy: "As I was flying from London Heathrow back to Vienna, I had a carry-on that was allowed on my flight with Austrian from Vienna to London. My carry-on weighed 8 kg, like is required by the rules. While boarding my flight, the woman at the counter told me my bag had to be checked because there were too many carry-ons on the flight. I asked her that I keep my bag because I had medication in there, and she didn't listen to me at all. She just kept repeating that i have to check my bag, and then took my bag from me and gave it to the baggage crew there. I didn't want to make a huge scene because the flight is only 2 hours and I hoped i Could deal without my medication during that time, but I found it incredibly, incredibly rude and awful to not listen to a passenger."

Minusy: "The true cost of this ticket was extremely poorly communicated. The baggage policy was not clear when I purchased my ticket, and I was charged an additional 30 Euros upon boarding to check a bag that met the carry-on size requirements (I had looked this up ahead of time), but because it was in addition to my purse (which fit under the seat), I was forced to pay to check it. Had I been aware that this ticket only permitted a purse-sized carry-on when purchasing the ticket, I would have selected a different ticket/carrier entirely. What was even more confusing was that I had flown on a similar ticket from London to Vienna, and didn't have any issue bringing a carry-on and a purse, so of course I was surprised when they told me I had to pay an additional 30Euro for the same two bags! When I tried to explain this to the agent, she argued with me and was very unhelpful. Overall, a very negative experience on Austrian Air. I will not be returning."

Minusy: "My flight is cancelled for the 3rd time and instead of arriving jfk 23 Jan I might arrive jfk tomorrow 25 Jan. Today I was taken down the plane being checked in for today's OS800 Sofia Vienna and OS 87 Vienna / JFK on account of OS 87 for today is cancelled too, and it actually is not , going on time. The Sofia representative of Austrian airlines, understand took this decision himself and booked me for tomorrow via Milan on a Delta flight."

Because of an allergic reaction, I asked for ice a number of times and the attendants were more than happy to meet my needs."
