Minusy: "Cairo airport: Personnel have no manners. Rude, disdainful security staff who bark at passenges as if everyone is a criminal. Must be related to the Egyptian mindset. Dubai airport: Endless taxiing from aircraft to terminals, endless shuttle rides between terminals. You feel like a rat scuttling through underground tunnels and dismal byways through a wateland of darkness to be spat out at ugly, uninviting entrances somewhere in the bowels of Dubai International. No signs, no knowledgeable personnel to explain anything to you. No attempt at making travelers feel comfortable, no attempt at making the surroundings look pleasant. Must be the culture. The flight itself has wonderful staff, but the airport makes me not want to fly Emirates again!"

Plusy: "I had really high expectations for this trip but they were unmet. The service was indifferent. The chair wasnuncomfortable. The aisle was super narrow. I was bumped the entire flight. I didn’t like the food. And it was obvious by the end of the trip the staff was just done. Leaving the plane I passed several attendants and they did not say anything. They didn’t thank me for my business. They did t say goodbye or encourage me to come again — they were oblivious and no caring."

Minusy: "The food was not up to the mark - the menu choice and combinations needs to be re-looked at for non-veg passengers. The choice of spirits was limited and not there at times. The flight attendants overall disposition towards the passengers needs to improve. - at times they forgot what was asked of them."

Leg room SUCKED (and I am not a big person).....maybe 30-31 inches, but my knees were banging up against the seat in front of me!!! I booked this ticket thinking that economy would have more room than US-based carriers and it did not. It did not help to have a very large man spilling over into my seat from the middle seat (although he was very nice....still resent paying for a seat I don't have full "bandwidth" for),"

Some crew members are better than others. You could not request seats ahead of time and would tell you check in online and when you tried it would fail and told us to go to the airport which we did the day before and they told us they couldn’t do anything. Every agent told us something different about meal plans and seats. Crew onboard were not friendly and rude to us in economy. The vegetarian meal requested was awful and ended up being vegan which was not what we requested. When I asked for fruit plate off the regular menu the flight attendant never followed back up with me and so we didn’t eat any food for on a 15+ hour flight. Even though they had 100+ empty seats we couldn’t move around. Overall I was highly disappointed in their service on this flight."

I booked emirates and payed more to be on an emirates flight and to avoid flying with qantas. As qantas operated the first delayed flight i missed all my connecting flights and i'm still teavelling right now. Still in sydney. Never going to book through here again!"

Minusy: "vegan food was awful and poor nutrition, cold, huge plane with light panels so high up in the ceiling that when and if you turned them on to read, it was bothersome and intrusive to others, poor choices of movies, few currents ones, seats, though leather, had been used too many times before me and were not comfortable, had to put my seat up so person behind me could eat aisles so small I could not walk and stretch if carts would being used, aisle handles don't raise so when my companions had to go to the bathroom, I had to ask the person in front of me to raise their seat!!?? Insufficient leg room better trip on my return mostly because of the plane, it was smaller and better seats..it was a 380"

Minusy: "One negative experience was that there was only 1hr 30mins between connecting flights. Between departing international flight - picking up luggage/toilet stop and clearing Immigration/Customs then catching bus between Qantas international domestic terminals we were racing to catch flight. As we arrived Qantas domestic terminal our names were being called over along with info the plane was awaiting our arrival. In my experience 2hrs is minimum time between connecting flights - otherwise good experience."
