Plusy: "After our trip from Cape Town to Dubai with Emirates which was not that great we where pleasantly surprised when we where bumped up to business class from Dubai to Bangkok. We did not expect this. Although we did not take advantage of all the extras business class has to offer we had a great nights sleep and the breakfast was superb. The cabin crew was excellent all the time. Thank you Emirates."

Minusy: "Engine noise. Boarding in Dubai was a farce as called to gate even though aircraft was severely delayed inbound. Surly lounge staff didn’t help. Business Class gate desk ‘closed’ even though staffed as person was busy on the phone. Weird 2 - 3 - 2 layout means window and centre seats have to clamber over reclined neighbours. Seat width better than A380 and also less tomb like when reclined to nearly flat bed."

Minusy: "Biggest problem was late arrival, missing connection. Lateness caused by them at first, then a departing passenger caused further delay. But they were late to begin with. Next problem was their REFUSAL to give me an aisle seat. I reserved an aisle seat originally, aisle seats were available when I tried to change, but agent REFUSED to accommodate me with either aisle or window. Sat in middle with huge guy next to me. Very uncomfortable. Food was mediocre on this leg. Oh, and late departing AGAIN. Will seriously look for other options on next trip."

It felt really ugly to be lied to right to my face, when she diditn try to connect with someone from her own staff who had tried alot of heard to work to help me rectify the luggage question. For all we know, my luggage was in Zuruch, and her actions impeded the luggage from getting onto my plane."

Minusy: "Found my business class seat given away to a lady with a dog. Mine was window but with extra table next to aisle. She had aisle seat but with exactly the same configuration. Idea was she would place the dog on the table space next to her seat. It would be exactly the same for both seats. Do not know what they were thinking. There were other business class seats on the other side that had the table space ext to the window away from the aisle. That would make sense for the lady with dog. Business class was full and I was the last to get on, 45 minute connection in Zurich from terminal A to E, my seat was given. But as I objected, they moved the dog lady and gave me back my seat. But they never asked a person in the seat that would have made sense to give her to trade seats."
Turkish Airline is absolutely terrible!
Staff is excellent. Friendly and helpful. Food was quite good. Boarding process is smooth and quick, and our flight was timely.

I paid for this incompetence by missing Christmas and a business meeting. Do not think it will never happen to you, it is just a matter of time that this kind of bad service catches up to you. The system is so disconnected or careless that it can't even figure out I couldn't take the flight which it is is asking me a review for."

Minusy: "The fact that I missed my connection flight in Thailand because of a two hour delay. I was never informed why there was so much of a delay and in turn I had to pay triple of what I payed before for my flight. Very disappointed. Won't be flying this airline again. Service was rude. They should be more responsible when it comes to timing. We were on the flight waiting for two hours!!!"

Plusy: "Great crew. Super nice to our 4 year old daughter. They were quick, extra polite and efficient. I'm usually quite picky but this leg was perfect."

Minusy: "The wait times were ridiculous and always off schedule. From the beginning of the trio to the end of the trio there was consitency in going off schedule and being forced to stand in lines for hours. I would not fly Turkish again."
Plusy: "Better food and service than other airlines on which I've traveled recently. Loading passengers was disciplined and speedy. Staff very helpful. Istanbul airport is great for a long wait. If you go to a gate waiting area with no flight soon, you can stretch out and sleep. Good English-language bookstore."
Minusy: "The boarding time on the email was 21:40, but the real boarding time was at 20:40. I missed my flight, because of this, very unhappy and unsatisfied with the service. I had to search urgent trip and pay twice more, than i should, because of that mistake. Very poor experience"
Plusy: "Overall smooth flight. Arrived time at Atarurk airport and well managed by flight crew and ground staff."
Minusy: "They forgot to invite passengers with small children to board first. In flight service was good but seemed to be a bit slow as there was only one flight attendant serving half the economy cabin. They used to do a second drink service on this flight which was really nice before. Food was ok but TK has had better food on my other flights. The meatballs aren't as good as some of their more flavourful suppers."
Minusy: "I didn't like the fact that I was not able to change the flight for the earlier flight which had many free seats. Despite this, I had to wait 7 hours in the airport, it was really bad..."
Plusy: "Turkish was the only airline I've flown that actually did not give the impression of nickle and diming but really made clear and concerted and well executed efforts to exceed expectations on all fronts. A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."

Minusy: "I know seats in the 777-300 recline but do not disrupt the next row's space. That was not the case on the Airbus A330-300. It would be nice if the same seats were on the Airbus aircraft I flew from Istanbul to Bangkok."

Entertainment could have been better particularly the Indian movie choices were awful and OLD
There was no special meal on board even though I spent hours on hold to request one!

Minusy: "The cancelled the flight and I end up having to change all the routing of my trip back to the US. So instead of 15 hour trip to the US, and end up having a 24 hour trip!!"

Plusy: "Our flight was delayed in Italy and I was worried I would miss the connecting flights to the US. But not to worry Lufthansa waited for our flight and got our luggage on board as well. The food was outstanding."
Minusy: "That we could not by-pass the German passport check and go right to the next flight and check out passports only ones."
Plusy: "I had to change my flight times three times, and each time they charged me less than 30 dollars (for taxes) and the wait times on the phone were super fast. It was shocking to not lose hundreds of dollars for life happening and needing to change my flight. AND!! I got a free upgrade to premium economy for free!"

Minusy: "Boarding was chaotic, and primarily due to the fault of the boarding staff in Frankfurt. I was flying as a tourist from Switzerland, but it was easy to notice the condescending manner in which the African passengers were treated. I noticed the same attitude at immigration services in Frankfurt, were the officers were openly teasing, laughing at and harassing an Eritrean man. Some of the comments passed were frankly disgusting..."

Minusy: "Too small plane for business travelers - no carry allowed inside, yet all electronics have to be taken out. Lufthansa does not care about Senator status at all."

Minusy: "Muslim meal does not mean all Muslims eat curry. It’s rediculous that we cant have a decent English breakfast instead you get curry or some form of curry for breakfast, lunch and supper. Your so called Muslim meals are not suitable for kids!! There is no such thing as a Muslim meal either. It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc."

Minusy: "When I missed the connection from the first leg of my flight and purchased the ticket from that leg to finish my itinerary, Lufthansa cancelled ALL of my return tickets. Both Lufthansa and my travel agency pointed the finger at the other and I had to purchase another $1000 ticket to get home. There was no cancellation emails or any notification. I didn’t know my tixkets were cancelled until I was trying to check in. Worst experience ever!!"

I landed in Munich and had to run to my next flight and when I asked a Lufthansa staff for help in making my connecting flight he turned to me and said "I don't care-this isn't my problem" upon finally making it for last boarding call to my next flight the staff were rude and unhelpful-I was so stressed I literally had a stomachache and felt completely unwelcome."
Plusy: "The attention to service. We traveled with an infant and Lufthansa staff was more helpful and attentive than any other airline we've filed with our infant in the past."

Minusy: "Took first available train , arr. Freising at 9:50. Arrived at Terminal 2 by bus ca. 10:25. I am handicapped and a slow walker, so I got to departure floor ca. `10:40. Waited in line at self-serve check-in; found out that it does not have ability to process numbers (for US address). Attendant was not helpful and nasty. She told me me to go to the regular check-in line, where I waited another 45 minutes. None of the 3 "help" personnel standing around when approached managed to tell me that there was a special counter for handicapped persons. The one at the express self-check-in refused to give me her lasst name or any form of ID (first name Sophia). After waiting an additional 15 minutes for a wheelchair, I was deposited in a waiting area, where a second wheelchair arrived after another long wait. Told me I might not make the plan (I did). Overall a very unpleasant and nasty experience. With the exception of the very nice lady (Mrs. Ilser?? ) who checked in my luggage, none of the other 3 persons at the express and regular check-in spoke decent German or English, and none was helpful (Go there, wait!!!) Barely made the plane in MUC, Heathrow turned out much better than the touted German efficiency. Please forward to Lufthansa customer relations. Dr. W. Hartwig"
