In the end they took you on a bus-ride to domestic gate; need to climb a couple of narrow stairs (good luck for older people); the escalator next to it is set for descending only while the ground crew doing nothing. Then your plane are on the 7th queue for another 20 minutes. Food is mediocre, in flight entertainment suddenly went blank and resetting for several minutes."

Staff totally unprepared and untrained for such situations. We waited around for 6 hours before finding out on our own, that the flight was cancelled. The notice was not shown on the board. In all waited around at the airport for more than 10 hours before we were finally carted off to a small hotel near by at 1230am in the morning. Very little to no information given throughout the whole process, stranded with parched throats, no luggage, clean clothes or toothbrush."

We felt too intimidated to ask any more. Also our mileage points for this sector of our travel were not booked to our KrisFlyer accounts so wondering if she did not capture at check in."

And on top of that we paid too much to check in a bag when we arrived at the airline desk because we didn't include it through our Kayak booking. Had we known there was a method to follow, we would have to avoid the excessive fee."

Food was disgusting. Hard to determine where the plastic finished and the pasta started. There was no service, other than dumping a hot plastic box in your lap."

But when you do that at the price of alienating people, you've done them and yourself a disservice. Time to rethink!"

Boarding queue also merged with another flight departing at a similar time, causing a massive bottleneck. Whilst on board, pre-ordered food was not served with cutlery and it took another 15 mins to get the attn of the stewardess to get the cutlery served. Would have been faster to just get it myself."

Minusy: "Assigned seat 30A... This row shouldn't exist at all, though seatguru states that seat pitch is consistent at 29inch, it doesn't feel like that at all. When the seat infront reclined, it hit my knee... And i'm not tall just 1.7m. Then row 30 seats doesn't recline, the recline function is there but almost immediately you hit the bulkhead... Lastly, there was this male stewardess who is plain rude, i would be angry if he was a street hawker, let alone a flight attendant. He shouts at passengers to stop eating (some bread which they packed), it wasn't directed at me so i didn't quite bother. But a while after i upgraded to row 13 (exit row) and was snoozing, he came over, grabbed and tucked my arm and asked me the girl seated next to me to go back to our seats... When i asked "what do you mean go back to our seats? We paid for the upgrade." He walked away. The only saving grace is he came back 5-10mins later to apologise saying he didn't know we paid for the upgrade."

People were not given enough time to qeue in so that it actually didn’t matter where you sit coz it only caused chaos. The seats in the plane were ripped and would definitely require some maintanance. It was a late flight and the cabine crew seemed to have enough for that date so that the only smile you could get was when saying goodbye. However, they did the job in a proffessional manner."
Minusy: "We bought JetAir tickets because they were cheap. Thought we could get by with carry-on. But carry-on is only 7Kg, and that's like 15 lbs. Had to pay for check in the baggages and the extra weight came out to $65 to $80 extra per bag. When you add that back into the price of the ticket, then the ticket is comparable to a premium ticket. Plus, the service is so bad and they lost our luggage and gave us the runaround. Next time, we'll just pay the premium ticket with another airline and get better service and no run-arounds. So, the only cheap thing about this airline is the service. They nickle and dime you for everything, so you end up paying more and getting less. I've learned my lesson. Beware."

Minusy: "I don't even know where to begin as this was an endless nightmare from start to finish. I tried to check in online the day before for a flight from Phuket to Singapore without success. With the options offered, I decided to purchase a 20kg luggage fee for AUD31 apiece, meaning, with 2 bags to check, I would've paid AUD62. However, once I entered my credit card, it said an error occurred. After numerous tries with different credit cards, I gave up and asked the concierge at the hotel to contact the airline. She was told that I couldn't check in online because I didn't purchase the ticket directly from the website and that I should wait to check in at the airport counter. What does it matter? I decided to let go of this blatant discrimination. At the airport, I was told that I couldn't purchase the AUD31 that was offered to me online with no reasons given whatsoever. Instead for the 2 bags, I was quoted over BHT8200 (translation, USD 263) because each bag was 4 kg overweight. Without any recourse, I was forced to fork over a sinful amount or continue with our vacation without luggage. Already fuming at this highway robbery, I was aghast to find out onboard when I asked for water that it was going to cost me $4 a bottle. I wish I knew this airline better before I purchased the original ticket. I would've flown a different carrier. Lesson learned, never again will I fly JetSar Asia nor will I, in good conscience, recommend them to anyone. While I'm sure that there's a certain demographics that can fly this airline without being taken advantaged of (those flying without luggage for example), by and large, most travelers have luggage and will therefore get the short end of the stick in the end."

Some people lined up for the baggage drop off without getting boarding pass n luggage tags as they were new to travelling n just joined the queue."

Minusy: "- My attempt to upgrade my seat online resulted in my existing paid ticket being put on hold 'Pending Payment' which took nearly an hour to sort out. - Gate was change at the last minute from 5 to 2 sending everyone scrambling. - Once on the plane I was never offered water, coffee or a drink despite being seated in an upgraded seat in the front row. Passenger beside me was showered with attention though...i was essentially ignored. - Plane was nearly an hour late departing resulting in even further delays into Singapore circling waiting to get in the landing Q."
Plusy: "It’s a no-frills, budget airline. As such airlines go, this one is better than most. You won’t get any legroom and you’ll be nickel and dimes at every turn, but if you go into the experience with that understanding, you’ll have a reasonably comfortable, on-time flight without paying a lot of money."

Minusy: "First of all, when you book with Kayak, it does not specify that you have 0 (zero) kg included for luggages. At the airport, Jetstar wanted to charge me 1200$ usd for my luggages on a little 2h fligh. I had no choice but to agree on that and when i ask to pay, they asked me to wait for the credit card machine. We waited at least an hour and then they told us they only accept cash! 5 min to boarding and we had to left the luggages behind. I had to call hotel to get luggages back and ship them to us at cost of 1900$ usd. Once onboard, they only accept credit cards for purchases, what the hell is that! the worst airline ever! To top the story, they never sent the baby car seat as it was supposed to be included, it just disapeared! Hell to Jetstar!"

Plusy: "I learned what a low cost airline is. I traveled no problem in Eva air from Seoul to Taipei with 1 check in bag at 20kg and two carry on bags 10kg and 5kg. To my surprise Jetstar Asia requires you to purchase your check in separately from your ticket. Furthermore you can only carry on 7kg. I ended up having to pay 1400 TSD to check at 15kg. Then 600 TSD per kg after that because I had to check in two bags or I was over the 7kg allotted carry on. I ended up paying an extra $286 for bags. I will never ever ever purchase another ticket from this airlIne ever again."

The guy was shorter than me but felt the need to slide down in his seat to prod me in the back. Being a budget airline, many of the other passengers are families looking for a deal. Many of these families are burnt out and don't bother trying to rein in their toddlers at all anymore."

With Jetstar, I am just waiting for what BS will happen, so generally avoid them if at all possible- whether it is your bag being 1kg overweight, or they inform you your flight was delayed- when it wasn't causing missed flight, as happened recently- of course they have good customer service though- not- you will be lucky to even get a reply, and that is if you manage to email them because they keep their customer service email a secret....What a joke of an airline."

Because we only had less than 3 hours before our next flight left, they "provided" the service for us - to the tune of $180 for each person!!! Meanwhile, a likewise-stranded passenger from Australia apparently did not have to purchase another single-entry visa. We felt totally ripped off."
