Minusy: "I had a flight with a connection starting at 6 PM on a Monday. At 5 AM the day of the flight I received notification that the first flight would be delayed, making connection impossible, I was prompted to select another flight to arrive to my destination. I chose a flight with a connection staring at 7 PM. Upon getting on the first flight we began to prepare for takeoff. After about 30 minutes the pilot notified us that we would be delayed 40 minutes because we had nowhere to land at my connection airport. I realized at that point that I would possibly miss my connection, which was scheduled at 10:20 PM. However, I did arrive at the connection airport around 9:40 PM which would have given just enough time to arrive at the connection gate. Unfortunately, upon arrival to the connection airport the pilot informed us that we would have no gate to de-board the plane. The pilot stated that all connections "were aware of our delay" and gave us the gates for each connection. I got off the plane at 10:15 PM and ran to my connection gate arriving exactly at 10:20. The gate attendants informed me that my flight had left, my bags were on the way to my destination city and that I would need to spend the night in the connection city. The attendants, appeared disinterested and impolite but upon prompting provided us with a hotel voucher for the night. The next day we arrived at the airport 2 hours before boarding and waited at the gate. When it was near the time for departure we were informed that the plane had been downgraded and requests were made for some to give up their seats for a later flight or check carryon bags to make room for other passengers. While some lined up to give up their seats and bags, those who chose to remain on the original flight were forced to wait before boarding the plane. We were then told that we would have to wait until the pilot and crew arrived before boarding. Scheduled departure time was 5:46 PM but the time got pushed back until we boarded around 6:30, departure was rescheduled to 6:50 PM. We boarded the plane and waited for departure but a few minutes later the pilot informed us that "he just got here" and that there were mechanical problems that would cause further delay. After an hour we were informed that the plane was not able to fly and instructed to go to another gate for another plane. Departure time got rescheduled to 8:30 PM. The plane departed after 9 PM and arrived at 10:30 PM for a 5:46 PM scheduled departure."

The 50 minute ATC delay couldn't be controlled by LH, but the original equipment replacement was at the bottom of the overall delay. My "A" window seat in economy had significantly reduce foot space due to a metal box installed in the space. The seat was not particularly well designed, but it's economy so you get what you get. The food was average at best."

Minusy: "Travel in flight was good. Flight was missed due to delay in the airport and they made it clear that this was a bulk rate ticket and any rebooking was almost a favor on their part. That being said with some chatting to the service agent she softened up and started to be more helpful. Wish she could have been more helpful from the start and ended up being rerouted through another city despite a codeshare flight leaving directly to my final destination which would have been the normal switch. Oh well, those are the breaks with a bulk price ticket. Once in flight, service was very good and plenty of open seats, so room to stretch out."

Rather than pad the list with the likes of Boss Baby or Going out in Style or even a mediocre 60% offering in the Fast and Furious franchise. Wonderful crew, though, can't say enough about how polite and attentive they are."

Minusy: "I am only 158cm tall (5 feet 2 inches) and I had no leg room! My knees hit the seat in front of me. The seats were also so narrow that you could not change position at all, so it was very uncomfortable for a 8.5 hour flight. And I weigh less than 45 kg (100lbs). I can't imagine how anyone bigger than me felt. My seat was toward the back of the plane, and it took the crew over an hour to reach us once they started the drink and food carts. One time my row got entirely skipped for the drink cart, even though we were awake. This was a problem because they didn't come by for another 5.5 hours with more water/drinks, and they did not give us water bottles for that time period like Delta does. The food wasn't tasty, but it was eatable. The movie options were great, but that was all I could do on the screen because half of mine did not respond to touch, which meant no games and I could only select movies on the left half of my screen. Weird."

Minusy: "The seating on this aircraft is inadequate for a long flights. Tall people really suffer due to seat size and spacing. There was a 6"6" man of median weight for his height who was in the middle seat next to me and he could barely fit into his seat. It was not his fault, rather the unrealistic expectation that airline seats actually fit today's customer. Not only is there not enough leg room, but the width of the seat leaves no room for arms or shoulders. No one should have to ride 7-plus hours touching the shoulders of the passenger next to them! I used to prefer to fly on Lufthansa because their seating was more comfortable than other carriers, but I will try another airline next time."

I have siliver status on United and was told that there was no way to be considered for upgrade to different seat. I was told that the list was already full of higher priority customers. Yet at the same time the same employee announced those seats were available for purchase at $200 Euro for others. It seemed in both cases Lufthansa shuffled around passengers out of their selected seats for unknow reasons and also werent honoring frequent flier status programs for changing seats. Furthermore, the in seat entertainment did not work and it took quite a bit of effort including trying to move seats to get the flight attendants to reset the system (they said it would affect other customers who didnt have problems with their entertainment system). 8+hour flight is long flight to not have the system working. eventually the fixed it a couple of hours into the flight."

Minusy: "Delays in Nice led to a narrow window for connection. More than ten people were left behind - doors practically closed in our faces - and Lufthansa was wholly unhelpful in rescheduling flights. Lines to speak with agents were absurd and then attendants had to take breaks instead of resolve issues. There were no solutions offered, only poor communication and an unwillingness to accommodate a significant number of customers who were inconvenienced. Finally, a "random inspection" led to a handful of passengers being surveyed by the German local police. Interestingly, a number of us were Hispanic Americans. The whole experience was extremely negative."

The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Minusy: "Our two hour connection in Paris became 30 minutes because Air France was late in leaving Washington. So our luggage didn't make to to KLM to Amsterdam. My poor rating was because the luggage handling was really poor. Lots of flights from Paris to Amsterdam (almost hourly), but my bag showed up 12 hours later. My wife's bag took 36 hours. And yes, we checked in together. There were lots of confusing messages"

Food was also very mediocre (beef with chocolate sauce???) and many people in my flight were forced to check regulation carry ons for exorbitant fees. I would expect this kind of thing from a budget airline like Ryanair or something, but thought SAS could do better."

Minusy: "SAS like other airlines gives you a chance to bid on a nicer seat. If the offer is accepted, your card is charged the amount you bid and you are upgraded. If your offer is not accepted, you keep your seat and are not charged for bidding. I placed a bid for a nicer seat and was informed the day before the flight that my bid was rejected. But when the plane was boarding, I went to the man at the desk and asked if the plane was full. He informed me that it was not, and that I could pay roughly $300 for economy plus, or $1000 for business class. Online, I was ALLOWED to bid $200 for the economy plus seat. If they are going to reject this offer and then have the seat fly empty, they are a bunch of dicks. They had a chance for me to be a happier customer and to make more money. Now they lost both. What was also terrible is that when I family with an infant was moved up a few seats, I suggested to the lady next to me who wanted the newly vacant aisle seat that she ask the flight attendant for it. The flight attendant said it was fine. As the lady sitting next to me went to her her new seat, and old man from a few rows up took it. Another flight attendant had promised it to him. So, now the two of us are crammed, she's pissed that the seat she said she could have she couldn't, and I'm there like "My god, they wouldn't even take my money to let me have a nicer, EMPTY, seat." Poor communication, poorly run. Try another airline."

J had two hours between flights and because of total mismanagement in immigration I missed my flight to atlanta. Totally unacceptable. I might not even get on the ten pm flight."

Minusy: "Bad food Bad service Dirty plane Bad choice of movie collection You only get one glas of non alcoholic drink with your main meal. If you want more you have to pay ! Thats not a good service for a long trip fligt: washington-copenhagen and back. All other Airlines i have been with gives you a choice to choose between 2 different meals, buT SAS they decide for you ! And i have never seen any airline serve pork/ ham because of different believes people have, but SAS service you pork on an international 8 hours flight ! This is first time and last time I’m gonna fly with SAS. I always fly with KLM , perfect in everything and anyway. NO MORE SAS FOR ME !"

Not bad in and of itself but they only gave me a few hours notice that my flight was changed (email sent at 1 AM on a 7 AM flight) and I lost my already paid for upgrade to premium economy. They couldn't find any record of me having purchased an upgrade when I went to check in on my 5+ hour flight."

Minusy: "Almost absent crew And almost no service. Made flight with United and with United connection. SAS lost my connection, told ME I canceled my reservation. What a mess that was! I could also not reserve any seats online because flight was partner united flight and neither airline would allow me to choose seats."

Boarding the plane in Stockholm was one of the most unorganized setups I've ever witnessed. Something so simple was made so complicated. Second, their seat recliners go so far back that you barely have space in front of you and can barely see your tv screen. On my previous flight I was in a row where there was no one in front of us so I didn't get to experience the recliner situation. Passengers on the plane were getting into fights. So bad."

I missed flight back from Athens because a ferry delay from Santorini despite calling SAS being updated of my delay. When I arrived to Athens airport, SAS staff left and KAYAK was not supportive. My tickets were cancelled from Athens to IAD."

Minusy: "it all started at Boarding..... long lines with no access for premium passengers to board. get to Aircraft and no greeting......Late /Delayed Departure which caused a HELL of a Trip including missed connections in IAD and Sleeping in the Airport till that next day! my 16 hour trip back home turned into 37 Hours.........Cabin Crew not so friendly and in a rush! I was surprised, normally they are always pleasant and smiling."

Minusy: "Could not even PAY for an upgrade due to a meal request, even though I brought my own food - and would waive the meal request. Inedible vegetarian meals in flight. Earbuds didn't work. At least I had my own to use. Plane became stifling warm mid-way. Friendly flight crew does not make up for the terrible gate experience and inflight discomfort. SAS cares about profits not passengers. Plan to take another airline on future flights to Europe."

Minusy: "The inability to easily view and choose a special meal is a recurrent issue with SAS - even when contacting the airline directly to rectify this issue, the ball was dropped on the return flight, and the crew scrambled to find a replacement meal. On-line boarding continues to be an issue for Green Card holders returning to the US - why not explain that one cannot pre-print boarding passes and instead must go to boarding pass issues-line as soon as one enters the airport."

Plusy: "It was the only non-stop flight for our needs. Timing was great too. It was nice to have 2 seats to ourselves."
Minusy: "Going over our flight was cancelled at the last minute. We paid more for a non-stop flight we did not receive, lost wages because we both worked half-days to accommodate this flight departure time, and lost half a day of our trip. When we did fly on SAS to return, I found the service and amenities lacking. Why serve drinks well before your meal time and then not come back through with drinks again? Overall, it was not the best flight experience."

Plusy: "There seemed to be a little more leg room on this flight compared to the flight from IAD to CPH on 6/26/16."
Minusy: "The movie choices weren't nearly as good as the flight from IAD to CPH on 6/26/16."

Minusy: "I arrived in Copenhagen with no ticket. I was unable to print my connecting ticket in Gdansk and the woman at the SAS counter in Gdasnk could not help me either. When I landed in Copenhagen, I had several hours before the next flight. I went through immigration and went to the SAS counter where my gate was. Woman told me I could not print the ticket there until an hour before the flight, but if I wanted to go back through immigration, I could get it printed there. I opted to just wait. One hour before the flight there was a huge line of people like me who had not tickets. I stood for about 30 minutes until I finally got it. Then flight was delayed an hour... Everyone was really nice and the flight was enjoyable, I just don't get what the heck is up with their ticketing system. Why can't I print a ticket at any SAS counter with printing capabilities? Why doesn't the phone app work? Why can I print connecting flights at kiosk?"
