"Sat on ground at Lax for 40 min after landing because some one was at our gate. After a 3 1/2 hour flight it sucks to just sit there and wait for no reason that the pilot could give us. So much for ever getting out of the airport on time."

"I had an expired ticket for a free drink from the team. it expired during the pandemic. I purchased a drink when i think it would have been really sweet for them to honor it. Between trying to be safe and travel when i felt comfortable, I missed the deadline. It would be different it we hadn't been locked down all year. Just felt like if there was a time to be nice that was it and the stewardess mussed it. All good."

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Boarding selection protocol seemed opaque, complex, and geared towards inviting us to pay extra for priority boarding. Before boarding the plane, we were not able to find out whether any food would be served and the extent of what might be provided. After getting on board, we were offered the chance to buy food. The complementary food was a cookie and a few ounces of soda or juice. Movies were available, but not headphones for listening to them. Leg space under the seat in front of us was reduced to make room for life vests."

Minusy: "My wife needed a wheelchair at arrival at ORD. Although 5 people needed wheelchairs only 2 were available! Then no one from Prospect was there to push them. We were at the farthest International Airport gate M20. After 10 minutes one "pusher" arrived and moved my wife to the bottom of the ramp, approximately 100 feet and left her sitting in the corridor unattended. Although I had 2 Rolla boards I had to push her the full distance to Immigration and Customs. Our bags were sitting on a stationary baggage conveyor, the last from our American Airline flight. It wasn't until we're were ready to leave Customs that 4 people from "Prospect" asked if they could help, saying that they were SORRY!! They had just been standing around. A year ago I had the exact same thing happen to me from gate M1 and my wife had to push me the full distance. BTW, I 'm 71 and my wife is 68."

Minusy: "Kayak messed up royally by saying this flight was an Iberian. We went to the Iberian terminal as the email I received said the flight was an Iberian. After waiting on line for twenty minutes we were informed that this changed to an American Airlines/ British airways flight. We had to AirTran to the next terminal and almost missed the flight. Kayak needs to keep their customers better informed."

Plusy: "Everything was great on the flight from the boarding to the service of all the staff before during and after the flight. The only major issue I had was once I arrived in Honolulu my luggage was damaged. I should’ve filed a claim while at the airport at the time but didn’t realize it until I got to the hotel."
Minusy: "I would highly suggest that you do a better job of luggage and baggage handling. This is the second time I’ve had luggage damage on American Airlines flight."

Minusy: "Employees seemed like they didn’t like working for American. Flight was delayed and nobody informed us about it until it was past the past the boarding time. Missed connecting flight and booked on flight 5 hours past original departure time. Sat in an aisle seat and stewardess kept bumping my arms."

Minusy: "We hot there in plenty of time for our 7 am flight and were bumped to a 12.30 pm flght. When we returned to book in we were being accused of missing our flight. Finally got vhecked in what a pain"

Minusy: "I was unable to choose my seat, so my boyfriend and I had to fly cross country on opposite ends of the plane. There was a stewardess named Karen who was so rude. She clearly was not happy to be working, never smiled, and banged on the bathroom door while I was peeing because I was "not allowed to miss the instruction video." Had I not seen it a few hours earlier, I would have waited to use the restroom. Good thing they showed the same video three times in a row."

Plusy: "Our family was spread over the aircraft and American Airlines seated us together! The food and inflight movie were great! It was an excellent experience."
Minusy: "Was a bit difficult to book through Kayak. I then had to call American Airlines for everything else, and next time I'll do that instead."

Minusy: "The leg room for seats were horrible especially anyone passed 5 ft 7in."

Minusy: "The space and seats were uncomfortable. The seat my husband was sitting in (30A window seat), the touch screen seemed to have some technical issues, for it did not recognize when you touch the screen. It was a bit frustrating trying to select entertainment. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane, therefore almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport service desks and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive."

Plusy: "Was up to standard for everything. nothinf lacking, not exceptional"

Plusy: "honestly, all I can say is that I like that I arrived...? eventually? four and a half hours later than we were promised, despite the beautiful weather?"
Minusy: "I didn't like that American Airlines had not staffed our flight, so we waited for 4.5 hours for a flight attendant who would be able to complete the flight crew so we could leave. They kept delaying the flight, 5 minutes at a time, for 4.5 hours. It flew out of LGA, it was a 9pm flight. The airport food sources were closed, and AA kept us until 1am-- no food, no internet, and, because LGA has terrible cell reception, no phone service. Once we got on the plane, everyone was really hungry, and the plane had no snacks. No entertainment because the TV system was broken. It was just a miserable experience. I regret trying to save $20 by booking that flight. I have had nothing but terrile experiences on American Airlines-- NEVER AGAIN."

Minusy: "Having to pay for luggage under the plane. I booked my flight 3 months in advance to sit with my wife and we got switched, fortunately I asked the man next to her to trade me seats. I ve flown to Managua about 7 or 8 times with American Airlines and this was my least favorite flight. People take up the space in the overhead compartments above my seat almost all the time then there is no space for mine."

Minusy: "AA failed to allow me to check in at initial arrival in Grande Prairie airport so I had to rush to get a boarding pass in Calgary where the AA agent told me it was not an AA problem and sent me back to WestJet. WestJet discovered that it was an AA problem and returned me to the AA counter where it was resolved. Then I had to rush to catch the flight and missed any opportunity to have a decent lunch between flights. Then there was no food offered on the AA flight to Dallas."

The TV in my seat was broken and I therefore could not at all watch TV unless I moved to another seat. I ended up not being able to sit with my friends for the entire seven-hour flight. The flight was delayed multiple times. The first time it was delayed because they were doing an extra security search by hand in the Gated area awaiting to board the plane. I have never seen this in my life and it was definitely started. Then we were on board the plane for almost an hour before they made an announcement that they found a broken part on the plane and had to switch planes. It was all very fishy. Quite frankly that I want my money back."
