Fastidiously weighing and forcing mutiple repacks of carry-on bags even though well under total limit of checked & carry. (Doha agent told me dfferent rules appied for carrry on 2nd plane even though I asked specifically frm original agent who checked me thru to final dest--insisted I check main carry on even though there turned out to be plenty of overhead room on board). Poor coordination of checkin lines, security lanes, and flow of people -- all fixable with a little forethought, engineering, and better utilization of circulation space -- and much clearer communication!"

My disturbance with what I experience as sexist, worsened each time I saw this. Luckily I learnt how to fast forward, but the sexism of this left me disturbed. so although in reality much of your service is excellent, this advertising of a sexist world view was too disturbing to ignore. I hope my comments are helpful to you in considering that many women in the world now expect their fathers to consider passing on a fair share of their resources to their daughters as well."

Plusy: "I have flown Turkish Air many times since 2010, and used to like the airline. Not so much anymore. I would say their entertainment center and food are pretty good."
Minusy: "They used to have an affordable Economy Premium option, now all they have are seats made for someone 5’5” 150 pounds. Anyone over 6’ can and will suffer greatly. I’m 6’4” and fly many of their 12 hour flights from LAX to Istanbul and have to sit sideways, until my back aches so bad I have to turn. They also keep their planes unbearably hot, which I have no idea why, making the trip in that cramped seat horrible. Their in between meals snacks consist of cheese sandwiches, and the attendants never come around with drinks or snacks. I also fly Singapore Air and Emirates and their service is subperb!"

The Turkish Airline staff informed us that we would have to wait 24 hours, purchase a hotel at our own expense, and acquire a Turkish visa, also at our own expense. When my husband asked to speak to a manager, it took 45 minutes before a staff member offered us another flight that arrived only a few hours later. All other staff members were on their personal cell phones and would not answer our questions. By the time our boarding passes we’re printed (an hour later)we had to run to our gate in order to make our flight. This left us no time to contact our driver who was picking us up and let him know when our next flight was arriving. We’re extremely disappointed in the customer service and appalled at the lack of professionalism."

Minusy: "gate was announced at the last minute, and within 5 or 10 minutes of the announcement, the plane was boarding. the boarding process was not handled well. the entire hallway leading to several gates was blocked off for checking boarding passes and passports. it was not at all clear what was going on. no explanations were offered, and there was a huge crowd stuck in the hallway."

Minusy: "I have been told at the airport that I had an unconfirmed flight and was told that I could not travel to Istanbul. I am still at my departure city, in Chicago. I bought my tickets just like anybody would, go on the website, pick the flights and pay. But someone did not do their job correctly and did not correctly confirm my flight. I paid for this incompetence by missing Christmas and a business meeting. Do not think it will never happen to you, it is just a matter of time that this kind of bad service catches up to you. The system is so disconnected or careless that it can't even figure out I couldn't take the flight which it is is asking me a review for."

Minusy: "Flight was late leaving Nairobi due to a catering issue. Missed connection through Istanbul to Manchester. Placed on AF flight to Paris then Manchester. Paris flight was delayed. Missed connection to Manchester. Paid for my own hotel room overnight in Paris CDG. Flight will arrive a day late in Manchester. That means I have missed my flights from Manchester to UK with Air Lingus (booked through Kayak website) It seems I must now purchase a new ticket to get home from Manchester to Nashville. All expenses I can ill afford. Lesson learned...cannot afford to use Kayak anymore...sorry."

Minusy: "We were traveling with our 1 year old. On any other flight, we've been given seats with extra legroom and a bassinet when available. Turkish airlines put us crammed in a window and middle seat for a 9 hour flight. It was absolutely un-doable. Everyone around us realized this and tried to help as we asked the flight attendant to help us and she said that I should ask other people to move around not her. We had to go around the plane begging people who were sitting with a bassinet and no baby to trade seats with us. It was an absolutely horrible experience. It was the airline's mistake, and we were the ones forced to try to fix it. Yes, we got a bassinet eventually, but not before we saw how mean and selfish other passengers could be pretending not to hear us and ignoring us. And no help from the crew."

Minusy: "We missed the flight for teasons totally outside our control. We were stuck at Borg El Arab Airport gate for over an hour and therefore missed our flight. Turkish reps weren't helpful at all and wouldn't try to find a solution for us!! We had to book new tickets with Egyptair. I don't believe we'll be flying Turkish again."

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

A lot of the passengers were disappointed ."

In fact, when purchasing it said that information about baggage was not available.Shocked to have to pay 50 dollars for one bag. I am member of Flying Blue. One bag has always been included in the price of a ticket flying transatlantic."

As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

Plusy: "so, due to my nervousness and being upset so much so that I wanted to get off the plane, the crew let me sit in business next to a friend and the pilot and crew went to extreme lengths to make me feel safe and unafraid. The pilot answered all my questions and constantly checked that I was ok. Once we took off, despite cloudy rainy snowy skies, this turned out to be the best smoothest flight ever once it departed, and the pilot was probably the best ever I experienced on Egypt Air, and many other airlines actually. Shout out to a fantastic crew stewardess (Olfat Younis) and amazing pilot!! A really great experience"
Minusy: "During pre-flight checks the plane had a technical problem that needed fixing just as about to taxi to runway, so had to sit and wait 2 hours for repair which made me extremely nervous and worried"
