Went to the wrong gate for my connecting flight, Turkish air rep at the gate checked my boarding pass, didn't say a word about me being at the wrong gate. Tgere was no announcement of any kind (found out later, Turkish sir doesn't do announcement at the Istanbul airport. No clue as to why). Thought, tgere was another delay and by the time I asked, it was too late to catch my flight and that's when I got a full dose of every single person w Turkish air trying to stiff me with the most outrageous penalty for changing Nguyen my ticket. Started out at $1114 on a $758 ticket, then went down to $925 and if I stay over night, down to $750. Seriously? Rude, talking down at me and telling me that if I don't pay the penalty, my return ticket will be cancelled. I keep getting bounced from one person to another being told to wait here and wait there then I finally got so sick of all of it, bought a new connecting flight online, spending the night in Istanbul and will see what will happen w my return flight to the US. I call this 'theft' as, if i buy an entire new ticket from Istanbul to Cairo then back to the US online, it will cost me less than the penalty they're trying to get me to pay. Shame on you Turkish airline!! You'd think w all the issues they're having w tourism in their country these days they'd care about not doing this kind of mistreatment of their clients."

Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."

Then there was no sign for where we should go since upper deck on 747 so we went in "economy" line as indicated on ticket and then was sent to correct line when we got to the front, wasting more time. The seatrs were the most uncomfortable I have ever beeon on for a long flight. I also paid extra to be in the exit row, to have people constantly congregating in front of us."

Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

Plusy: "We got to the desk to check in and there was one person being served in front of us. He finished with him, turned and left the area through the dooor. No one came to help us for 15 minutes. Then they came out to answer the phone and said we were 10 minutes past the cut off and we could not fly."
Minusy: "Staff just walked away while we were in line, the rudeness and mean attitude, they blamed us for being too late after ignoring us and made us late, they didn't offer an alternative flight until we asked. Overall, horrible customer service. Never been treated so rudely by people in the airlines industry in my entire 42 years of flying!"

At some point a flight attendant even tried to touch my dog, invading my personal space. When the dog rightfully acted defensive trying to protect me, the crew member started threatening me that he would have the dog sent to cargo, the last thing a person with an emotional support pet wants to hear. Extreme lack of professionalism."

Minusy: "They lost my luggage and have no information as to where it is. It has been 3 days and no Information. There was only one meal for the flight and alcoholic beverages were not included."

Minusy: "People may think,that the delay of the flight has set my mood for this review but I can ensure it has most definitely not. With all the bad weather, I was already very happy to connect right on time in Paris. However, a long haul A380 flight with such a tight seat configurstion is almost embarrassing for an airline. The in flight entertainment is at a very poor level, not only with the screen being very small and outdated, many of the movies are only available in French and the international selection very limited. The food was not much of a delight, whereas the presentation was nice. However, in all the 7 h between the services, nobody came around with refreshments in a completely booked flight, neither was announced that a trolly would be set for self service in the galley. Lucky the ones who got up and found out about. In terms of amenities, again, the airline is lacking of originality and saves cost. Bottom line: you get from A to B, but there are so many better competitors in the market, which I shall definitely consider on my next travel."

Minusy: "Initially the flight from Lima was delayed for almost 1:30 and then we lost this connection then Airfrance rebooking to SAS they tell us to take all our luggage’s and check in again it’s was awful and really bad from then walk and spend time we suppose to be quite at home ... the worst was in SAS have ano system and for 1.5 kilos extras you might pay 33€ so after long day and wait, running everywhere with all my staff I see to eat a 11€ menu at the airport with not more explanation from Airfrance .. really bad and worst services.."

Plusy: "I missed flight. Rescheduled this morning 4229 when I went to bed. Today, there is no record of the flight. I have a screen print showing the seat assignment. The 1-800 said it will call back in 4 hours. Crap! Flight scheduled in two hours."

Plusy: "The entertainment choice on AA and the in flight wifi are super! The flight attendants were impeccable."
Minusy: "My flight was supposed to be on May 26 but I got bumped! The counter at Lax was completely UNDERSTAFFED! At one time the three customer service representatives were stuck with ‘difficult cases’ for over 20 minutes - the line did not move AT ALL! With roughly 75 passengers in line this is unacceptable. I sprang into action and demanded quicker service from the supervisor Seth telling him that people are going to miss their flights. He showed no people skills and decided to be confrontative, inquiring since when I was in line and telling me that I should have come earlier; he did admit that he was understaffed that day but could not do anything about it. After having waiting in line for 1 hour it took the representative too long to check out my Covid Test done by the company AA partnered with - and because of a missing ‘entry registration’ and the use of my married name on the Covid Test instead of my maiden name on my passport ( I had documentation to prove the validity of both names) I stood no chance to rectify any of it as the cut off time for the flight had approached. Instead I was issued a ticket for the next day. No smile, no empathy - I really felt treated like cattle...When I came to the same counter the next day the wait to see a customer service representative was 10 minutes!!!! Which proves my point that they were completely understaffed on May 26! And I had to get a hotel at LAX! On the flight on the 27 May I found the breakfast on board to be very disappointing: no bread, no deli meat and no cheese but yoghurt instead."

Plusy: "I used frequent flyer miles for the tickets."
Minusy: "The crew was late getting to the gate. All of them talked to me like I was a child they were disappointed in. No one smiled. I thought all of the crew was mad at us for using their airline."

Minusy: "Upgraded to premium. Only offered cookes and drinks. Screens weren’t working for 5 hour flight."

Minusy: "We boarded on time then Pilot announced that they were working in the plane so we sat at the gate 90 minutes with no air conditioning. I would have much preferred to have been in terminal while waiting for maintenance to repair aircraft"

Minusy: "My entertainment unit didn't work, the sound was muffled and the image quality and touch screen very poor. I sat in the last row and couldn't recline my seat. The dinner was okay, with a red wine that was very sour. Breakfast was a joke and so sweet I couldn't eat it."

Plusy: "Easy. Efficient. Crew follows regulations and applies rules fairly and firmly."
Minusy: "Signage unclear no ticket less check-in cpfisong announcers are rude in person and inaudible over PA system."

Plusy: "On time. Was able to sleep through much of what was likely an annoying flight because there was no personal entertainment--the tiny screens overhead would have been impossible to see and they were showing a movie that was lame. It seemed anachronistic."
Minusy: "At the Lima gate they made each passenger open their carryon and submit to a secondary inspection to confiscate all water we bought past security. No warning was given about this. I had paid airport prices for water to bring onto the plane and then had to surrender it at the gate. Of course in economy class they will not give you water or attention until you are at cruising altitude. More than one flight attendant did not smile and one was actually rude in spite of my attempts to be kind and smile. Except for one friendly person at check-in kiosk, bad service overall. They do not have personal entertainment systems, and it was like going back in time with the tiny screens you cannot see, playing a movie you either watch it or not."

Minusy: "We arrived in Amsterdam at 9am, after traveling two hours to get there. We found out right away that there was a delay and chances of missing the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Orlando were great. We requested a different booking to insure travel to Orlando, which was denied. So the connecting flight was missed and after hours arrived in Orlando at midnight. Missed my ride and all car rentals were booked. All this caused a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. Very disappointing. And to add to it, the flight itself was horrible and there was no entertainment available for the entire flight."

Minusy: "Disappointed with the "Hot Box" (Bean Burrito type) cold & never heated up but still served...unedible. Real shame - food just wasted...unnecessary and just adds to costs of flights at end of day :-/ Customs & Gate in Clt delay could have been handled better. Continuously told us we were deplaning and then silence...several times...very frustrating after 9 hour flight. Better communication and organization in customs would be appreciated Otherwise, crew was very polite and overall good job"

Minusy: "We were rushed onto the plane to sit on the tarmac. After waiting to take off for 45 minutes, we were told that our route had been closed and they were looking into other options. This was a flight from NYC to DC, route is closed? Once we finally got into the air, all was good."

Minusy: "I had an instant panic attack when our flight was delayed because a box cutter was found under a seat on the flight that just arrived. I get honesty, but I was seriously reconsidering getting on the plane, because what if they missed something? I was working out in my head what would happen to our pets if we died on this flight, because we don't have a will yet."

Plusy: "The access ramp lessen the risk of tripping over I've experienced with the steps in the past."
Minusy: "Corny jokes from the male cabin crew don't improve the flight in experience, we're crammed in like cattle and given a LTA meal and coffee."

Plusy: "That I at least had an aisle seat."
Minusy: "I used to fly USAir all the time. The service was excellent. Following the merger, not so much anymore. The seat was very cramped. So much so that I had trouble walking when I got off the plane, and I'm in pretty good shape. I used to get upgraded often with USAir. Now that I have 3 times the mileage built up, it never happens. This wasn't the worst American flight , however. I recently had the displeasure of flying on one of the new planes, and that seat was so upright, cramped, and hard, it was like being on Spirit! (And I refuse to get on their planes ever again) my entire body was sore and stiff after flying on the new AA jet."

Minusy: "You didn't get my bags to airport on time and so I missed my connecting flight which was 90 minutes after my previous flight, I have an 8 month old son and you made us spend another 4 hours waiting for a flight."

The old business class seats were very uncomfortable. Having no help from representatives to issue a boarding pass"

Minusy: "We should be able to watch a movies without having to pay for internet or the movie what else are they gonna take away ?"

Plusy: "The marvel of flying. Hurling through the air in a metal tubeZ amazing. We got there safe and on time. That’s what I liked about United. Oh and there was a CSR that was helpful in changing to an earlier flight."
Minusy: "Plane was dirty. Bathroom disgusting. Crew just trying to get through the work day. Seats too close and REAL uncomfortable. Like sitting on a plastic frame with a piece of fake leather over it. Entertainment was awful. Oh wait, non existent since it was an “out of country” flight so there was no access to movies (that you had to PAY for). Otherwise you got to watch Matthew Perry in some taxi game show over and over and over and over on a monitor in your face that couldn’t be shut off. United is my last choice in airlines. But we did get to the destination safe and on time."

Plusy: "From the start our trip was awesome. Everyone from the shuttle driver to the pilots to the ground crew the flight crew Etc were extremely friendly and very very helpful. I was traveling with a first-time flyer and he was impressed extremely impressed this is the second time this year that I've flown with United and I will continue to fly United thanks to all of you for help making this trip perfect"
