Plusy: "I liked the fact that the flight was on schedule in spite of the fact that one passenger seemed to cause a delay on forgetting to locate his passport from his own carry on ! I also liked the content shown on the screens as they juggled my ken a bit! Food was to taste despite the cabin pressure! The cabin crew were just amazing!"

Minusy: "Tried to book baggage and seats online for flight from Colombo to Sharjah but website wasn't working, so called their office in Colombo. Was told it was too late to book baggage so would have to pay more than double the regular charge. I explained repeatedly that I had tried to book it but the website was down but the lady on the phone completely ignored what I was saying. She then said I should have called them to report the problem - insinuating that it was somehow my fault that their website wasn't working. Quite an interesting twist on 'customer service' in a service industry company. Nothing in the email I received from them stated what to do should their waist fail; no number to call, no procedure, nothing. I had to take a 1-hour trip into the city to speak to them directly at their office. The lady there I spoke with simply made a few mouse clicks and the problem was solved. This of course begs the question of why that couldn't have been done over the phone. The lady on the phone put me on hold for over 10 minutes, clearly hoping that I would give up and hang up. Air Arabia should fire this person immediately as she has no business being in the customer service industry if she is going to be so insulting to a paying customer. As a member of the company she sheds a horrible and unprofessional light on it."

Minusy: "This plane was as old as me....I know it was an internal flight and these planes just go back and forth without any TLC inbetween. It's a business after all. Short 3.5 hour flight. The plane was so worn out, seat padding, there was was none, as it had seen better days, the covers were no longer covering the seats as the padding had disintegrated somewhere and were just hanging onto the seats for dear life!!!, it felt dirty and unkept, it smelled like an old toilet also. The fittings, trays where you could store your stuff was dirty also I didn't even eat the food, I was paranoid. Felt totally uncomfortable on this flight , sorry Air India but you need to have some standards on short flights despite what price you put on the seats. This was part of my long haul flight from Sydney to Mumbai which has marred my experience with you."

The food service schedule was odd, especially serving lunch at 2am for a flight that was going to land at 6:30am. Why wake up everyone ? Food was okay except the white bread, pretending to be a croissant filled with what looked like was unmelted butter. Entertainment system did not work at all. And the plane had no wifi or USB ports. If it was not so convenient as the only nonstop between Washington and Delhi, I would not fly this Airline."
Plusy: "Any full service airline is better than discount nickel and dime airlines. I was able to change my flight on Air India with a telephone call and no penalties. This was not true of my connecting Bangkok to Macau flight. They had absolutely no changes nor refund and the fares ended up to be high (just look at all of the stupid things discount carriers nickel and dime you for). My advice, stick to full service airlines like Air India as you spend less in the long run. Those budget carriers should be called "bait and switch" carriers as they bait you with low initial fares but then add on until the costs are almost twice what was advertized!"

Most of them were first time travelers. Curious ,anxious , innocent and slow learners ; I enjoyed helping them out with tinny tiny tech bits. The collection of Indian music , movies was good to , suiting to Indian taste ! And the food was good !"
Minusy: "Boarding the Air India New Delhi to San Francisco was one of the most adventurous experience for me! The Mumbai - New Delhi journey was short and sweet ! As the connecting time was around 2 hrs , I had to rush to board the next flight. The connecting bus to the airport made me wait for a long time and I reached the gate quite late after the boarding was over! And after all this drama where I rushed and ran through ,crossing the domestic airport ; there was a long queue for general security check. I ran to the immigration , rushed through the security check. And finally reached the gate. I forgot , I am pregnant ! I was told there , I will have to shift to another seat due to "emergency" exchange reason ! Oh gosh ! I felt , I deserve a round of applause for making it there and I was offered an exchange ! It's unbelievable, but the flight got delayed by 3 hours! Yes, you read it right , by three hours ! The crew members were not that prompt and welcoming ! The flight toilets weren't sufficiently equipped with the necessities. They was no hot water flowing through many taps, seat-covers were missing, even the basic toiletries were."

The staff /crew is very forgetful and needs to be reminded several times. They do not attend the toilets very regularly to check if they are clean. In total, the staff is very lazy and wet towels or tissue and other refreshment services are very limited. worst then some domestic flights I have traveled with."

On board meals hot and well balanced with the vegetarian meals well tuned to the Indian palate but likely to miss the mark for others. No alcohol."

Multiple efforts to update my travel for seat selection and meal preferences failed as I found out at the airport . Lack of robust entertainment and an older interface in flight with often broken USB ports make bringing your own entertainment and using it on a 15 hr flight challenging at best . No internet access available which for business travelers is a must today."

Minusy: "The very least thing you would expect on international travel is to kill your time watching movies or something on the screen in front of you especially when you travel 13+ hours non-stop. My screen wouldn't even start and when informed the crew multiple times all got is "ok" and nobody even bothered to comeback and check( even after pressing the flight attendant button multiple times). Trip felt very exhausting since all you can do is close your eyes and pretend you sleep or stare at seat in front of you. I am sure there are many broken systems and it may be ok for people who sleep through out their flight but such a shame that air India doesn't bother to check and fix their systems. Very disappointed since this is not the first time it happened, also happened on my way to India and the response I got from flight attendant is" there are hundred of seats empty"meaning to say go find a working screen myself. When you spend so much money to travel least you would expect is basic things and minimal courtesy. Somebody needs to fix their systems and train the crew better. Very disappointed that Air India didn't even bother to correct the issues they knew that were already at fault."

The flight attendants kept one lavatory locked for their own use. The food was mediocre,. The lavatories were not cleaned. I have been in many other carriers and the flight attendants maintained the lavatories. Flight attendants were not helpful with placing or locating spaces for carry on luggagess. No simple amenities provided like socks , earplugs, or eye cover like other airlines. The seats were falling apart, fabric was torn. I have to give credit to the person who assisted in issuing me a new booking due to a snag with name. However, I was placed in a different line after being issued a boarding pass without further explanation. Every other passenger in the same queue were perplexed like me . Air India badly needs to up their ante. Customer service is poor overall. Seriously makes me wonder how aircraft safety and maintenance is performed."

Minusy: "I had the worst possible experience flying Air India back from Delhi to NY. I was at the Delhi airport, cleared all the different levels of security and was provided with my boarding pass. After which I went to the gate looking for a seat during which time it was announced that the flight has been delayed by a few hours. I arrived at the gate and there was no more seats left, so I decided to go sit right outside the gate as I did not want to stand for 3 hours especially since I was unwell and was taking antibiotics for my severe cold and sore throat. I sat down on a reclining chair right outside the gate during which time Air India apparently preponed the flight and apparently announced my name on the loud speaker. I say apparently because I do not know if I possibly dosed off fora few minutes or this actually happened. The reason I say this is because after I missed my flight and went to the counter, the representative and even the manager repeatedly told me that the flight was never delayed. When, with a strong voice, I told them that how can they lie about that they apologized and said yes the flight has been delayed. The fact that hey can lie to my face makes me believe that they did not even announce my name. Furthermore, after they announced my name they even had time to unload my baggage from the flight. If they had time to do all of that, they they should have continuously announced my name. I was right outside the gate, I would have heard it! After all this, they refused to put me on the next flight. They said the next one available was in 4 days and would cost me $1,100! I had to run around at 3am in the airport trying to figure out how to get back home while I was sick! They refused to help me in any way. DO NOT FLY AIR INDIA, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!! How can you leave a passenger who has a stamped boarding pass and is sitting right outside the allotted gate! Did they expect me to stand outside the gate for 3 hours at 1am if their were no seats available there!"

Minusy: "There were many problems I faced in the flight mentioned below:- 1) firstly at the time of boarding the staff changed the seats for me and my wife which we had opted at the time of web check in. 2) After getting into flight I noticed the plane was very old and the seats were broken also. 3) very less movies collection. 4) the touchscreen were not at all working . 5) no charging port , it was broken . Not even USB port was there. 6) very bad food service. They just forgot to serve the drinks and meals at a correct interval of time."

I asked the crew a number of times to get me immigration form at the time of landing in India, they did not get me. They distributed on one side of the isle. One of the crew members said that we do not need it. When I landed at Mumbai airport, the first thing they asked was immigration form. The staff should be trained properly. 3. The TVs are outdated. They should be replaced with latest world class models. 4. While coming back from New Delhi, we were not served any food for 8 hours continuously. There were no snacks, sandwiches, peanuts or chips. I asked a crew member for peanuts and he said that they do not have."

Minusy: "Baggage restrictions cost travelers $100s of dollars if India is only a stopover when visiting other near countries. One light check in was all that was allowed. Our group was on a medical mission and had to have a bag for our clothes and one for medical supplies. It cost over $800 for 6 of us to have the medical come with us to Nepal. As humanitarian volunteers, that money comes out of our pickets. There is no reimbursement from the sponsoring charitable foundation. We could check both bags for free from the US to Nepal, but because we had to have a layover in India, Air India charged for one of the bags. There was no other airline option available to avoid this cost."
Plusy: "I travelled business class but did not get the service I expected . To be more precise : 1. I would expect the crew to help me keep my luccases on the over head cabins . Crew should come forward to extend help rather passenger asking crew 2. I would expect some more items added to beverages . Passengers who take tea should be given the option to select green tea too 3. The business seats have bottle compartments for water bottle which should be continuously be filled up with new bottles once it empty All the above are minor improvements which when added can make the travel more happier"
Plusy: "The only good thing is that this is a direct flight! - The airline host/hostess staff were okay to deal with - The boarding process was okay too, similar to other airlines - The Delhi airport that we flew out of is a major improvement over the past ones"
Minusy: "1. The comfort and ambiance is poor. The plastic on tray tables on my seat was broken and dirty. 2 The seat cushion is thin and feels like sitting directly on a board. I had a pain my back. Not sure of why can such a major airline out of India not try to spend back a little money to improve the comfort. 3. The space was also a pain point, when you are travelling such a long leg of flight, a little bit more space is always helpful... I think this airline has the least space among the ones I traveled with. 4. India is a country of amazing culinary experience and the food here was worse than the hostel. THIS PART WAS JUST A SHAME!"

Minusy: "1. Nobody checked for handphone usage AFTER broadcasting that handphones should be switched off or on flight mode. The passenger sitting next to me (and some others sitting elsewhere) kept talking on the phone. 2. During the flight, one of the overhead storage was opened (obviously by someone without closing it) for at least 15 minutes without being noticed by the crew. Not even when the air-stewardesses inching forward to serve food towards the storage. Only when they were right underneath it did one notice in surprise and close it. 3. Quite a lot of the entertainment systems were either not working properly or broken."

Some of them were elderly coming from Umra on connecting flight and air hostesses were almost screaming at them. Shame Emirate Shame."

Minusy: "One of the worst flight experience I have had. both website and boarding pass say go to terminal 2 but flight is actually from terminal 3.no offer of assistance, no offer of how to get to terminal 3 . Rude ground staff with zero ability to manage the complaint process."
Plusy: "Was given a vegan sandwich, told crew member I didn't want it, wasn't offered another type."
Minusy: "Cramped, after paying for onboard wifi they didn't start it until in the air, and shut it off before landing.. it took time to taxi, and get off the plane and I couldn't make calls or contact ppl. TV monitor didn't work"

Minusy: "The plane was very old with no padding in the seats. You could feel the back of the seat grinding into your back. Everything, including water, had a price tag, unless your flight originated from an international previous flight. During the four hour flight there was no entertainment available, wi fi was expensive, and flight attendants were practically non existent. Water......, a plain bottle of water, cost $2.00! I had to beg for a paltry cup of water that supposedly came with my flight. Fly Dubai is nothing near the service and reputation of Emerites. Other connecting airlines to Nepal are much better."

But I got surprised when flying back from Delhi, ground staff told me to board with Fly Dubai instead of Emirates. Why I wasn't got notified while booking the flight that there will be multiple airlines flight?"

Minusy: "Crew was late and unorganized in both Amman and Dubai. Entertainment system onboard did not work. Touch screen was inoperable. We waited on the tarmac shuttle nearly 15minutes because plane wasn't clean. Check-in line was ridiculously long and only one person working. Boarding zones we're ignored a crew member just yelled the name of the flight to signal boarding."

Minusy: "I was NOT impressed with this airline. I have never been on a transcontinental flight that did not provide on board entertainment or food. I thought the absence of both was ridiculous. Plus I went to try to read the news option- which was actually free and the papers were from 2014!!!! WTH?!There is no room to put everything- no pouch in the seat ahead of you so nowhere to put the food or drink that you have to bring on board or any of your travel things. I have no idea why. The FlyDubai terminal in Dubai is also quite lacking- I felt like I was trapped in crappy restaurant. I'm not certain that I will ever use use this airline again- not impressed."

Minusy: "We stood on a bus for 15+ minutes waiting to board. We boarded, crowded plane with small space, and now my luggage is lost. I paid a lot of money for my business class ticket on Emirates only to have a second flight that was terrible in every way. No one seems to care where my bag may be- I am trekking in 2 days and I have NOTHING to use!! I’ve called every number I can find and emailed fly dubai- each person had shown very little care and not one person can even tell me if my bag left Dallas. Unreal."

Plusy: "40 me on the flight knowing that that my connecting flight was cancelled stayed in Dubai for a day and a half without anyone helping me because I did not fly with Emirates to Alexandria horrible service customer service no one held I would never fly with this company ever again. Minusy: "You have to even pay for a bottle of water. No food. No curtesy. Made a man pay for giving his seat to someone else. Would not let him sit in the bulkhead seat without paying EXTRA. Even business/first class had to PAY FOR FOOD!!! I regret having chosen that group of Emirates and FlyDubai. Do yourself a favor and stick to Qatar Air."
Minusy: "The staff was extremely rude and held up the boarding of the flight by shuffling passengers around for an extended period of time. check in for the flight took over two hours and there were less than 15 people ahead of me. Won't ever fly with flydubai again."

Minusy: "This is second time I land in zone B, terminals F. The worst terminals and airport treatment by the staff ever. You can never get a complete answer or help, staff most don't care about your concern. No help can be assisted in any way possible. Few of the staff are professionals and know what their job is, others not at all. Bathrooms are disgusting, I have 12 hour layover, to sit in a lounge I need to pay 120$ , just to sit on a proper chair. In short you have money they welcome you, you don't , too bad find your way they don't care. Very over rated airport. Should be considered one of the worst, or maybe this terminal is made for unnecessary people, when their entrance phrase clearly states Dubai connecting the world. Connecting nothing. Simple money transfer isn't available, in case of emergency you need money, too bad sit yourself down and do nothing. Once again very over rated, and I will publish my review in all travel guides."

Plusy: "The terminal we were waiting in, not organised well, very messy, smelling very bad except in lounge that Cost 40$ for 2 hours with discount. So I'm having a layover 12 hours, I pay 240$ just I can sit in a non smelling place and eat some food. Adjust some of these and would be great. Other terminals have so much to offer in same airport, over rated Dubai airport."
Minusy: "Delayed for nearly 4 hours, no reason given, no staff visible to talk to, nothing offered to us."

Plusy: "The only thing I liked about this airline was the flight they had available the day I needed it, and the price was reasonable. But the flight was oversold, so I wasnt able to take it anyways."
Minusy: "Fly Dubai check in at Dubai Airport is run by non-employees. My wife and I waited 1.5 hours in line. The staff helps other customers who are late for their flight cut in front of the line, and therefore make everyone else late for their flight. We finally arrive to the front and are told our flight has been oversold, and that it is full. We asked to be put on another flight and they said the next ones leave tomorrow. We were told we had to go wait in another line to arrange a flight or refund. We waited in that line for almost 1 hour, and the employee gave us an email address written on a post it note, and said if we wanted a refund to email them. Just an awful airline. Some other passengers wanted the flight the next day and Fly Dubai offered them a hotel for the night but said the hotel is full. The airline has an awful check in system, awful customer service, and has yet to offer us a refund, or even reply to the email we sent them six days ago. Regardless of their ticket price I will never fly with this airline ever again."

Minusy: "Both of my flights were delayed, and in both situations no one would tell anyone what was going on. Leaving passengers in the dark about their travels is a terrible experience."
