Plusy: "Everything about my flights on Virgin Atlantic was amazing. The plane was new and comfortable, the seats seemed to recline more than in other airplane I have been. The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!"
Minusy: "The only thing I would improve is the main dish in the meal. I loved all the small sides like the Boursin and crackers but I found the main meal a little bland l."

Minusy: "I paid extra for Economy Delight seats for me and my wife. Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

I got to the airport very early to get a good seat only to be that and was given a very uncomfortable seat where I couldn't stretch my legs well because of a box on the floor situated to my left leg and to make the matter even more annoying my screen was not working which I was forced to take one heavy meant-so-called laptop. And finally cabin crew were lacking serious customer service and when u ask for something they were just so reluctant to deliver as if we were given a free ticket or something. May it be noted that my ticket was not that cheap to be treated in such manner."

Minusy: "I booked together with my wife, yet we were allocated seats apart and were not able to be reassigned together. The leg room was so tight that I could not pick up things off the floor without putting my head in the next persons lap. Though the cabin crew were smiley and friendly, it was hard to get their attention when needed. The PA system is much louder than the entertainment, so announcements were ear bursting. The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."

Plusy: "We really enjoyed flying with Virgin and so made sure we booked into a Virgin flight for this trip and not delta. The food was good, entertainment good when it worked."
Minusy: "We got told that our flight number had changed from VS103 to VS4049 but still a Virgin flight. Only when we checked in we found out we were now flying with Delta and number was now DL285. Was not happy as wanted to fly with Virgin.The seats were ok but the entertainment system went down mid film. Took an hour to get started again. The games didn't work. Staff were a bit grumpy."

Minusy: "We were told over the phone that we could bring our kayaks with us to Africa but the airport staff denied not only our kayaks, but also our paddles which were in a standard ski bag. Their excuse was that both the kayaks and paddle bags were 2 inches too long. .. TWO INCHES!!!!!! We had record of the person we talked to and the time and date, but none of that seemed to matter. It caused A HUGE INCONVENIENCE for us since we are in Zambia for 6 weeks without our gear to paddle one of the most challenging rivers in the world... the Zambezi. Now we are constantly trying to acquire the proper equipment with very little success. We run a nonprofit called the Montana Kayak Academy which provides free whitewater instruction to youth between 8 &18 yrs old and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to NOT TRAVEL WITH EITHER VIRGIN ATLANTIC OR BRITISH AIRWAYS.... EVER!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Plusy: "I was selected for additional screening at the gate. I have no problem with this at all. From the start I told them I am traveling with my fiancee. They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

Minusy: "The red wine on the flight from Lagos was too sharp. That is the regular one served on virgin flight so was glad when I tasted the new one served on the flight from Heathrow, thinking it's been changed!"

Minusy: "My first leg flight was delayed and I booked through kayak on two different airlines and the first airline did not communicate with the second airline so 5 passengers ran to make the change and arrived 1 min after the jetbridge to get on the plane was pulled away. It was incredible frustrating and could have very easily been avoided with communication from the airlines"

Minusy: "The complimentary headset breaks easily. Tray table was broken and they can't fix it. Very small bathrooms, knees almost touch the door when sitting down. Food selection for dinner ran out quickly, resulting in only 2 choices and one is hot spicy, so basically only one choice. All beverages are given out in small cups, even water is given out in small cups increments (finish in one gulp), they don't even give out small bottles of water. No complimentary packet (eye shades, socks etc.) , not even a barf bag for collecting trash."

Plusy: "The whole flight was great quick boarding, lots of leg room, good entertainment, a USB charge port, good lighting, and the crew was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the flight and would like to fly Virgin Atlantic more. Finally, you are the 3rd best flight, I have ever take, and the 2nd best airline I've been on. Flew Business Class on Swiss Air once to Geneva (#1) and all the flights I have had with Porter Air are comparable to your airline, but the free cookies and beverages at Porter's terminal in Toronto wonderful."
Minusy: "A couple things went wrong on this trip, my checked luggage got misplaced for a day, and a nice women in baggage claim told me what was happening and a nice man handled my claim and my bag has now been returned to me. The bigger thing is my flight bas delayed taking off by 3 hours. Let me start that I would rather have a part replaced on the runway then not, safety is paramount. The fact is my flight took off 3 hours late from London (VS11), and got to my destination (BOS) 2.5 hours late. Kudos to the flight crew for getting me to my destination faster by gaining a little time. Plus, since BOSTON was my final destination it was all fine this time. But if I had had to get home to the elder person I take care of or my teenager it would been a problem. Again, I'm annoyed, but I do understand the reasons and they are valid and preferred. I have heard that airlines to keep their flight rating high, wait for planes to leave the gate on time and then do repairs on the tarmac. If this is still a SOP for airlines you should change the way the statistics are collected and figure out a way of not perpetuating this type of disincentive. This is just hypothesis on my part, and my whole trip had little negatives."

Minusy: "The seat I had was a bit snug leg wise and recline wise. Could not get comfortable at all."

Minusy: "I did not get the requested meal. I had requested Asian Veg meal. I had reconfirmed that Virgin Atlantic Kiosk at Heathrow airport as well. In flight when I asked cabin crew they said they didn't get any request. I was hungry whole flight. Very bad experience."

After calling the helpline I was informed that it is impossible to change the seat after checking in until I am at the airport. No other airline has such an obscure, in efficient rule. Virgin takes pride in being a step above their competition - I didn't see it. I have flown international on Delta, American Airlines, British Airlines, United, and others and any difference in the experience was negligible."

"Delta does a great job in general. However, the “Comfort+“ seats weren’t worth the money. I sat in both seats, and I compared the width of the seats and the distance from the seat edge to the back of the seat in front of it. There was a difference of about 2” in the seat width and 1” in the leg room. Very disappointing."

The customer service person was not at all helpful, and told me there were no other flights available on any airline until the next day. However, I was able to go online and book another flight immediately...which means that she was either being disingenuous or actively undermining efforts to get me home in a timely fashion. Very disappointing and as a SkyMiles member would have thought there would be some level of common courtesy dealing with a non-weather related delay that drastically impacted my travel plans."

Minusy: "The connecting flight from Atlanta to NY was rescheduled for an hour and fifteen minutes later, boarding for the delayed flight started late, closed doors were another 20 minutes late, spend another hour or so waiting for confirmations, during which no AC is on because of a malfunction on the plane with the electricity unit. Due to rough air conditions, no in-flight service, or very limited one - and all of those are fine by me, and not the airlines' fault at all. But then, during all these unexpected conditions, I can't even use the in flight entertainment system as i use Bluetooth earphones, and to get earphones I have to buy them for 2$. To earn excellent service, inspite of all the delays, AC malfunction and unpleasantness all you had to do was give those 2$ earphones for free. I have another flight with SkyTeam coming up and I do hope it won't be as unpleasant as it is a much longer flight."

I paid $150 for an Uber at 4 pm. At 6:37, I got an email with news of a two hour delay. I would’ve appreciated an earlier notice. But much worse was the boarding experience. As half the passengers had boarded, someone announced that we had to have everyone boarded and seated in 5 minutes, or else the crew would time out, and we’d have to stay in WPalm. This set off a frenzy, with seated passengers yelling at the people boarding to hurry!! I was told by the pilot while exiting in LGA, that we made it by 30 seconds! It could’ve been handled so much better!"

Minusy: "The male flight attendant who handed out the complimentary drinks and snacks acted a bit strangely. I was very thirsty, and I asked him if I could keep the rest of the can of soda. He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

However, other than those two very minor things, it was a wonderful flight. I have never flown with a better crew, you could really tell they all actually enjoy their jobs. I loved that the pilot had a great sense of humor, he told a few funny jokes after we landed(while we were taxiing) it definitely helped make the time pass faster & I honestly think it put everyone in a good mood :) I have never been more satisfied with a flight. I will most definitely recommend WestJet to everyone I know, and will be my first choice for flying myself."

Plusy: "Despite an ontime boarding, weather (thunderstorms) and air traffic congestion left us stuck on the tarmac for over 3 hours. Kudos to the captain for keeping us informed of every development and for taking the initiative to negotiate a southern flight plan routing that allowed us eventually to depart when other flights were being cancelled due to congestion in Heathrow airspace to the north. West Jet also put together a special team in Toronto to rebook passengers with connecting flights to later flights. This meant they had a new boarding pass ready and waiting for me by the time I got to Toronto, so the disruption was minimized."
Minusy: "I had counted on buying my meal on the plane, so had not purchased any beforehand. Unfortunately, we ended up delayed on the tarmac for over 3 hours and they ran out of hot meals before they reached my seat row. I had to make do with crackers, cheese and fruit as my dinner. Lesson learned: always reserve my meal (or buy one) before boarding my flight - you never know what kind of delays will occur. To be fair, the crew did offer me a free glass of wine to go with it, which was a nice touch."

Not only is the food expensive it is also real garbage. Flight was delayed by 75 minutes and nearly missed my connection. Of course no checked baggage is included in your already expensive ticket. You have to fork in another 30$ for the privilege of checking luggage. WestJet pretends to offer 200-300$ cheaper plane tickets compared to the competition, but this is false. I found plenty of other flights for same or even cheaper prices with quality airline companies like Lufthansa or Air Canada that include a meal and checked baggage and other perks, but in my case I had already booked. I really recommending you looking for other airline companies for any flight that is not short haul. WestJet's slogan is an airline company with owner that care... Whatever the hell that means. Maybe someone can explain? WestJet brags about it's outstanding customer service while at the same time cutting every corner possible on service. Kind of a contradiction."

Minusy: "I was traveling with a piece of artwork and had to check it in oversized luggage, but as I was going through customs, I wasn't allowed in, because the Westjet team couldn't find it. I was escorted to their waiting zone, where I spent 1.5 hours waiting in limbo trying to figure out what I could do. Thank goodness the flight was delayed 80 minutes, because I was finally able to make the flight with 2 minutes to spare after running to the gates. The flight time, 65 minutes. I find it hard to believe the flight got delayed an entire flight. To couple that, when the plane landed in LGA (where I am as I write this), we're stranded on the runway because we don't have clearance to pull into our taxi area."

Liked the automated bag drop at Gatwick, much quicker and plenary of staff in case there were any issues."

Minusy: "Firstly Kayak is apparently actually LastMinute.Com? BA flight was OK, but not much different from a low-cost airline. Return leg had to be Ryanair and online check-in didn't work (ouch! - you have to pay extra to check in at the airport). I eventually found out (after frantic googling) that Kayak auto-generates an email address for you as part of the Ryanair booking process, and this is the one you need. I spent about 30 mins getting through to LM.Com overseas helpdesk trying to get hold of it. I also had to request hold baggage as a separate process and it took 10 days to confirm this had been arranged (again, I would have had to pay extra at the airport)."

Plusy: "This is a no frills BA flight, but I'd rather do fly with BA than the other options. You have to pay for food and drink, the quality of crew far exceeds the usual low cost dross."

A few of the entertainment screens are scratched, and the controls faulty. But still usable with a little perseverance."

Plusy: "Last minute flight (booked 4 hours before departure), one way, economy, for €99 from Amsterdam to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer."

Plusy: "Comfortable flight. On time departure"
Minusy: "Could not check in online or via app due to system issues"

Plusy: "I thought the staff were helpful and professional. I had enough legroom and there was room for my wedding dress to be hung, although it was slightly small."
Minusy: "There was a lot of turbulence but I know this is not the fault of the airline. Additionally, the in-flight entertainment was not working properly and this had to be reset on request. There were no wet towels/wipes to wipe our hands."

Plusy: "flight cancelled"
Minusy: "flight cancelled because of fog,........ there was no fog"

Minusy: "Worst flight ever. Cabin Crew direspectful, vulgar language, condescending to passengers and manhandeling people."

Plusy: "Nothing."
Minusy: "A two hour flight and they ran out of time to serve drinks. Maybe if BA reversed their ridiculous decision to charge for drinks, it wouldn't take them so long."

Plusy: "Crew friendly"
Minusy: "Food bland and limited choice Do not like the new bottle service in Club Service slow Seats very uncomfortable and less seat pitch than on other airlines"

Plusy: "Everything was on time."
Minusy: "It is a very good flight i seen. The flight was timely. Landing was very good."

Minusy: "Booked 6 exit row seats only to have half of us moved. Somehow Cyprus is short haul? So no free soft drinks or food! The crew ran out of much of the menu."

Plusy: "Crew treated you well, boarding was organised and as a silver club card holder I was rewarded with priority boarding (less queues, less hassle)."
Minusy: "Old style entertainment console, small screens, no usb or plug point for charging."

Plusy: "BA was great especially in JFK"
Minusy: "Booked through Kayak and my mums ticket was voided so couldn't board had to buy her a new ticket"

Plusy: "Nothing good to say its an old plane, rubbish entertainment system no help by the British airway's staff not even in checkin when my girlfriend struggled to weigh bag the staff just looked and offered no assistance. Hardly came round to offer drinks meal was foul and the Sandwick was inedible. I will never fly British airways again I wrongly thought that they were a premier service how wrong was I"
Minusy: "Everything"

Plusy: "Bording was quick"
Minusy: "Crew was serious, absolutely not happy to smile Genuine smile is really appreciated whenmeeting custimers. Food trolley/ drinks came to customers and before we could react it was gone. When we asked them back they were not very happy looking . Seats we not comfortable."

Plusy: "Arrived on time"
Minusy: "We paid $85 each to have extra leg room - which were horrible seats near the toilet. Which became a gathering area and we were unable to sleep/watch movie in peace. Worst of all was the fact that someone was sick in the toilet (inside and out) the toilet was closed BUT no sign is placed on it so people continue to line up and wait..... unless I told them it was not in use.... this went on for 2 hours!!! A simple sigh on the door was all it needed."

Plusy: "Disability assist was good."
Minusy: "Unable to use your cash on board. Having to use a card to buy something, like a drink, for £1.80"

Plusy: "Friendly, efficient and caring. A comfortable experience at a very low price."
Minusy: "NA"

Plusy: "Great customer service"
Minusy: "One of BA system was down which did delay us"

Plusy: "The actuall flight was not bad."
Minusy: "Unable to check in online and pay for extra bags. As a result i paid more at the airport. I even showed the error to the agent and she had an i dont care attitude. Check in opened an hour late. Not what i expected"

Plusy: "On-time departure, friendly staff"

Plusy: "Lounge. BA is currently using First Lounge at Gatwick during the renovation of the BA lounge."
Minusy: "Crew behaving like prison guards. Not helpful and friendly, a disgrace. Food catering a joke (peanuts and crips)"

Plusy: "Free upgrade to Club was amazing. Really appreciated that gesture made Put Mr trip even more pleasurable."

Plusy: "Straight forward, free drinks and snacks, OK price. Service onboard at the better end of acceptable but not pushing over into great."
Minusy: "They try to make boarding orderly, but they didn't finish boarding the seat numbers they called before calling the next set, and then did nothing when these people killed around and pushed at the front if the queue."

Minusy: "Still at Gatwick. 24 hours later"
