Minusy: "I am only 158cm tall (5 feet 2 inches) and I had no leg room! My knees hit the seat in front of me. The seats were also so narrow that you could not change position at all, so it was very uncomfortable for a 8.5 hour flight. And I weigh less than 45 kg (100lbs). I can't imagine how anyone bigger than me felt. My seat was toward the back of the plane, and it took the crew over an hour to reach us once they started the drink and food carts. One time my row got entirely skipped for the drink cart, even though we were awake. This was a problem because they didn't come by for another 5.5 hours with more water/drinks, and they did not give us water bottles for that time period like Delta does. The food wasn't tasty, but it was eatable. The movie options were great, but that was all I could do on the screen because half of mine did not respond to touch, which meant no games and I could only select movies on the left half of my screen. Weird."

Ten hours and I didn't sleep at all( never can sleep sitting up) and I think they came by with extra water and juices at least six times. Two hot meals of delicious food, superb snacks available near the galley, and comfortable seats with better than average legroom."

Since there is no mini TVs on the back of the seats, you have to connect to their wifi to access shows and movies from your own device which is fine if it works. Tried to watch a movie which had huge problems connecting and the loading signal was on for a large amount of time. Once it had connected to the movie, it had restarted to the beginning about 25 times during watching it. Very disappointing and made it very unenjoyable. Also, right after we boarded, the pilot went on the intercom to tell us the ground crew had a gas spill and had to take extra time to clean it up which led us to sit on the plane for an extra 45 minutes and that led us to miss our connecting flight."

My vacation has come and gone and still no bag. Here we are 9 days later and no update or anything. Their baggage center is a NIGHTMARE. I wait on hold for over an hour each time only to be greeted by someone who couldn't care less about my issues. Every person has told me something different. It is beyond frustrating. Highly doubt I will ever see that bag again."

I have dealt with this before at Pearson I don't understand why it takes large amounts of time to unload bags from the plane? Or why a few bags arrived and the others took 2 hours? I am not sure if Air Canada has any control over this or if it is Pearson's responsibility but I would appreciate if you could forward this complaint to the appropriate folks. Thanks."

Where can you find a room in Phoenix for $150? You can't. The plane was suppose to leave 6:25pm . This was 9:00pm. No offer of food , drinks nothing. People were tired and hungry. Finally after a lot of complaining, that's when some us were given rooms they gave us vouchers for the hotels restaurant that was closed due to renovations. The agent was to,d this when they reserved the rooms but they lead us to believe there would be food there. We didn't get out until 2:00 pm the next day. And even that flight was late. I was exhausted when I finally reached my destination. I lost over a day of my vacation. I don't want to fly with Air Canada again!!!!!!!!!!"

Air Canada needs to revisit the timetables from Toronto, all the transatlantic flights leave after 16:00, that creates long queues in the airport security and huge delays in cases like mine. I arrived 20 hours after my original flight because of this schedule. Additionally, they did not offer us any food, while the whole process took more than 10 hours. We arrived in Toronto at midnight local, when everything had already closed for the day."

Ground crew not well trained.No boarding pass was given (which is fine). 1 hour wait because of power failure at the airport in Montreal and then we are about to take off and there was an engine failure so we had to come back again . Minusy: "Did not fly Air Canada from Phoenix to Toronto; flew much cheaper version "Rouge". Flight was delayed more than 40 minutes in Phoenix while cargo rearranged, making us late for connection in Toronto (1.5 hour layover initially). Stewardess told us we could make flight if we ran through airport, but when we got to the gate, we were told that we had been rescheduled on another flight 2 days later! Crew on flight did not tell us this. We did manage to get another flight to Frankfurt 2 hours later on Air Canada, then to Barcelona on Lufthansa, arriving 8 hours later than originally scheduled. Rouge flight had fewer amenities than Southwest and less legroom. Did not know what were getting when booked flight -Will never fly Rouge again!"

My seat mate, who is Canadian told me that they reduced the distance by 3 inches from the Air Canada standard. I am not a tall person, I only have a 30 inch inseam, but my knees were touching the seat in front of me. Anyone over 6 feet tall would be VERY uncomfortable."

When I offered my rebuke she scolded me and said the luggage would be there before me....how the hell is that supposed to happen? To make matter worse the flight "attendants" stopped serving half way and when they started again I got trapped by the bathroom and did not get back to my seat in time to enjoy a beverage....not that I was offered one."

Minusy: "Our flight was delayed 6 hours so United rebooked the whole flight, however they made no attempt to inform us before we arrived at the airport. We found out when we arrived to our gate to board. So because we did not know about the delay until the time of boarding, we missed all other flights out because it was 8pm and no more flights could take us to our final destination. We did receive a hotel voucher but we had to pay for a taxi back to the airport as well as we had to pay extra for our car that had been sitting in the airport garage overnight. It should have been $2.50, but because it sat in the garage overnight we had to pay $20."
Plusy: "I loved the ground crew. Flights were delayed, but they kept us informed an expedited turn around. Also I had to change flights to get home and their phone-support was perfect. Hey, they even had a cookie on the last flight that was quite good - go figure!"
Plusy: "The staff were very attentive to passengers and courteous."
Minusy: "Nothing they did a Great job and keep a safe and exciting flight."
Minusy: "We're all aware of the national "glitch" the delayed flights a couple of hours. While our plane was available for an on-time departure (UA1976) @11:35, the crew was inbound on one of the delayed flights (UA1611). United could have known as early as 7:30pm that 1611 wasn't going to make it on time to turn around the crew and would hold up 1976 as a result. Instead United didn't update passengers of 1976 until 11:55 (20 minutes after it was obvious that it was delayed and 4.5 hours after they could have known). Maybe I'm missing something, would love for someone at United to explain it."
Minusy: "I don't think I will be choosing to fly with United going forward. The staff at the desks were rude and very short. I had a layover in Chicago and did not receive any notification that my flight was cancelled due to maintenance. I went to each desk to try and find an associate and no one was available to help the several individuals wondering how to get switched to a new flight. All of us were just given a phone number to call. Once I found someone thy told me that there was no seats available on any of the flights. They found one seat on a plane that was going to laguardia instead of my destination of Newark and then proceeded to tell me that my bags will still go to Newark and it was my job to make sure I filed to get them. (Same thing happened the last time I flew with United) I'm very disappointed all together with how I was treated as a customer."
Plusy: "The actual flight itself was fine."
Minusy: "The flight was delayed. I was told it was due to "weather issues", and that i'd more than likely miss my flight, and that there was nothing they could do about it. I ask the guy to print me some sort of itinerary to show my work, and it shows "mechanicall issues", not weather. Confirmed this with their website. I was told I'd probably be arriving in Seattle around 1-1:30AM. By pure chance, my flight from San Fran to Seattle was ALSO delayed (due to a late incoming flight), so I was able to board my original connecting flight. However, this still put me in a bad situation. I use public transportation, which wont be running by the time I arrive. LooKS like I'll be forking out $50+ for an Uber or Lyft home. Thanks, United. I only ever get delays when I fly United."
Plusy: "Economy Plus was good. Economy not so. Good variety of movies. However, it is cheaper to go to the movies during the day. Pretty impressed with the timing, especially considering it was the holidays and we flew through Chicago. The captains' were also entertaining."
Minusy: "Some of the flight crew looked a bit ragged. One stunk like a brewery and was sweating bullets the entire time."
Minusy: "The flight was delayed for 30 minutes because they couldn't find the flight attendant. The seats were extremely close to each other. And I'm not a very tall and my knees were touching the front of the dead."
Minusy: "My first leg of flight was delayed two hours and my connecting flight was cancelled. Waiting in line for 3 hours with almost 100 people with NO intervention. This is a joke!"
Plusy: "Crowded flight efficient crew and staff pleasant and cooperative passengers."
Minusy: "The days of an empty seat are gone the new normal is crowded flights."
Minusy: "I spent 8 hours in the Denver airport without any compensation from the airline. At least buy me lunch."
Plusy: "Like other airlines, United is charging more fees for seats to food. And the food they sell is bad. The breakfast was microwaved to horification. Why are airlines permited to give such low levels of service? Why are they allowed to charge extra fees for ordinary seats? And no complimentary entertainment. All that NOTHING" service and for very high fees.I got suckered into paying a lot extra for premium Economy. The Premium was the extra money they stole. The Economy was the new definition of bare bones."
Minusy: "There was nothing to like about the flight."
Plusy: "Everything was easy and smooth I love it and they are very nice people"
Minusy: "i was a bit stressed given I had a connection and my flight out of Phoenix was about 45 mins delayed. I made the next flight by 15 mins"
Plusy: "Flight times were accurate."
Minusy: "As soon as we arrived to the airport, checking in was the biggest hassle. We were harassed by a guy working the ticket counter named Guilermo. He was EXTREMELY rude and continued to harass us and followed us after we checked in and we're already at the security check point. It's $25 to check a bag but if you check 2 bags their website says its $35 for both. We were charged $50 to check two bags. Even after Guilermo told both of us that they wouldn't charge us for the second bag to be checked. The guy that checked our bags was also extremely rude and clearly didn't care. Once we started boarding the flight several passengers had to check their bags at the gate because there "wasn't enough room on the plane". Not really sure how this was fair since we had just paid $50 to check two bags and were lied to about it when several people just checked their bags for free. We chose to fly with United because of the good deals they have on flights but after our experience I would MUCH rather pay more money and have a lot better customer service. We had such a horrible experience it almost ruined our first day of our week long trip. I'm. It really sure if it's obvious to the employees of United but traveling for most people is a very special occasion. This occasion happen to be a very special one to us as it was a family vacation and seeing family we haven't seen in years. The poor attitudes and rude demeanor from the United staff is all we could think about even after we reached our destination."

Minusy: "Luggage got stuck in plane, 1 1/2 hour wait at carrousel! Newark sucks to get out, took two atemps with 2 GPS and 2 people trying to decifer NJ's crappy road signs!"

Minusy: "PHX is a large airport, and my emailed ticket said Brussles Airlines, Terminal 4. First off, Brussles Airlines is not a carrier at PHX, and secondly no one knew that United was their partner. There was no information provided to me to go to United, which was in Terminal 2. After making a phone call to Brussles Airlines, I ended up getting to the check in gate ten minutes after boarding started. It was a lovely rest of the trip after that though! But please include partner information im the email next time!"
Minusy: "Super annoying toung boy who kicked my seat and slammed the tray table al ost the entire flight...obviously not United's fault."
Minusy: "Terrible experience in onboarding.. Later on i was made to sit in flight for 5 hours at mumbai airport"
Plusy: "I got a super cheap fare for this short flight from PHX to LAX. Staff was courteous and the flight went smoothly from start to finish."
Minusy: "Was unable to figure out the free entertainment offered. Was a short flight so I didn't really worry about it."
Plusy: "The only positive was that the seat next to me was empty so I had a little more room."
Minusy: "Flight attendants were unpleasant and plane was very dirty. My seat also felt sticky."
