My son, who I booked the ticket for, ran all the way to the connecting flight's gate. They'd already closed the doors, and wouldn't let him on. Consequently he had to be re-booked onto the next flight, which didn't leave until 2200."
Minusy: "Did I mention that he'd taken a Greyhound bus to Dallas from Memphis on Monday the 6th of August? He got to DFW airport on plenty of time for his flight to Scotland. It should have been DFW to JFK to Glasgow. Delta cancelled his flight. Citing "weather issues." My family researched this, and couldn't find any weather issues in the North East or NY area."

Minusy: "When I presented my passport at the counter to receive my boarding pass, I was told my passport needed to be over 3 months before expiration. It expires January 14, 2019. It is not written on the passport, nor mentioned during booking. I’ve been to Latvia four times previously and never heard this requirement. I cancelled the flight with Lufthansa who said I must call Kayak who gave me another number to call and that number then sent an email that said there was a $350 rebooking fee for each ticket, IF they decided I was eligible for rebooking. Yes, we got a great rate, but looks like wasted $ now. I will book directly with the airline in the future to ensure the ability to rebook."

Even through there was a delay in boarding already, the crew kept us well informed. The cabin crew was very pleasant and accommodating. Smooth flight and still made it to our connecting flight on time."

Plusy: "The customer service phone number was impossible to get through on in order to take to someone within 24 hours of my flight in order to make my Special Meals request as I have Celiac's Disease. I was unable to make this selection at booking as when you book through a third party like Expedia, which I did, you cannot access the same internal tools required to make that selection. You can ONLY then call once you have checked in before the flight in order to let the airline know of your Special Meal needs. This is not only a terrible policy as it undercuts those who ARE ultimately still buying tickets to their airline, and that the airline is CHOOSING to sell. It provided me with an extremely subpar experience of the airline but left up to the last minute with doubts about my ability to board a 13 he international flight without the reassurance that I would have ANY meals aboard and no other options should that be the case. Right before my flight departed I was reassured that the information we had requested Expedia relay to the airline internally the day before, who we called when we couldn't get through to the airline, WAS able to convey this Special Meal request and I was going to have food on the flight, so I then did not purchase a bunch of snacks in the airport to have as options. The first meal in, no Special Meal was provided and I had to explain then entire situation all over again. They assured me they would figure it out and get me taken care of. However, no one who assisted me conveyed this to anyone else on the flight and every time food was dispersed, same situation. This was stressful and exhausting and the options provided me were modified to be gluten free, such as an entire plate of fruit for my snack, instead of the protein heavy snack everyone else received, because there truly wasn't extra for that type of dietary restriction. This was stressful and I was very hungry on the flight. One of the attendants got me a few chunks of cheese from first class, but otherwise, it wasn't great. I would advise travelers with Special Meal requests NOT to fly with AirCanada."

Upon arrival in Vancouver we were paged to baggage claim and informed that our bags were taken off the plane and would arrive later in the night. Problem was, we were leaving on a cruise at 4:30PM. Our bags had two cruise luggage tags on each bag. When our bags were delivered to us 2.5 days later in Ketchikan, Alaska - The cruise tags had been torn off our bags. There were a minimum of 8 vacant seats and corresponding luggage not on this plane. I believe Air Canada had a chance to load more cargo and removed our luggage to make more room for the cargo. I will never fly this airline again. I had nothing good to say to anyone on our cruise regarding this airline. Terrible passenger service. The guest services said that 16 bags were delivered in Ketchikan from Air Canada."

Plusy: "AC 018 takes the shortest route from Shanghai to Montreal. The check in and boarding were like a breeze. Cabin was clean, staff were amiable and hard working. The variety of drinks were plenty, the food matched the standard of cost efficiency flight ticket so how could you complain it? On board TV/Movie has new coming features such as HBO's Game of The Thorne, season 7. It was a comfortable and pleasant journey with the team of AC 018. Merci beaucoup!"

Minusy: "When arriving YYZ, don't mind to be the last passenger to get off, but I was waiting inside the plane for wheelchair about 30 mins after everyone has gone. Perhaps the staff should be managed better the timing. Lucky yyz is my destination, otherwise i would have missed the connecting flight. Waiting for 30 mins is too long. Also the staff stopped for another 10 m in ns to take care of something else. I thought one staff should only take care of one passenger at a time. It showed unprofessional gesture. Btw I didn't get ckeck in email for my return flight to YYZ."

Plusy: "The check in was fast and easy, even was able to get a better seat. The cabin and seat were comfortable, the crew very nice. There wasn't any food which is never offered on thse shortish flights. Flight was on time and smooth."
Minusy: "Nothing to do with the flight. Just the passport control took a long time in Toronto, which is not the airlines problem."

Minusy: "Our inbound flight was two hours late. When connecting through Toronto, they lied to us. They said that the outbound connection was on time, that we'd likely missed it. Then, after standing through their requisite customer service line with only one open desk for two full flights, we were told to sprint through customs. We arrived, breathless to find the connection was delayed. We were told that they don't post the delayed connections for fear that passengers won't run or that U.S. customs will close. Uncommunicative and untruthful, their service is atrocious."

Plusy: "At $320usd per person per direction, you can't beat the price thanks to whatever magical gremlins Kayaks employs to fix prices for them...we flew Air Canada and we'e very pleased with their fleets new addition of 787 dream liners. Do yourself a favor and find a flight on this aircraft. From takeoff to landing, there was never a question about our safety and comfort, and the sleek, organic aesthetic of the dream liner somehow met a new standard for both ergonomy and tech/entertainment. I especially found the sub ports in my personal screen useful."
Minusy: "Transatlantic flights are too long. Hurry up Science, magic me up some low earth orbit/sonic+ future jets already...Jaesus..."

Minusy: "The crew looked bored and surly. They missed giving me my pre ordered meal. When they finally found it it was given without the water bottle. I had to ask for tea twice only to be told that all hot beverages had been poured out."

Minusy: "The checkin staff were not at there designated area on time and the flight was delayed for over an hour causing us to not be able to board our connecting flight from Toronto to Milan."

Minusy: "The flight was delayed several times, and then they lost my baggage, when I landed in Chicago, no bag. A person from United Airlines called me at 7:00 AM the next morning and said that they had my bag. He directed it to GRB that day. Thanks to him I got my bag back!"

Minusy: "-During boarding I was forced to measure my carry-on and told it was too large despite taking it on hundreds of flights (including numerous Air Canada flights) in the past. Not the best first impression of this Air Canada flight."

Plusy: "Everything was good, just a small plane... 2 seats on each side of the row and being tall, there just isn't room for my legs!"

Plusy: "The flight was smooth and the attendants were awesome and friendly. Would highly recommend again when I visit Montreal again!"

Minusy: "I booked this particular flight because it was the shortest route available. But the Air Canada flight from Dallas was delayed for an hour and then we experienced computer problems causing further delays. I therefore missed my connection in Toroto and was told by the ground staff I could only get out 2 days later. I was also told there were no hotels available. There were long lines of angry people complaining, and they were from different flights, One couple complained they missed 2 days of their honeymoon. The plane did have seats in business class which they refused to hand out. Eventually they found me a hotel and redirected me through Frankfort the next day. It turned out to be a 27 hour trip. Huge disappointment."

Minusy: "The flight was three hours late!!!!!!! I had to get on and get off the plane with all my stuff. This has financial implications on the ground later that evening in Uber Cost and I had to pay for the additional day for my car because I was not able to pick it up at the originally scheduled time. I contacted United and have not heard ANYTHING!!!!! Please help me get my money back!!!"

Minusy: "Everything was trerrible on this flight! We were delayed from our first connecting flight out to SF to LA and we're put on a different flight connecting to Houston to get us home sooner. We were told by the gentleman at the check in that our correct boarding passes with our seats sitting all together would be given to us at the boarding desk. That was the biggest mistake ever to take this flight because we were then delayed 3 more hrs! Not only that but when I approached the next gentleman at the boarding desk in Houston he was super rude! He was yelling at me when I told them that "they in Dallas,the worker at the check in" told me to get my boarding passes in Houston. He kept yelling saying "there was nothing he could do that he could do that he didn't know who THEY were but that I was talking to him now and that's why he is saying" I tried explaining to him that I just wanted to make sure I got in the right flight home because this is what I was told to do by the employee in Dallas. Not only that but our connecting flight to Houston was horrible! The flight attendant (the male) was very very rude!!! He also was yelling at my niece and nephew when we were trying to put the carry on bags in the compartment. And telling us we could have anything underneath the seat when clearly we could have our personal item underneath. Overall we had the worst experience with United and will never again fly with them! I understand delays may happen but there's no need for the employees to be so rude. so much for their customers service!"

Minusy: "There were no tvs on the diet flight you had to use your own device. On the second flight you had to pay to watch tv. It's free to watch movies in American Airlines!"

Minusy: "Getting to the airport and being told you are not in the system to get your tickets when you give all the information to the counter after you paid in advance and have to take the grey hound instead so I am pissed off at this air line and going to let my friends and family know how I was treated there"

Plusy: "At all points in the process from check-in to exiting the plan, the staff was quick to step in and help with direction to keep everyone moving."
Minusy: "A teacher was put into tears at the gate agent desk prior to boarding because she had a purse and a shopping bag but had a ticket that only allowed one bag that could not be a full roller board. I did see her eventually board wiping her tears away with a single bag, so she either paid the extra $50 or they figured something out."

Minusy: "The united employee starting with the man in the ticket area by the gate. He was VERY rude and unprofessional. He was talking to me like was a dumb person. He was explaining to me that I could only take one bag on the plane and it was how he explained it to me that I did not like. United needs to work on getting rid of people like him, they are agitators."

Plusy: "Round trip from logan to dallas for $230 was unmatchable."
Minusy: "With radio communications issues on the plane cancelling my 6:30 flight my travel day grew about 6 hours longer then expected. But with that said as an auto mechanic i know this stuff happens all the time and its a head ache for everyone."

Plusy: "The service from the staff to fix the issue created by bad information and they were super nice about the situation. My flight out to visit my son and his family was great ."
Minusy: "In united club I was told to report to flight gate at 1715. I missed my flight because of bad information. This issue was corrected by some super nice employees st the gate counter. I've always gone to the club when have longer layover times I pay the day fee but this caused my time back home to be closer to midnight not the before 2200. To then top off the night I get home and my luggage was damaged. Just a really long and troubling trip back home."

Plusy: "Flight was delayed an hour, but as little pick-me-up united offered free snacks and water to tide all the passengers over! So unusual to see, since generally it's just like "deal with it." Also the smaller plane was fast to board and de-board."

Maybe you could work on the accuracy of your delays and how long it will really take. The flight attendants seemed as though they didn't even want to be there."

Minusy: "Only offered water in-flight. No snack, no beverage service, only water. Flight IAH to DFW on 10/28 had full beverage service so what's the difference?"

Minusy: "It was a really noisy flight because a little boy was crying in the back"

Plusy: "The power outlets were a perfect way to be ready to arrive home. Great option of personal mobile device entertainment."
Minusy: "No television on that flight."

Minusy: "This flight was cancelled, so I can't say how the flight was. However, I can say that in my 20 years of travel, this was by far the worst, most stressful experience I have ever had. I was placed on 2 other flights with 2 other airlines and wasn't notified until AFTER I was already checking in with another airline (this is also after calling the airlines regarding the cancellation, several hours before heading to the airport). Worst experience. Do not recommend."

Minusy: "The layover was quite short and I had to get from one terminal to another. Luckily, the directions I received were spot on and I arrived to my terminal just in time."
