Minusy: My reservation was not honored. I was left in the cold at 1 am in NYC Then when i pleaded for a vehicle they wanted to charge over 5 times the reservation price i had placed online. absoulutely disgusting

Plusy: So checkin was quick..

Minusy: That being said when I was sent out to the lot to pick up the car, the attendants were in cars listening to music. One of them refused to get out and pointed to another car. On drop off, there was no one outside. I left the headlights on pointed at the office and it took 5 minutes for someone to come out and check us out. The Kia Sorento had zero options. Really nothing. They wanted $23.95 a day for EzPass. Hertz charges $3.95

Advantage - Eze Pass Usury

Minusy: We were very angry and disappointed that we were faced with a 145% increase in our cost to rent our car due to the exhorbitant premium for an EZE Pass for the week. We were expecting to pick up our car, having already paid the rental charges and be on our way. We were then informed that if we were going thru tolls, we would be unable to pay cash. Unless we paid for the EZE pass ($226 incl taxes and fees) then we would be charged $25 for each time we went thru a toll plus the cost of the toll. We were staying with family in Arverne meaning frequent use of tolls. We were astounded - how can that kind of premium be added at pickup with no warning (e.g. we had booked the car 2 months in advance with no notice re additional cost of EZE pass.. We were also treated with shame and guilt that we would even question these charges. We would like some explanation why you would inflict this kind of usury on an unsuspecting client who rented from you in good faith. We would ask for an adjustment to the EZE portion of our bill and direct communication with the executive in your company who chose to set these rates. Chris & Charleen Evans

Minusy: Arrived at the airport at 5 am only to be informed they had no cars. I had to beg to just get refunded. The attendant was incredibly inept and indifferent. Then I had to find another car from another agency and paid triple what I thought I would be paying. I will only rent from professional agencies from now on.

I didn’t get the car I rented

Minusy: Your website said nothing about advantage needing a $200 deposit on top of he payment I already paid to you. My confirmation said it was pre-paid in full. I didn’t have enough credit to hold he deposit and therefore did not receive the car I rented. This was very upsetting. You should really state deposit information clearly and in bold when a person is booming through your site. I purchased insurance through your site and would like it refunded ($18) if possible. I wasted my time and close to $50 in transportation fees to get to and from the rental location.

Worst rental experience ever

Plusy: Nothing

Minusy: Car smelled like a casino and with 2 small kids that couldn’t happen. It was heavily masked with some air freshener and once it wore off it smelled of smoke terrible. The agent tried 5 time to get me in a manager special. Then outright lied about the cost to add my wife as a driver. I can’t wait to see what the tolls are going to show up as on my credit card. I rent cars often for work. I knew better than to rent from this place but tried to save a buck. Worst plan ever. Don’t rent from them. Spend more money and have peace of mind.
