Plusy: Staff was friendly but very slow. Drop off was easy.
Minusy: Not sure why it took so long.
Minusy: 1) They are NOT on-site at the airport - you have to take 3 minute van-ride out to the avis car rental center. Not a big deal, but if you are expecting a curbside pickup of your rental car, you will not get it.
2) They move REALLY slow at the front desk to get your pre-paid, pre-booked car ready. We waited for 40 minutes, for what i've got done in 7 minutes in other Avis centers
3) The Car was rather worn out, and beat up, and was not worth the COST we paid for it.
Flight delay gets you dumped by Avis
Plusy: The consistently did nothing to help no matter how many numbers and people you talked with
Minusy: Flight was delayed by one day. Wouldn’t keep reservation even if I paid for the day it sat there. Kept stating there were no cars available for 7 day rental. Drove past Avis lot coming and going to a competitor that I tried not to use. Over 50 cars sitting idle. Paid more from competitors but got the service Avis wouldn’t do. Avis = dead to me.
Minusy: We had a reservation at 4 p.m. for a rental car at the airport of providenciales the plane landed at 15.15 but the post-landing checks continued until 4.45 p.m. Leaving the airport around 4.50 p.m. No one was at the desk at avis. No notice, no message, no email, no one was interested in our book
Plusy: Helpful and friendly staff.
Minusy: Nothing! Price was great and car was great!

Minusy: Waited 45 mins for the shuttle ride to Avis, as many other people got their pick of cars. When we arrived, they offered a manual Suzuki, w/ broken antennae, broken vents, & in poor shape. Couldn't fit in the car. Gave us a Suzuki Swift for more $ that was newer, but not clean and beat up.
Plusy: The staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient location for an offsite office.

This place was quite unprofessional and I will never rent here again and I will and have been telling everyone else how terrible Payless car rentals is.
Plusy: The hatchback wouldn't stay up so packing the car was a pain. Also, the seatbelt release would stick and not latch on both front seats.
Minusy: The original booking was for a car rental on site with no shuttle but had to take a shuttle after waiting very long to get to counter.
Plusy: The car was very old dirty beat up car
Minusy: At the minimum clean the car when I picked it up the car was filthy

Minusy: We had our reservation from the beginning of September. When we got to our destination in December, we were told that there were no cars left. This happened to several other families that also had reservations. They had overbooked and we were left stranded.

Minusy: When I dropped off my car to the local budget office I was shocked to see that my bill was almost $40 higher then the quote I received online. I showed the agent a printout of the original quote. That didn’t help so as a result I will never do business with Budget again.

Minusy: Mandatory liability insurance if $6 a day. Not disclosed in the fees on kayak.

Vehicle in terrible repair
Minusy: The car was very damaged on every side, including the top and the air conditioning did NOT work. Being on an island with high temperatures, this was terribly inconvenient.
Plusy: They picked us up right at the airport and brought us to the car rental site. We did not feel pressured, and the staff was kind and attentive.
Minusy: The only thing I didn't understand is that you absolutely need to bring the car back full of gas which is not so easy in TCI. Make sure you have cash to pay for the gas because they usually will not take a card

Minusy: My flight changed and I needed to make sure that I could change the time to drop the car off early at the airport. I called Budget, but they couldn't help me. All they could do was give me the number for the office, but no one answered the phone in the office and I had to cancel the reservation.
