Plusy: The location is really good, I did not use any transportation to reach most of the tourist spots, all by walking. The sofa in the room is comfy; clean, bright and spacious toilet.

Minusy: The lighting in the room is really dim, which makes it looks spooky at night. My room is facing the back alley, which was pretty noisy during my 3-nights stay but the hostel provided earbuds. It was a bit warm in the room, didn’t know how to open the windows. Breakfast was okay, not many choices and has been eating the same thing for 3 days.

Plusy: Miejsce z cudownym klimatem. Bardzo dobre sniadania. Każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Piękne miejsce i doskonała lokalizacja :) Gorąco polecam! :)

Plusy: The staffs of this hostel are very friendly, and they provide top service for the tourists during the travel, including facilities of room, restroom and shower room. The location of this hostel is near most of spots in Porto which can make the tourists feel convenient in the traveling.

Minusy: Amazing hotel. Would definitely be the best place in Porto, and one of the best I've been to. Great Stuff, great atmosphere!

Plusy: The best hostel I've ever stayed!!!! The facility is gorgeous! High ceilings and windows. They have a grand piano! There are two chill living areas! One upstairs connected the the kitchen and downstairs by the reception and bar area. This place is clean, and still smells like new wood. The beds are comfortable! The location is excellent! One entrance is in the Sao Bento station the other entrance is on the street. The staff was amazing! The best staff ever! They were so accommodating and helpful! The most friendliest staff ever!!! Literally, blown away, speechless with my stay here! I would come back again and again and again!

Minusy: Bathrooms - need more hooks or places to put the clothes before entering or leaving shower. The sink faucet is a push, so water would be coming out still when I didn't need it. I felt like I was wasting water.

Minusy: Beznadziejne oświetlenie w pokoju, nieszczelne drzwi przez co z dworca i korytarza dociera hałas. Powinno być to lepiej wyciszone. Wyjeżdżaliśmy przed pora śniadaniowa wiec dzień wcześniej poprosiliśmy o przygotowanie wyprawki ‚na wynos’, pomimo zapewnień ze śniadanie będzie na nas czekało, pan na porannej zmianie był zupełnie zaskoczony. Brak komunikacji między personelem.

Plusy: Good location,

Plusy: it's was stay like home, the staff very friendly and helpfull, high recommend!

Plusy: Perfect located in the railway station, the Passenger is a fine spot for travelers of all kind. Breakfast was good, our double room had the perfect size.

Minusy: During the night it can be quite loud outside because of the pubs nearby. If u intend to sleep earlier u should know this.

Plusy: The Yeatman came highly recommended and did not disappoint in any way. The staff was exceptional and went to extremes to make everything perfect for us. Breakfast was amazing both in terms of the food choices and the helpful people, not to mention that it was included in our room rate. The location gives a great view over Porto. Walking to town takes some effort (and more effort for the return!) but cabs are plentiful.

Plusy: This was the most beautiful hotel, the rooms were a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the location is perfect, so close to everything, breakfast was lovely and had far more choices than we expected, but the standout for us was the service, we have travelled a lot and this hotels staff were simply amazing, especially Filipa and Carlos who both provided excellent service, I would highly recommend this hotel

Plusy: Location, service and room are all great. It’s in a historical building which is just renovated recently. I specially want to mention that I accidentally booked a room (non- refundable) for wrong date through booking.com. But the hotel still decided to refund me the full amount. I would definitely like to stay in this hotel for my next trip to Porto:)

Plusy: We travelled with a slightly disabled girl. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. My sister’s birthday was on monday, she received a small b-Day cake from the hotel.:)

Plusy: The place is super stylish and the room we had was beautiful - probably the best bath I've ever had! The breakfast was great and there were some really nice touches e.g. biscuits in the room, free mini bar etc. The location is also brilliant; although it's a busy area the rooms are very peaceful and we had a great sleep both the nights.

Minusy: No bar at the hotel - it would be nice to have an area to sit and have a drink after walking around the city all day

Plusy: Location, service, welcome, cleanliness and the breakfasts at the hotel were really, really good. I would particularly pick out the service as first class. The two (small) minor point were that the room was a little small for the price and there were no drawers for clothes. Thoroughly recommended.

Minusy: The hotel can be a little difficult to find.

Plusy: Absolutely amazing from the breakfast to the room . We were upgraded free as our 20th anniversary. Each morning our room was cleaned and little treats left on bed the staff went above and beyond they were amazing will definitely be back soon .One of the best breakfast we ever had and we stayed all over the world

Plusy: Beautiful rooms each with its own decor twist. Super comfortable bed and a heating that worked. Which was great for this time of year. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. And the breakfast is also worth the 15€! Can’t wait to come again. Great location near some nice shops and restaurants. Nice to explore kn your own as well.

Plusy: I had dinner in the evening and the staff were excellent and l thought well trained and knowledgable about food and wine. I could tell the service was a particular standard and a good one. The food was not as tasty as the menu suggested so a little disappointing. I ate the vegetarian dish. I was surprised, given Porto is on a river and near the sea that there was very little choice of fish on the menu, hence choosing the veg option. I also only eat Marine Stewardship Fish or Sustainably caught fish and there is no mention of this. I would have thought nowadays hotels would be more responsible in what and how they serve their guests.

Minusy: My room was on the first floor and not far from lift and stairs. I dont know what was making the horrendous noise but it went on all evening til midnight and kept me from sleeping well. It then started again at about 6am so l did not have a peaceful nights sleep at all. This completely overshadowed my overall experience here.

Minusy: Dźwiękoszczelność pokoju nie była doskonała, przeszkadzał hałas za oknami . W pokoju przeszkadzał zapach stęchlizny rozchodzący się prawdopodobnie z kratki ściekowej wanny, która stała w pokoju. Hotel ma restaurację, która wieczorem jest czynna dopiero od godz. 19.30. Dla nas to za późno szczególnie po całodniowym zwiedzaniu. A tak chcieliśmy spróbować hotelowej kuchni...

Plusy: Beautiful place with great view, very close to Porto. The staf was really nice, Amazing breakfast and everything really clean, only can say.... 5 starts.

Plusy: Not much. Except that they had parking. The public rooms are pretty and elegant, but that does not make up for the lack of comfort.

Minusy: The mattress in my suite was old and completely worn out. I complained after the first night, and they put a mattress pad on top which made it a bit better. The breakfast the first morning was minimal, because at 7:00am there was no waitstaff yet. The coffee in the thermos was cold. For the price of this hotel I expected way better. Service was not great either. Very disappointed!

Minusy: This property does not have "LEADING HOTEL" management. Poor planning. Had to wait for a turn in order to check in at 7 PM after a long road trip. Guests are forced to make reservations in order to have dinner and there is insufficient space for meals. Guests have to make reservations for everything. Transportation into city very deficient. Young attentive staff, but way untrained.

Plusy: Wonderful stay at this lovely place. Felt like a queen in my castle. Service was impeccable. Restaurant was delicious and breakfast was fantastic. Quiet and very comfortable and the view is spectacular.

Minusy: A little far from central Porto but a short taxi ride served us well. Perhaps they could offer a shuttle to town.

Plusy: Beautiful historic facility, first rate service, excellent restaurant and a short Uber ride downtown or a 30 minute walk. Beautiful grounds free parking . Highly recommended.

Plusy: Bardzo ładny pokój, super czysto, bardzo dobry personel, niezwykle miłe osoby pracujące w restauracji, wspaniałe drinki w barze (Amoretto!), doskonale położenie hotelu.

Minusy: Śniadania są bardzo słabe, brak świeżych warzyw - jedynie niesmaczne pomidory, ogórki i trochę sałaty - słodka kawa, brzydkie oświetlenie w łazience, zła wentylacja w restauracji przez co cały dzień ubranie po śniadaniu przesiąknięte jest zapachem jajecznicy :(

Plusy: This is a nicely decorated guesthouse (almost like a hotel) full with, as you can guess, modern art. The interior and room are clean. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast is also good with choice of boiled eggs, bread, toast(er), various sweet cakes & sweet pastries, ham, cheese, cereal, yoghurts, etc. When we arrived and told we were visiting Porto for the first time the lady explained us on a map the most important areas. Staff speaks English. You can walk everything but using Uber or the cheaper Bolt app it is extremely easy to get anywhere. The city center is just 10 - 20 minutes walking away. If you have a rental car you can park for free in the next block (65 meters away)

Plusy: Easy come and go attitude, all of us had keys for access even though reception was available until 10 pm, 5 euros in a taxi to the centre and 30 from the airport, caters for adults or families all made welcome, brilliant.

Minusy: Really lovely friendly people, made us all welcome in very comfortable surroundings, clean and tidy and the breakfast was free with a wide choice to choose from, we were on a early flight and food was put in our fridge as we would miss breakfast, Thank you all so much for our stay.

Plusy: Great staffs, clean, good location, we were well looked after

Plusy: The staff were excellent and although we had to leave early they still prepared a breakfast for us and had it delivered to our room.

Plusy: Simple, modern, stylish and well located. Out of the busy streets area. We had a small studio with a kitchenette and a couch, which is more than what we needed, but gave us extra comfort and space. The location is just a 5 to 6 minute walk from the "Campo 24 de Agosto" metro station. Walking distance (15 minutes) to the edge of the city centre, for people that like to walk. Small convenience stores and cafés just around the corner. Staff is very knowledgeable and gave us great tips on what and what not to do. Breakfast has a bit of both worlds with plenty of sweet and enough savoury: will make both Portuguese and International guests happy.

Minusy: The sound dampening between rooms is not the best: we could easily hear people going up and down the stairs in the room next door. Unfortunately it is allowed to smoke outside the rooms, so you may get some cigarette smell in your studio if other guests are smoking outside in the shared patio (and your windows are open).

Plusy: I lile the welcome drinks ang cake and the bfast the room is clean and smells good. The owner the staff and the father of the jao is super nice.. We will probably comeback and recommend to our friends thank you sooo much it was amazing

Plusy: Friendliness. Very new, will reccommend to the friends.

Plusy: The owner is very nice and helpful. He speaks many languages. Very sympathetic welcome. Very good and complete breakfast : homemade cake, excellent bread, jam, cheese, and meat.

Plusy: Returned to Gaia Porto Hostel after 4 years and it is still as good as it used to be. The host Joao and his family are amazing, they know how to take care of their guests. Location is nice with many restaurants and grocery shops in the area. Besides, views from the terrace are unbelievable. Breakfast is probably the best out of all the hostels I have been to.

Plusy: We have stayed here a few times - the staff are all so friendly, the rooms big & spacious, the breakfast is always so good! Shuttle bus to/from airport, great location!

Minusy: Having stayed there before, the only complaint this time was that towels were quite thin (old?) - would expect better. This is nothing to do with the maids, they are only doing their job - but Quality assurance by the manager to check these matters would improve the whole experience.

Plusy: Free airport shuttle is perfect.

Minusy: In my room 119 was not possible to connect to WiFi. The bathroom was not clean and the door of the balcony was broken can not open.

Plusy: Always very good, close to the airport with shuttle service. The rooms are spacious, the shower super spacious. Quiet despite proximity to the airport. Also restaurant is very ok with a small selection of local dishes.

Plusy: Hotel w doskonałej lokalizacji z pięknym widokiem na rzekę, kilkaset metrów od ścisłego centrum. Pokoje, jak i sam obiekt, bardzo czyste i zadbane, wyposażone we wszystko czego trzeba. Śniadania smaczne, choć mogłyby być nieco bardziej urozmaicone.

Plusy: Zamawialiśmy zwykły pokój dwuosobowy, ale umieszczono nas w apartamencie z balkonem z zapierającym dech widokiem na rzekę i most Ponte Luis I. Od mostu, będącego jedną z najważniejszych atrakcji Porto, dzieli hotel odległość około 100 metrów. Hotel jest położony przy ważnej ulicy bięgnącej wzdłuż rzeki do zabytkowego centrum miasta, ale nie stanowi to większego problemu i nie jest źródłem dużego hałasu. Wnętrza urządzono w jasnych barwach i są bardzo przyjemne. Śniadania były bardzo dobre i urozmaicone, z dużym wyborem lokalnych słodkości. Serwowano je w jadalni z widokiem na rzekę- nie chciało się odchodzić od stołu. Personel był pomocny i sprawny, ale dyskretny i nie narzucający się. Biegacze mogą śmiało planować trening. Wzdłuż rzeki, aż do oceanu i dalej wzdłuż brzegu oceanu, ciągną się chodniki i szerokie deptaki z malowniczymi widokami.

Minusy: Przydałby się większy blat albo półka w łazience. Hotel ma minimalną ilość miejsc parkingowych. Ciężko się doszukać większych minusów.

Plusy: Beautiful, luxurious rooms, very clean. Excellent breakfast service and a wonderful buffet. Knowledgeable staff and very quick to help. An example is that I needed a key replacement and there was a long line of people checking in. I went to the Guest Relations Manager to ask, and first she said I had to wait in line, but then she herself came over to open a counter and get me my key fast. The location is not a problem, we took Uber and it cost 7 euro to get to the bridge.

Minusy: Well if I must find something I didn't like, I'd say the view from our room was nothing much, but then we were out most of the day, and the Club Room view was very nice, it had a balcony.

Plusy: I liked EVERYTHING!

Plusy: The service of the staff and the location of the hotel

Minusy: For breakfast fried eggs as standard off on the buffet would be nice

Plusy: Great value for money in a prime location for seeing what Porto has to offer. Everything is within walking distance and the hotel is very close to the famous Don Luis Bridge.

Minusy: Only negative was the pool was closed for annual maintenance but they did provide access to a Spa down the road.

Plusy: The staff were excellent, they couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious and ready for us when we arrived (earlier than the usual check-in time). We were initially disappointed that the spa area was closed during our stay but the guest relations team were exceptional in their dealings with our concerns. We would certainly book again.

Minusy: We only chose this hotel for the pool and spa. When we went to use it on the first morning there was a sign on the door saying it was closed until mid-December. At no point when booking were we informed. This was the only reason we chose this hotel. Otherwise we would have stayed somewhere with a spa that was open, or a more chrachterful hotel in a different part of town. The receptionist told us we could instead use a leisure centre pool for free - about 10 mins walk away, not particularly nice, certainly no substitute for having a spa on site, and with a requirement of full body swim suits meaning we had to go shopping first.

Minusy: It is a good hotel. But if I'm going to Porto again I'll pick a hotel closer to the old town and city center. This one is not within walking distance to the center.

Minusy: A bit far from the historic centre if you are a tourist - however there is a bus stop virtually outside on two lines that take you to the centre and it is only a 10 minute walk from the metro. Cab from the centre is 6-7euros.

Plusy: The breakfast hot food was cold .

Plusy: Very convenient location, close to everywhere! No need to rent a car or call a cab. Not sure why it has no bell boys but not a big deal.

Minusy: Only have few English channels it would be perfect if they can offer more English TV programs

Plusy: Excellent central location with all the sites within easy walking distance. Room very clean and well equipped. Bathroom is luxury. Staff very attentive and willing to share local knowledge.

Minusy: Being in a central location the hotel is shoehorned between buildings and hence there are no views. The amenity areas are limited with no real bar area. Plenty of local bars and fantastic restaurants

Minusy: Nie było żadnych niedogodności.

Plusy: My girlfriend and I are traveling through Portugal and Spain and the Vincci Porto hotel has by far been the best. The location is a good walking distance from the city, however it is doable and the tram stops right outside of the hotel. The staff is friendly and the facility is amazing. We will definitely be staying here again next time we come to Porto

Plusy: Jeden z najlepszych hotelu w Portugalii. Świetna lokalizacja. Tuż nad rzeką ale nie w samym centrum. Spacer z hotelu do Ribeiry to prawdziwa przyjemność. Hotel jest bardzo cichy, na uboczu ale tuż przy przystanku tramwaju i autobusu. Bardzo fajny design. Wszystko urządzone bardzo nowocześnie. Pomocny personel. Dobre śniadania. Hotel z prawdziwym klimatem. Polecam.

Plusy: Very clean, helpful staff, rich breakfast, comfortable bed, the little Christmas surprise on the door handle (a mini bunch of chocolate fishes).

Minusy: No variety of the hotel facilities, and the surroundings are not so turistic.

Plusy: Great for travelers wanting to go back in the historic past of Europe.

Plusy: Unusual property, the old fish market. Great welcome with complimentary sparkling wine, fruit and chocolate as a surprise on my birthday. Totally unexpected but very much appreciated.
