Plusy: The car was fine
Minusy: I do not like that they make the rentals for every 24 hours. It doesn't work realistically for renting a vehicle (especially when you're paying for 3 days but only get it for exactly 48 hours). I will not be using dollar again. Also, a $200 hold is a little excessive. I've had $100 held before, but $200 is a little ridiculous. Because of the way they do the time for pick-up and drop-off, it was very hard to schedule for when I actually needed the car and they wouldn't work with me.

Plusy: I was never informed that the drop off in Mooresville was during business hours so I had to travel 20+ miles to find the office was closed. Very inconvenient that I had to return the next day.
Minusy: Being notified that Mooresville office was closed with no after hour drop off. Plattsburgh pick up was excellent.

Plusy: Budget was great. They gave us an upgraded vehicle at no extra charge and everything went very smoothly from check-in to return.
Minusy: KAYAK!! I had requested a reservation from BTV (Burlington) and when I received my confirmation email, I noticed that you had made me a reservation from a different airport in upstate New York! That would have been useless, so I had to call Budget directly to modify the reservation which eliminated any price advantage I had received through Kayak.

Drop-Off Fee Too High...
Plusy: Everything about the car and the rental experience was great. It was my first time in a Ford Fiesta, I was very impressed. I was also given the option a free upgrade to a Mustang, however it didn't have enough luggage space. The road conditions were also wet, slushy, rainy, and snowy, so it's likely that this is why it was a free upgrade... they can't rent the car otherwise and my rental would have gotten it further south away from crappy weather where thay can charge more for it.
Minusy: The $100 one way drop off fee seems excessive! I'm hoping to recover these fees from the airline that screwed me in the first place, making me have to rent a car to drive 6 hours away to fly home
