Bad
Really the worst service you can ask for is here
Work stay
Very nice very close to everything for sure coming back to stay here
Bad
My rooms was not cleaned upon arrival they gave me a dirty room One of my rooms was leaking
The pool sides were dirty
Do not stay here.
The entire experience was abysmal. I left 1 day into a 6 day stay.
Mold in room. Parties and smoking in corridors and rooms. Empty alcohol bottles beside the pool. Zero customer service. The worst I’ve ever experienced.
BEWARE!!!!2star Establishment (GOOD Luck)
The only thing I liked was the location, the stores, restaurant (Orange Blossom and Sweet Liberty) are Fantastic! Also the beach is across the street at end of 20th street.
The room ( Deluxe double beds with balcony) was not clean. The floor was filthy, there was a dried blood splatter on the wall. The shower head in the bathroom needed to be clean, there was so much grime. There were no trash bags, towels, frigerator was filthy inside. The refrigerator ( mini bar) had absolutely nothing, it was not restocked! I did tell management all of this. They said that someone from housekeeping was going to come up, that didn't happen. I informed Mngmt 3x The only thing management did fixed was the sink above light! This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had :-( there is a CVS at the corner of the street, which I had to buy disinfectant, Lysol products so I can clean the room since no one ever came, and I had my kids with me! We never had anyone come to give us fresh towels nor fresh linens nor to clean the blood splatter!!!! I did try to depart and go to another hotel, to find out that they charge me the first night, the full $1300 + 100 holding fee! I don't recommend this hotel unless you are, a party-goer, A night owl,or you are in- ages of 21 to 27!!!! I do believe Bookings.com should remove this hotel and change the rating to a 2-star! This was HORRIBLE!!!!! S U P E R B A D!!!!! PS. NOTE: this Establishment(Riviera Hotel) does not even have any beach chairs Nor cabanas on the beach (which will need) Also there swimming pools are small and do NOT have adequate chairs beds etc the pool didn't look clean.
Good
It was a great location. Very walkable to the beach. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and we were there during a very busy time. The room was spacious and clean.
We did have to wait a little bit for our room to be ready. We arrived about 2 hours after check-in. The rooftop pool was smaller than expected, from the pictures. The hotel common areas had a very musty smell... not pleasant.
Pleasant
Loved the balcony and view
No good channels on the TV .
This hotel makes me never...
Absolutely NOTHING at all!
The staff was horrible. I only got 1 roll of tissue. I had to go buy my own tissue and towels because I only got one towel with the room and two rags.
Horrible customer service!
The room size of the apartment suite
I liked they had a heated pool and also a roof top pool . Pools closed at sunset which sucked I got a suite and bathroom ceiling was leaking , They never answer at the front office , gotta go across the street to it personally because they have 2 buildings Maintence did not come had to go across the street for a second time to alert someone. I used all my towels on the leak and they never provided more . I asked a housekeeper she told me to go to the office even tho she had a bag full of clean towels and rags . Asked the front office 3 times . Which means I had to leave my building 3 times . And still even tho I was promised by the hotel staff they would bring clean rags and towels personally they did not. Would I stay here again I’m unsure ?
Bad
Very Bad Communication
Lack of competent staff
Nightmare
Nothing
The worst experience in my life ... Stay away from this place .they are thieves and disrespectful with their service and treatment of customers.
Passable
The staff was very accommodating. The heated pool was really warm.
The property wasn’t very clean. I understand about house keeping during Covid but they should at least drop off clean towels or knock to offer clean towels daily. Having to ask for towels was a bit annoying. Especially if the check in or out was busy. The mini bar was unnecessary in the room i was in. It would be better if they offered mini fridge and microwave in those rooms. Chocolate on top of a running fridge makes you not even want the melted chocolate. Plus there are 3 stores within one block of the hotel. Again mini fridge and microwave. And I’m not talking about the suites with the full kitchen. That’s irrelevant People smoking cigarettes and marijuana all over the “non smoking” property. I didn’t sit on the lounge furniture near the pools because they didn’t seem very clean. No bars open at the pools they looked pretty rundown. Didn’t look like the pictures.
It was a great stay,...
Location was great, hotel was awesome
The staff was rude and harassment occurred the last night of my stay. The only staff member who was nice was Amaury Guzman. He was a pleasure to have as a receptionist.
TERRIBLE
NOTHING..... ROOM WAS DIRTY SPECIAL THE BATHROOM DISGUSTING SHOWER DOES NOT WORK APPROPRIATE...
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ... YOU WILL THANK ME !!!
Great location but noisy
The beautiful courtyard, the pools, the balcony and the location.
Very noisy, dim lighting in room, little control of AC. TV remote barely worked and tv kept turning on.
Not a family place!
The location was perfect! One block to the beach
The walls were like paper and you could hear everything. The pool was supposed to close at night but people were partying all night at the pool and our room faced the pool. No one was able to sleep at all!
My wonderful experience
I loved the room and the view I had ! It was amazing !
I didn’t like how long it took to check into the hotel
My ok stay
The property was nice.
The only problem was that my room door didn’t work. Well the key to open the door didn’t work. The man at the front desk was very helpful and tried his best to make sure we were comfortable but they need to get that fixed.
Exceptional
I liked the Room
I liked everything.
This is a 2.3-3 star...
Location - CVS is close, some happy hours, and the beach isn’t too far off. Plus a deli that is open until midnight.
It’s okay. It looks like it was “renovated” with a coat of paint and new furniture. Our room felt grimy. Some else’s trash was still in our room, the phone was caked up with dirt, reception never answered the phone. It wouldn’t have met my cleanliness standard pre covid and it still doesn’t post covid. Good for a college kid maybe...
Passable
Location is great! Very close to collins ave and south beach is a 15 min walk. Room was clean, but out dated. Ok for the price. Good if u are on a budget.
I had the king suite #105. The walls were thin could hear neighbors and the floors were even worse. When ever the people above me would walk, it sounded like they were going to come thru the roof. Got woken up every night to sounds of foots steps. Room out dated
Pleasant
Location
Checking in ,room wasn’t ready waited an hour two days in a row someone called the police Everyone complained. Toilets wasn’t working.Tissue was wet like it fell in the toilet. Fights and hanging out in front of hotel. Happy hour drinks are weak but the bartender is nice... Stay at this location February 27-March 2 2021
The location is really the only great thing about this hotel.
The check in process was a complete disaster, leaving a lobby full of people waiting for very long periods of time.
I won’t stay here again.
This location was horrible. The pluming was horrible , the water won’t go down in the sink at all. We asked them for towels and to come fix the sink they never came ! We can’t even call the front desk because the phone in the room doesn’t work. The rooms are very dark , theirs only two little lamps so you have to keep the curtains wide open. Theirs a hole on the Ceiling covered with tissue. And the toilet seat is broken!! It’s beyond dirty . I would not stay here again. The pictures are really pretty online , the pool looks amazing ONLINE ! Everything in person looks horrible .
Very poor
Just the location you have close stores around
It’s very dirty everywhere from lobby to the elevator My room was disgusting, I did stay 3 days , - my room was never clean I paid 1000$ for 3 nights- thats crazy money for this hotel and on the google maps it’s said is 4 star hotel - even not close, I will said it’s 2 star hotel ( no more )
Not what I expected. Unenjoyable.
Location, balcony
Room was smaller than pictured online. Bed was missing a leg. Only one elevator and it takes forever. Room was half cleaned. Looked like they just spray everything and wipe nothing down. Hotel staff were there at check in times only seemed like. Couldn't get staff on phone. Had to ask for clean towels and rags three times. Also pool closes early at 6. The happy hour is more like happy 2 minutes because you only get 1 drink and the hotel preselects your drink I will not be staying here agajn.ĺ
Dont stay at the Riveria...
2 blocks from beach
Riveria management lied to me about allowing me to cancelling my reservation, talked to booking.com they agreed to honor my request to check out early, the Riveria agreed to honor my request to check out early and then subsequently charged me for the two rooms for days we did not stay at the hotel extremely disappointed that my refund has gone on deaf ears and denied. Do not stay at the Riveria or use Booking.com
Disappointing
Location
The hotel didn’t give me my deposit back for no reason. Also they charged me extra money for the services was not provided. I’ve been trying to contact the hotel to resolve the issue but nobody picking up the phone. I sent the message via booking and they replied me that I used mini bar but we are not even touch it and I should call the hotel to resolve the issue. I was asking what the phone number should I call and they said that same number and they was so busy with customers that they not picking up. And gave me the email of manager and said that I have contact her. I sent her couple emails and never got an answer. Looks like it was done on purpose. Be aware and take of picture of your room when you checked out. I don’t think that such of service can be in the 4 stars hotel.
Poor
I do not recommend this hotel for a long stay . It’s ok for one night only .
TERRIBLE MISLEADING
The location was okay. They stated beach access however, the beach was a couple of blocks.
Nothing

Location was cool
The room was icky! Very damp inside. Very moist. Needs to be aired out. I was disappointed.
Filthy, understaffed
The location
The facilities were absolutely filthy. The hall carpets were littered with debris and not vacuumed until the third day when I pointed out how disgusting it was. The pool was littered with trash from the previous night (at 2 pm.) We were given only 2 bath towels, no hand towels for 4 people. The room was tiny and the sink is outside the bathroom so you can’t brush your teeth without waking up the room. And the bathroom door is glass so don’t turn on the light either. Every single thing you need requires a 15-20 minute wait at the front desk and they were pretty much always backed up with people complaining. The first room we were given had what was clearly nasal secretions wiped on the bathroom walls. I heard another guest complain of blood in the room he’d just checked into. The hotel was very noisy at night with people yelling in the courtyard area and no staff intervened in spite of it being 1 am. We wanted to check out early but couldn’t because the manager was not available until the last day of our trip. Would not recommend, especially for families. Oh and the beds aren’t even true queens. So small!
Having a separate room from the bedroom.
There were parties going on throughout the hotel. In the room above us they were partying with loud music until 4 AM and then started again at 8 AM. We complain to the front desk, but it did not make any difference.
Overpriced, nice employees but overloaded,...
The location is good, close to the beach and shopping, nice employees
Do not clean rooms and ask you to leave trash and towels at front desk, mattresses really old and uncomfortable, you have to pick up at front desk toilet paper and toiletries, loud air conditioning, employees do not wear masks even when talking to you, very old and dark rooms full of dust, dirty windows...depressing
Exceptional
Love this hotel. My new favorite place to stay.
Disappointing
The lies that they told regarding hotel. The hot water kept going out.
Would not stay here again....
The lobby was beautiful. The front desk staff was awesome.
The room was so tiny that we couldn't even open our luggage nor could we store it in the minuture closet. We had to store our luggage in the bathroom and move it when we showered. Both mattresses caved in in the middle of the bed (no support under a temperpedic matress). Ran out of toilet paper (no extra supplied). A prior guests head phones were left in the ice bucket/wine glass tray (yuck-you know that housekeeping clearly didn't clean it).
Nice hotel
The property was beautiful ! Nice vibe and it was very clean.
The staff seemed to be a bit all over the place. It took a really long time fir us to get checked in, and the lobby was filled with angry guests.
One word disappointed
Room was not as pictured, lighting sucked, had pizza sauce on floor and moldy pepperoni and crumbs on frame of the bed that touched sheets, told us we got upgraded but felt like a downgrade to me
Bad
Close to the beach.
1. My fiancé and I had to use the same wash clothes for 4 days because the front desk stated that they do don’t have any fresh ones. 2. We were given the wrong room that was already occupied and had to wait for a new room. 3. The staircase had a used tampon and a blood trail leading up to the rooftop pool. 4. Our sink did not work. 5. Our ceiling with the AC/vent leaked the entire time. 6. The toilet leaked every time it was flushed and leaked into the room. 7. Every complaint I made, they said that I needed to contact you but I was not able to get a hold of you. I am going to be completely honest, this was the WORST experience that I have ever had. I paid over $600 for a very poor experience and I am very upset. Please let me know what next steps would be for compensation for this stay.
The rooms need more attention
The location was awesome
The room was I but chape the bathroom door was broken, it didn’t close at all and almost falling
Good
Close to beach, rooftop pool, design
No cleaning available for COVID, no extra toilet paper, keys had to be fixed several times, restaurant closed
Very good
Great walk to the beach on 3 mins away. Also had a great breakfast and sushi spot very close
Too far walking distance from actual strip with all food places. Room not very spacious and Very small bathroom but it a super nice set
Terrible Service
The location
The property looks like a youth hostel more than an hotel and the service has no coherence with the 4 stars rating. The rooms are dirty (hair and stains everywhere). The manager offered to change my room, I looked at 4 different rooms, all dirty, with a roach leg in the middle of the bathroom, all carpets full of hair from previous guests, stains on all surfaces and dirt in all corners. The cleaning ladies are using a broom instead of a vacuum cleaner. I ended up buying products and cleaning my room myself. Common areas are worst: old dirty carpets, water flooding from the plants, Trash on hallways, vomit in the elevator. Also there is absolutely no cleaning included during the stay. The service seems greedy as it is kept to the minimum. Customers must ask the front desk to change towels or to get additional supplies. Most requests are not immediately taken care of, or not taken care at all. The staff is polite but there is more talking than acting. I went back and forth with front desk for 3 days in a row to get a decent clean room. I have requested a blanket when temperature got under 60, I had to ask twice, I only got a thin blanket, I asked for a thicker one and never got it. The shower was warm but not hot, the manager came to try to fix it, it worked for the sink not for the shower, the maintenance person never came and I never got to enjoy a hot shower. Clientele is disrespectful playing loud music in the common area and banging doors in the middle of the night. Definitely too far from a 4 stars service.
Overpriced, understaffed, used products in...
Good location, close to blue ribbon restaurant for sushi, not far from Lincoln Road for shopping
Poor service, mattress uneven (big slope on one side) and bumpy really uncomfortable, had to wait two days to have shower towels, shampoo and conditioner used by previous guests in the shower when I arrived, dirty window facing a wall with no natural light, this hotel does not clean the room until you leave, reception does not answer the phone, crowed at check in with no distance in the lobby, old air conditioning extremely noisy, room card did not work and need to wait to have it replaced
Unsatisfying stay
Property has hidden fees, only provided two bath clothes and when asked for more they gave me huge hand towels, young crowd in and out the building we were in all night drinking, smoking, being loud, dancing, phone inside room didn’t work, parking was terrible... you had to park in parking garage across street and walk down the garage with your luggage to get to room! I feel the room is overrated with the accommodations and everything that you have to deal with, I will not be referring anyone or returning to the Riveria !!!
More like “Riviera Hostel”
We liked the location and the balcony. The rooftop pool and the hot tub were great too! Staff gave us a different room when we reported cleanliness and noise issues. The beach towels supply was good.
Cleanliness: If you stay here, get ready for a few “icky” moments. Our socks were coated in hair after walking through the room, the room and the bed generally feel moist and grubby, even the rusty $5 trash bin hasn’t been replaced. The pool areas are not being attended well at all: garbage, bottles and dirt all over the place and the poolside mattresses need to be tossed out. Amenities lacked: The AC only cools- no heating so prepare if you’re traveling here in winter and temps drop below 60°F, no cable or smart TV. A vanity for the bathroom stuff was missing. No ceiling lights. Weak wifi. Safety: Patio doors don’t lock tight, they can be easily opened from the outside with a hard pull, which is concerning since we were on the first floor. Noise: sound travels here, earplugs are a MUST or you won’t sleep through the night. The problem is that the ceiling is exposed concrete... good for aesthetics, but terrible for noise. As other reviews state, you can hear every footstep above you. Overall the clientele is a noisy/party bunch and on the more ratchet side. All rooms spur off the courtyard, which seems to entice drunk people to gather, play their ratchet music and generally not care about others sleeping at 2am. Summary: This is not a 4 star hotel and should not be an 8.2 on Booking.com. It just wasn’t what we were expecting based on the way this hotel is branded. We naively thought that because hotel management seemed to be attentive and responsive to bad reviews, that the bad reviewers were the type that just couldn’t be pleased. Well now here we are, wishing we would have listened to the bad reviews because we now experienced first-hand what a majority of the reviews stated. My advice is to not end up like us saying “ohh we read that in a review” over and over again. Check out the Google reviews.. they paint a more accurate picture of what you can expect.
Superb
Central location, just two blocks from the beach and three from Lincoln Mall. Hotel and rooms are funky and stylish, a tiny bit rough around the edges here and there but really nothing to worry about. Wifi was strong and stable. Front-desk staff is outstandingly polite, helpful and fun. They also have a happy hour which unfortunately I was unable to join, but was nonetheless appreciated. Overall great value and I'd stay here again.
Superb
It’s homely clean and comfortable
No parking
Terrible experience
Great location, walking distance to many restaurants and luxury hotels Comfortable bed
Dirty, outdated room Caterpillar next to my bed!!! Super noisy, paper walls - couldn’t sleep all night!
Not at all what I...
Nothing.
The staff didn't help at all. The room was not clean. The cleaning stuff and garbage were outside the door like a cheap hotel. The parking without a valet and the nearest parking was awful, even scary one.
I will return here
Amazing
Superb
The staff was amazing J Pita on second shift should definitely have his own hotel to run. Customer service was above and beyond expectations. A man did something in front of me and my 10 year old daughter, he was put out immediately. Loved the location wonderful Cuban Deli across the street. Beach is five minute walk every thing is close. Definitely going back because of J.Pita my daughter loved him she called him Pita Bread. He checked on us every day. Great guy here if he goes to another building I will go where he is working at.
That both pools are not heated. But that is my only complaint.
Very small rooms
It was close to the beach and other clubs in the area
The rooms were as small as a prison and expensive. The pictures fooled me on this app so I made the best of it.
Wonderful staff
They helped you with everything you needed and asked for. It was clean and staff was friendly. We booked a king and they didn’t have any when we got in late but were ready to help switch our room when we were ready to the next morning
The place may seem a little “bare bones” for example only sheets on the bed. But we asked for blankets and they were extremely accommodating.
Superb
Great location, near the beach, a block off of A1A and not far from Lincoln Blvd, staff was very friendly.
Great experience and value.
Centralized location.

Decent Stay
I liked the bathroom and the bathroom shower, I also really enjoyed the stereo that was in the room. The pool was also nice, happy hour was also great. Staff was nice. Bed was extremely comfortable.
Room was very small, you could hear noises from other rooms sometimes. The elevator was not working the whole time. There was no body mirror in room, it was hard to get dressed. A hot tub would of been nice too. Hotel location was a bit far from main attractions in south beach, wish it a bit closer.
Details
Attention to details if I asked for anything it came right away in most cases from the person I asked
Hot water - not consistent in the mornings
Superb
Great location!
Disappointing
The room was clean and comfortable, great location.
They didn't have additional rags and/or towels. Some of the staff was rude. I know Miami is known for warm weather, but it was 48 degrees outside and they didn't have heat. I was freezing, even under the comforter.
Very good
The location was great easy to access the beach and parking
My room was a little too dark. We needed more light
Great location, but small rooms...
The location is great if you want to enjoy Miami Beach. However because of this, parking is impossible as many other reviews state.
The room was small, and there is no control of the thermostat temperature. Our room was not once cleaned during our 3 night stay and when we inquired why, we were told it was a COVID policy. However I had not been informed of that during booking or check in. The beds only have sheets to cover with, no blanket, and in January the room did get cold at night. We had to go down to the front desk ourselves to get fresh towels after two days of them not being changed.
Good place but personal overloaded.
I like the price and location, in general, a good place. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
I didn't like: 1. Persistent queue at reception. 2. Reception never take a phone for room service and other questions. 3. Problem with beach towels. 4. People sleeping in the yard of the hotel.
Poor
Thanks to Booking.com for free room upgrade, but king suite with balcony looked completely different from the picture. The bed in our room was pretty nice.
There's no room cleaning and breakfast provided. Now the only one explanation for all the outrageous things "it's because of covid"... No street parking at the area, I assume it's everywhere in Miami Beach, parking garage in front of the hotel cost $25/day but extremely stupid staff work there, doesn't even try to speak English. Also pretty loud at the hotel and we tried to call the security - there was nobody. The neighborhood store the only one spot where you can buy water or some necessary stuff is crazy overpriced. Miami Beach is not the US anymore, it's more Cuba and Puerto Rico destroying this historical resort place from the inside - mess and dirt. Sad.
Changed Since Last Stayed
They simply have not upkeep the property. The roof top used to be be clean pleasant to go to. Now people leave garbage everywhere there’s never anyone cleaning especially with this COVID situation. Hey not the same vibe it used to be.
Wrong room given
The location
Customer service, reservation was wrong. I booked a king room through booking.com and was only given a queen. They said there was nothing they could do the first night as I had checked in quite late 7pm, but would hold me a king room for the following day. When I went to move rooms the following day they said it was too late and should have been there between 10-11am. They said I could come the next day to talk to the manager who would be available between 10-11am. So I went to the front desk the following morning at 10am, but managed wasn’t available. They kept blaming booking.com for not sharing the correct information. They said my room type was “room with balcony” and it didn’t specify bed size. But Booking.com kept saying they sent through a “king room with balcony”. I spent hours at the front desk and hours on the phone. No one was accepting blame for the mistake. I just checked out a day early and asked for a refund for my final night but still haven’t heard back. Not sure I ever will. Could not get through to the reservations team on the phone after multiple attempts. Terrible customer service.
Parties going on every night....
Prices and location
Noisy
Superb
The location the staff was very helpful with letting us know what’s going on in the area
The cleanness around the property
Bad
I have asked for my money back since there was trash everywhere condoms on the rooftop where they’re supposed to be heated pool that was ice cold the room had no heat there was so many issues with this property I will never stay again I want my money back
No heat no heated pool no happy hour filthy condoms on the rooftop bar walked into a three person orgy on the roof I would never stay here again I had my daughter with me I want my money back
I wouldnt stay at this...
The staff charged extra money even after paying in full at booking. Room booked was a king bed and we got twin beds instead. The building was adjacent to the main building and had no staff in it at all. Pool was dirty with a lot of stuff floating in it. It was probably one of the worse places Ive stayed in. The only front desk staff had a very thick accent where no one could understand half of what he was saying. There were others complaining that they didnt have hot water or air conditioner switched on.
COVID has affected the property
The location is just 2 blocks from either Collins or Washington so there’s lots to see and do nearby.
Front desk is staffed inconsistently and the restaurant is temporarily closed.
Poor
Room was big
Old and over used
Passable
It is a beautiful hotel. Close to everything. Nice staff & clean hotel.
We had it booked for four days and the first two we had no AC. It’s 85 in our room and we had a 9 month old baby. Complained to the staff 4 times and just decided to leave which at that point the staff had fixed it. We had the windows open to try and cool it down since it was very windy outside. I was told multiple times just close your windows and it will cool down.
The room was so small.
The fact it’s close to restaurants and the beach
The pools were outside of the hotel
Great lobby but nasty.
The lobby was nice. And the tall man behind the counter was nice and very helpful too.
It reminded me a lot of the run down hotels that are like 20 dollars a night in ur hometown that pimps sell modern day pin up girls out of. Smelt bad and suite I was upgraded to had a hole in the wall facing the bathroom. There was some creepy guy in the hallway asking chicks what floor and room they were staying in. I booked it for 3 nights after the first night my wife and I checked out because I stayed up all night watching the door and listening to the drunk in the hallway running back An fourth. The day staff was pretty nice and the lobby was too. The manager doesn’t seem To be on shift a lot of the time and doesn’t like to respond to refunds. But we ended up at the palms and that place was nice. Look around before booking in south beach.
great hotel but needs a...
Great location and good hotel. This is our second time staying here and has been wonderful.
place was great but had some issues.. The Kitchen sink is TOO SMALL CHANGE ASAP!!! Also one of the two stop top burners did not work. and with no oven had to go out to eat for Thanksgiving. We stayed for Thanksgiving week and had been parking on street with no problem all week. Came outside Thanksgiving morning to car towed. Holiday parking rules were in effect. 40 dollar ticket and 250 tow. 15 dollar Uber to go 1 mile to get car.
Thank you!
My staying was amazing and stuff is friendly, respectful and nice!!! Thank you!! I definitely will come back!
Very, Very bad experience
The photos posted in Booking does not reflect the real Hotel. This Hotel is a small building, You have to walk to different buildings to go to the pool. The beach is about 7 blocks from this location. The room smell bad, old, and the HVAC is very noisy. The window in the room is lock, I couldn't open it to take fresh air. Also, behind that window is just a lot of plants and a big wall. I was charged for TWO days and I just stayed One date. Also, they charged me $100 for each night as a security deposit that still doesn't get it back in my account. Booking team, plz help me to get my money back. I just stayed there one night. I forgot to mention that the same day i arrived, one more customer around 3pm made the same complaint, about this hotel
Nothing. well the guy in the lobby was nice, but he didn't help to solve this issue, I say him that i stayed one night, but he charged me two nights because it was my reservation. He just kept saying "go to Booking"
The location was great. The staff was great, Mark Kelly was very helpful when my first reservation was cancelled.
I didn’t like that the hotel was not very informative on accommodations that were not available. I was told that hotel would offer a beach pass that allowed for occupants to get a beach chair for free. When asked, they said they no longer. I had to pay for a chair both days times 2. Also, the AC unit leaked the whole time and was very loud. The room smelled damp, and the floor between the bathroom and ajoining room was warped and damp. The pool area was dirty and dusty. Due to Covid19, I would have expected the area to be a little more sanitized. The elevator was also dusty and carpet looked as if it had not been vaccuumed recently. Hotel also needs more lighting. No tissue in bathroom. Since there was no housekeeping, it would seem that more towels and tissue would be readily available in your room. I did however like the feel of the hotel, just expected it yo be cleaner.

We have been staying at the Riviera Suites a couple of times now and have never been disappointed. The personell is very friendly and always willing to help. We had a very pleasant stay, again. Beach is not even a five minute walk. Nice flair at the ground floor pool (but bring insect repellent with you). TV is working fine with HDMI. There are parking spots for $20 a day not too far away - like 7 minutes to walk.
There was some noise from a construction site, but the personell tries not to place your room directly next to it. And even if it happens to be, they did not start before 9 pm and we were up at that time anyways.
Very good price, very friendly...

Arismendy, Amaury, Christopher, Pierre, and the front desk manager (I apologize we only spoke briefly he gave me a great recommendation for a store I needed though) were all great && made my stay amazing. The property was well maintained and away from the crowds, we’ll be returning
First time stay && loved...

It’s location is good and the rooms are clean but very plain with little decor
Very few security staff in the evening. A lot of people smoking marijuana on the premises and near the pool. Automatic 20 percent tip added without telling you and when questioned then said they all do it in the area. Asked for an extra blanket and was told they were all in the laundry. Not a good value or atmosphere for a family with kids
Pleasant

Bed was nices room was nice.
Everything was Great. Thanks
The staff were all helpful & friendly & we were in a good location for getting around South Beach
We stayed in one of the suites and the floors were very noisy to walk on & other guests walked about like elephants above us & the walls were paper thin . We had a really selfish noisy family next door who talked at normal levels & much higher through 3 nights of our stay so we couldn’t get any proper sleep at all. The doors all slammed everywhere. The pictures on the websites don’t give you a true picture. We couldn’t wait to leave the place. We definitely would not recommend the place to any of our friends.
The staff were friendly and the location is very good.
I had to ask someone to change the temperature of my AC, and they sad it was not possible to change the temperature without contact the reception. They changed only in the next day. My room was not that clean how I was expecting. They did not change the cups that I use in my room for new clean cups.
I book in booking.com I arrive in hotel and I wait from 22 to 23.30 for have my room for the problem of computer of hotel..
I do not recommend! They received a package in my name and did not return it to the sender.
Comfortable bed, free cocktails between 7-8 nice touch. Good location
Room and bathroom really small, no wardrobe,no tea and coffee facilities
This hotel was a wonderful surprise. We honestly did not know what to expect. The location was excellent. We were very happy with our rooms as well and the beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the pools in 2 of your hotels. The big bonus was HAPPY HOUR. What a lovely surprise.Thank you. Last but not least, Amaury deserves a big thank you. His help and service were wonderful. Nothing was a problem.
good location, very nice staff! but over rated. the price is too high no parking for guest or agreement with parking space near hotel. they charge 43$ for valet parking per night!! .the nearest parking is 20 min walk if you come with kids .its very uncomfortable
no parking near hotel. valet parking is exploiting
Idk it was good
Idk nothing
Great location - quiet and clean. 4 star rating probably a little inflated but consistent with other 4 stars in Miami. Decent sized rooms and comfortable beds.
Paper thin walls - seemed to have a lot of private events at their pool, which closed it. Was 25 min late checking out and received 5 phone calls and 2 in person visits during that time - seemed pretty excessive over less than half hour.
The staff was the best part! Very kind and willing to help. Comfortable bed!!
We were on the first floor and we could hear every movement upstairs! Sounded like a heard of elephants having a party! Some construction going on next door as well. Shower water pressure was poor but we lived!
I really loved the cleanliness of the room. It was fresh, clean feeling, smelled beautifully
There was nothing I did not like about the hotel
Suites are big, big enough to entertain in. Light and sound dampening decent--especially given that there's a lot of action across the street at Liberty Having two pools: one shaded, heated; the other rooftop and not--nice idea
Place is pretty beat up, needs updating. Pools are unattended, messy. Walls are thin: Some staff are nice, others are aloof, unhappy. Outdoor seating is taken up with street people Restaurant is really dirty and trashy. Pushy at check out time
Location
Everything about this hotel is bad. Very very small rooms and dirty. Very expensive. Nothing good about this hotel.
Very expensive for the service. Rooms are really small. I wasted $--- for small room. Parking is $42... ridiculous.
Location
No pool inside hotel
The customer service was great! I will definitely stay here again in the future.
The hallways need more lighting.
Location. Clean room. Great pool.
No room service breakfast. No laundry.
Charming
Windows leaked I. Our room during rainstorm and the outdoor restaurant tarps were all hokey, so it was a wet mess
3rd time back and it's the Staff that makes this hotel worth staying at!!
Did not have a great experience the 1st time I stayed BUT that totally changed the 2nd time!! The Staff went out of its way to make me stay incredible, I would highly recommend this Hotel! The Staff alone is worth the stay!! Thank You!!
This was my second time staying at this property and I absolutely enjoyed my stay. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I love the cleanliness from the lobby to the room. I will definitely use this property again.
Great amenities
Strange smell
Unique property with three separate buildings. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Free beach chairs and towels and it is a quick 2 block walk there.
There is a lot of construction going on around the hotel, so it is not the prettiest place to be. Parking was expensive for valet and there are no real self-park options.
NA
1. It's not 4 star 2. Bed is way too soft - you may disappear in it 3. Room extremely small 4. Extremely difficult and expensive parking 5. No spare charger for cell phone when I left it at last stop.
False advertising about the free transportation from Miami airport to the hotel !!! After 9 pm no more buses I end up paying 50 dollars for my ride in a taxi to the hotel !!! With the room rate and that money I will be able to get another hotel !!!
Great location
Shower was very dirty, with mildew. Ceiling had holes in it it.
Very clean and comfy
Parking two blocks away!
The location and free happy hour.
There is a $22.50 hotel fee you must pay when you arrive and they hold $100 for incidentals. The AC stopped working in the middle of the night and we woke up sweating to death. There was no maintenance person available to fix it. No extra TP either.
I definitely recommend this place. It will be your best shot!
The restaurant is very expensive. And on the happy hr. There's not enough staff to serve the customers. It gets overcrowded... So you really don't get to enjoy the happy hr concept.
Cool art deco
Great location, walking distance to beach.
Valet parking is very convenient, but expensive.
Very Nice and clean Happy nightly with free drinks.
Restaurant prices were extremely expensive.
Roach hotel
There was a roach running around as we entered the room. I guess you can say, it was a surprise being welcomed by a roach. The room was tiny with a separate bathroom sink right next to the bed. Parking is horrible. Customer service is not that great. So we ended up saying forget it and checking out early to stay at double tree.
Worst experience so far
I had the worst experience in riveria south hotel . It was overal very bad experience . Comfort was zero in the room
I didn't like the hotel overall . It was pathatic
Go somewhere else
SOME of the staff were very kind. Almost kind enough to make up for the two people who had terrible attitudes when faced with an actual customer service situation prior to them. First impression is everything. The bed was actually quite comfortable.
The hotel signage is terrible for a place that makes that much money and is located on south beach. Why is that an issue here? There are multiple buildings with no parking anywhere around them and surrounded by a difficult two-lane road. The building that has the more obvious sign (shown in the picture) isn't even the building you check in at, or will likely stay. When I called trying to get assistance, the woman on the phone had a one inch fuse before I could hear her try to pass me off to somebody. She thought she was muffling the phone well enough but I could hear her telling the gentleman there how stupid I must be. They kept insisting there was a man outside, which there was nobody anywhere and she kept giving me terrible directions leading me in circles around there building as I tried to avoid letting the cars line up behind me. Finally, a gentleman I could only assume was the one she was speaking to came out and frankly spoke to me like I must be an idiot, pointing at the building aggressively yelling "Do you not see that black and white sign we are telling you about? Just use your eyes and look. This is the riviera!" in a tone that suggested I'm a child who has been crying in the back seat of his car for an hour. I didn't even feel up to letting him know they don't know left from right and he was pointing at the complete opposite of where they were guiding me on the phone. It then turned out my only option for parking was to pay $40 a night for valet. Only other option is a nearby garage for $35 a night. That is the ONLY parking option if you are driving; so budget for it. There is also a $20 hotel fee added as well. I thought the hotel fee was... Well, the rate. I had never been so frustrated by a hotel before actually even getting checked in. When expressing my discontent to the gentleman checking me in, he said he would give me a better room, which meant a room with more space and an obstacle course to the phone I needed to get to so I could ask why he though that I (checking in alone on a business trip) needed to trade the one king size bed I reserved for two smaller beds. They finally put me in the room I reserved and the bed was great besides my pillows smelling like wet towels. Let me tell you, the views of the destroyed and dilapidated buildings that just about every window comes with were great. They give you two iPod radios that have first generation plugs, so don't expect to listen to music on them. The tv had no hdmi plug to let you supplement their terrible basic cable package. Half the channels on their directory didn't work. But the fridge was stocked with overprice booze. I felt like I wasted my money and could have paid half as much for twice the experience almost anywhere else. Are there worse places? Obviously. But I would never recommend this hotel to anybody. If I was on vacation and not business, my trip would have been ruined by how short they fell of how decent they look online.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location near the beach was great. There is a convenience store 2 minutes from the hotel where you can buy food/drinks on the cheap.
The music from the bar started early and ended late. In the third building, it was very noticeable. One of the beds was noticeably more comfortable than the other. Different mattresses. The wifi signal was terrible. It went in and out and the connection was extremely slow.
Large discrepancy among staff
The staff before christmas were extremely helpful and very accommodating
The staff after christmas were negligible, rude, obnoxious and unhelpful.
Nothing
No facilities in room - no tea, coffee Room - the size of shoe box Rudest staff in the world
I love Miami
My family and I felt very welcome. They were very very friendly & helpful! I highly recommended this hotel.
Just Okay--nothing special
Close to the convention center Private balcony Contemporary room styling
Here's my list: -No ice machines...I had to go to the bar in my pajamas to get ice -Took over 30 minutes to check in -No one helped us with our bags even though they force you to pay $35 a day to value -Everyone seems to ignore you unless you directly speak to them -Air Conditioner was broken and they fixed the day we left...over 90 deg on SOBE! This left a wet, slippery film over the floor -Not very safe...anyone can walk into the side entrance of the hotel (there is no door whatsoever) and have access to the rooms -No room service even though there is a restaurant attached to the hotel -The beds were DEFINITELY not Tempurpedic as advertised; it is a cheap knockoff -I wouldn't stay here again unless I had to
DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!!!! DON'T BOOK HERE
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ! !!
EVERYTHING WAS WRONG!! IMPOSSIBLE TO CHECK IN.. LITERALLY ..WOULDN'T REFUND MY MONEY EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T STAY THERE. STAFF AND MANAGEMENT WEREN'T HELPFUL. TRIED TO CHARGE ME TWICE... NEVER EVER USE THIS SITE OR STAY AT THIS HOTEL.. HAD TO CUT TRIP SHORT BECAUSE OF ALL THE HASSLE !! STAY AWAY
Excelent staff very kindfull, excelent rooms, good cleanliness, great with kids.
